Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an apparatus for recycling a resin composition. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventionally, ring-opening polymers of ε-caprolactam (eg, polyamide 6) have been used in the form of a mixture with additives, but methods for recycling the waste materials have been investigated.
[0003] Patent Document 1 describes a method for recycling waste materials. Specifically, first, an extruder is used to heat-melt and compress the ring-opening polymer of ε-caprolactam, and then a pressure-resistant tubular reactor is used to hydrolyze the ring-opening polymer of ε-caprolactam with superheated steam to produce ε-caprolactam. Next, a pressure-reducing device is used to remove water, and then a filter device is used to remove additives. Finally, the liquid that has passed through the filter device is purified, and ε-caprolactam is recovered. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[Diagram 2] FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram showing a modified example of the resin composition recycling device of FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0017] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0018] The resin composition recycling device of this embodiment is a device for recycling a resin composition containing a resin and an additive. The resin is not particularly limited as long as it can be depolymerized by hydrolysis, and examples thereof include polyamide (e.g., polyamide 6, polyamide 66), polyester (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT)), polycarbonate (PC), and the like. Here, the monomer constituting the resin may be a single monomer or a plurality of monomers. When the monomer constituting the resin is a plurality of monomers, at least a part of the monomer constituting the resin is recovered. The additive is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include inorganic fibers such as glass fibers and carbon fibers, organic fibers such as aramid fibers and cellulose-based fibers, talc, mica, aluminum flakes, and the like, and two or more of them may be used in combination. The resin composition recycling device of this embodiment is particularly effective when recycling fiber-reinforced resin.
[0019] FIG. 1 shows an example of a resin composition recycling device according to the present embodiment.
[0020] The resin composition recycling device 10 includes an extrusion reactor 11 for hydrolyzing the resin contained in the resin composition to obtain a depolymerized product, and a vaporizer 12 for thermally decomposing the depolymerized product to vaporize the monomer. The extrusion reactor 11 includes a raw material feeder 11a and a raw material hopper 11b as a first introduction section for introducing the resin composition, a high-pressure water pump 11c and a water heater 11d as a second introduction section for introducing water, and a screw for crushing the resin composition and mixing it with water. The depolymerized product includes monomers, oligomers, and the like. At this time, the vaporizer 12 thermally decomposes the depolymerized product to vaporize the monomer, thereby improving the recovery rate of the monomer. The extrusion reactor 11 also hydrolyzes the resin contained in the resin composition, thereby accelerating the hydrolysis reaction.
[0021] As the extrusion reactor 11, for example, a twin-screw extruder can be used. Each cylinder block 11e of the extrusion reactor 11 can be heated by a heater and cooled by cooling water, chiller water, or the like. In addition, the raw material feeder 11a quantitatively supplies, for example, pulverized waste resin composition into the raw material hopper 11b. Furthermore, the raw material hopper 11b feeds the pulverized resin composition into the inside of the extrusion reactor 11. Meanwhile, the high-pressure water pump 11c supplies water from a predetermined cylinder block 11e to the inside of the extrusion reactor 11. At this time, since water can be quantitatively supplied even if the inside of the extrusion reactor 11 becomes high pressure, a diaphragm or plunger pump is used as the high-pressure water pump 11c. In addition, the water heater 11d is, for example, installed in a tubular furnace by processing the water pipe into a spiral shape in the middle of the high-pressure water pipe to heat the water pipe. Instead of the water heater 11d, high-temperature heat transfer oil may be used to heat water by a heat exchanger.
[0022] The extrusion reactor 11 and the vaporizer 12 are connected via a back pressure valve (pressure control valve) 13. This maintains the pressure inside the extrusion reactor 11, accelerating hydrolysis (depolymerization) of the resin contained in the resin composition.
[0023] The vaporizer 12 and the back pressure valve 13 are connected via a gas-liquid separator 14 that separates the monomer from the depolymerized product. This allows the configuration of the vaporizer 12 to be simplified, and allows a highly pure monomer to be recovered. The gas-liquid separator 14 is a tank that performs flash distillation on the reaction liquid under high pressure, with the gas components being discharged from the top and the liquid and solid components being discharged from the bottom. Here, examples of the gas components include monomers, water, etc. Examples of the liquid components include oligomers, etc. Examples of the solid components include fibers, etc.
