Abstract

To provide a power transmission device capable of reducing agitation resistance of lubricating liquid associated with the rotation of a planetary gear mechanism while enhancing lubricating performance.SOLUTION: A driving unit 10 includes: a planetary gear mechanism 31; and a driving unit case 11 accommodating the planetary gear mechanism 31. The planetary gear mechanism 31 includes an input shaft 311, a sun gear 312, a plurality of stepped pinions 314, a planetary carrier 316, and a ring gear 317. The sun gear 312 is an external gear provided on the input shaft 311. One end of the input shaft 311 is attached with a driven sprocket 311a. The driving unit case 11 is attached with a baffle plate 116 extending between the driven sprocket 311a and the sun gear 312. At least a part of the driven sprocket 311a and the planetary gear mechanism 31 is immersed in a lubricating oil R3 stored in a lower part of the driving unit case 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
