Abstract

To provide a column and a building capable of improving mounting strength of accessories.SOLUTION: A building comprises a mounting column 22 to which accessory mounting members are attached. The mounting column 22 has: a column capital part that is fixed to an upper structure and is provided with column capital connection holes; a column base part 42 that is fixed to a foundation 11 as a lower structure and is provided with column base connection holes 47a; and a column body 43 that is provided with upper connection holes, lower connection holes 48b, and mounting holes for attaching the accessory mounting members to the mounting column 22. The column capital part and the column body 43 are connected by upper connection bolts inserted into the column capital connection holes and the upper connection holes. The column base part 42 and the column body 43 are connected by lower connection bolts B2 inserted into the column base connection holes 47a and the lower connection holes 48b. The mounting column 22 is configured so that it can restrict transmission of a vertical load from the column body 43 to the column base part 42 via the lower connection bolts B2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