[0024] The vaporizer 12 thermally decomposes the depolymerized product (oligomers, etc.) discharged from the lower side of the gas-liquid separator 14 to vaporize the monomer. For example, a twin-screw extruder can be used as the vaporizer 12. Each cylinder block 12a of the vaporizer 12 can be heated by a heater and cooled by cooling water, chiller water, etc. Here, a vent 12b is provided in a predetermined cylinder block 12a of the vaporizer 12, and the vaporized gas components are discharged. Here, examples of the gas components include monomers, water vapor, carbon dioxide gas, etc. In addition, an outlet is provided in the cylinder block 12a on the most downstream side of the vaporizer 12, and the liquid components and solid components remaining without being vaporized are discharged.
[0025] The vaporizer 12 has a conveyor for transporting the depolymerized product, so that the depolymerized product is continuously thermally decomposed. In addition, since a screw conveyor is used as the conveyor, the depolymerized product is heated uniformly and the depolymerized product adhering to the fibers is separated from the fibers.
[0026] The vaporizer 12 may be heated using a constant temperature bath.
[0027] The resin composition recycling apparatus 10 further includes a condenser 15 that condenses the monomer vaporized in the vaporizer 12 and the monomer separated in the gas-liquid separator 14. This allows a common condenser to condense the monomer vaporized in the vaporizer 12 and the monomer separated in the gas-liquid separator 14, thereby simplifying and miniaturizing the configuration of the resin composition recycling apparatus 10. The condenser 15 cools the gas components, and small amounts of water vapor, air, etc. are discharged from the top, and monomer, water, etc. are discharged from the bottom.
[0028] The resin composition recycling device 10 further includes a pressure reducing section 16 that reduces the pressure inside the vaporizer 12 and the gas-liquid separator 14. This allows the monomer to be smoothly vaporized in the vaporizer 12 and the gas-liquid separator 14, making it easier to separate and recover the monomer. Also, compared to vaporizing the monomer in the atmosphere, the oxidation reaction of the monomer is reduced. The pressure reducing section 16 is, for example, a vacuum pump, and evacuates the inside of the vaporizer 12 and the gas-liquid separator 14 to create a negative pressure. At this time, since the gas contains water vapor, a water ring pump is used as the vacuum pump.
[0029] Next, a method for recycling fiber reinforced resin using the resin composition recycling apparatus 10 will be described. Here, as an example, a case will be described in which the fiber and resin constituting the fiber reinforced resin are glass fiber and polyamide 6, respectively.
[0030] The pulverized fiber-reinforced resin, quantitatively supplied from the raw material feeder 11a, is fed into the extrusion reactor 11 via the raw material hopper 11b. Meanwhile, water heated by the water heater 11d is supplied into the extrusion reactor 11 by the high-pressure water pump 11c. At this time, the mass ratio of water to the fiber-reinforced resin is not particularly limited, but is, for example, 2 to 10. In addition, the temperature of the water is lower than the saturation temperature of water calculated from the internal pressure of the extrusion reactor 11.
[0031] The polyamide 6 contained in the fiber reinforced resin introduced into the extrusion reactor 11 is thermally melted in the cylinder block 11e until the water of the extrusion reactor 11 is supplied. At this time, in order to seal the cylinder block 11e of the extrusion reactor 11 until the water is supplied with the thermally melted polyamide 6, it is necessary to maintain the viscosity of the thermally melted polyamide 6 high. For this reason, the temperature of the cylinder block 11e during the period from when the pulverized fiber reinforced resin of the extrusion reactor 11 is introduced until the water is supplied is set to a temperature that is 10°C to 20°C lower than the melting point of the polyamide 6.
[0032] Polyamide 6 is hydrolyzed in the cylinder block 11e after the water is supplied to the extrusion reactor 11. At this time, the reaction temperature of the hydrolysis reaction of polyamide 6 is 320°C or more and 360°C or less, and the higher the reaction temperature, the shorter the reaction time. At this time, the pressure inside the extrusion reactor 11 is controlled to be 0.5 MPa or more and 1 MPa or less higher than the steam saturation pressure of water at the temperature inside the extrusion reactor 11. The steam saturation pressure of water at 320°C is 11.3 MPa, and the steam saturation pressure of water at 360°C is 18.7 MPa.
[0033] The time that the fiber-reinforced resin remains in the cylinder block 11e after the water of the extrusion reactor 11 is supplied is the reaction time. Since the reaction time is determined by the amount of fiber-reinforced resin supplied, the density of polyamide 6 and water during the hydrolysis reaction, and the internal volume of the extrusion reactor 11, it is necessary to set the amount of fiber-reinforced resin supplied according to the specifications of the extrusion reactor 11. The reaction time required for the polyamide 6 to be almost hydrolyzed is about 40 minutes at 320°C and about 15 minutes at 360°C.
[0034] When the reaction liquid in a high pressure state is released from the back pressure valve 13 into the gas-liquid separator 14 under reduced pressure, gas components are discharged from the top and liquid and solid components are discharged from the bottom by flash distillation. Here, examples of the gas components include ε-caprolactam and water. Examples of the liquid components include oligomers derived from polyamide 6 whose molecular weight has been reduced to 2000 or less. Examples of the solid components include glass fiber.
[0035] The gas components discharged from the upper side of the gas-liquid separator 14 are condensed in the condenser 15 and recovered as an aqueous caprolactam solution.
[0036] Meanwhile, the liquid and solid components discharged from the lower side of gas-liquid separator 14 are heated to a temperature of 400° C. or higher and 450° C. or lower inside vaporizer 12, whereby oligomers are thermally decomposed to generate gas components such as ε-caprolactam, water, and carbon dioxide. The generated gas components are condensed in condenser 15 and recovered as an aqueous caprolactam solution. Meanwhile, the liquid and solid components remaining inside vaporizer 12 without being vaporized are discharged from the outlet of vaporizer 12.
[0037] FIG. 2 shows a modified example of the recycling device 10 for a resin composition.
[0038] The resin composition recycling apparatus 20 has the same configuration as the resin composition recycling apparatus 10, except that a gas-liquid separator 21 and a distiller 22 are provided instead of the condenser 15.
[0039] Next, a method for recycling fiber reinforced resin containing a resin composed of a plurality of monomers will be described using the resin composition recycling device 20. Here, as an example, a case will be described in which the fiber and resin constituting the fiber reinforced resin are glass fiber and PET, respectively.
[0040] Pulverized fiber-reinforced resin quantitatively supplied from raw material feeder 11a is fed into extrusion reactor 11 via raw material hopper 11b. Meanwhile, water heated by water heater 11d is supplied into extrusion reactor 11 by high-pressure water pump 11c. At this time, the mass ratio of water to fiber-reinforced resin is not particularly limited, but is, for example, 9 or more and 10 or less. In addition, the temperature of the water is lower than the saturation temperature of water calculated from the internal pressure of extrusion reactor 11.
[0041] The PET contained in the fiber reinforced resin fed into the extrusion reactor 11 is thermally melted in the cylinder block 11e until the water of the extrusion reactor 11 is supplied. At this time, in order to seal the cylinder block 11e with the thermally melted PET from the time the crushed fiber reinforced resin is fed into the extrusion reactor 11 until the water is supplied, it is necessary to maintain the viscosity of the thermally melted PET high. For this reason, the temperature of the cylinder block 11e until the water is supplied is set to a temperature that is 10°C to 20°C lower than the melting point of PET.
[0042] PET is hydrolyzed in the cylinder block 11e after the water is supplied to the extrusion reactor 11. At this time, the reaction temperature of the hydrolysis reaction of PET is 250°C or more and 300°C or less, and the higher the reaction temperature, the shorter the reaction time. At this time, the pressure inside the extrusion reactor 11 is controlled to be 0.5 MPa or more and 1 MPa or less higher than the steam saturation pressure of water at the temperature inside the extrusion reactor 11. The steam saturation pressure of water at 250°C is 8.6 MPa, and the steam saturation pressure of water at 300°C is 16.5 MPa.
[0043] The time that the fiber reinforced resin remains in the cylinder block 11e after the water of the extrusion reactor 11 is supplied is the reaction time. Since the reaction time is determined by the amount of fiber reinforced resin supplied, the density of PET and water during the hydrolysis reaction, and the internal volume of the extrusion reactor 11, it is necessary to set the amount of fiber reinforced resin supplied according to the specifications of the extrusion reactor 11. The reaction time required for the PET to be almost hydrolyzed is about 60 minutes at 250°C and about 10 minutes at 300°C.
[0044] When the reaction liquid in a high pressure state is released from the back pressure valve 13 into the gas-liquid separator 14 under reduced pressure, gas components are discharged from the top and liquid and solid components are discharged from the bottom by flash distillation. Here, examples of the gas components include terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, water, etc. Furthermore, examples of the liquid components include oligomers derived from PET whose molecular weight has been reduced to 2000 or less. Furthermore, examples of the solid components include glass fiber, etc.
[0045] Of the gas components discharged from the upper side of gas-liquid separator 14, terephthalic acid, which has a high melting point, solidifies inside gas-liquid separator 21 and is recovered from the lower side of gas-liquid separator 21. On the other hand, the gas components that do not solidify inside gas-liquid separator 21 are discharged from the right side of gas-liquid separator 21 and then distilled in distiller 22. As a result, of the gas components, ethylene glycol, which has a high boiling point, condenses inside distiller 22 and is recovered from the lower side of distiller 22. On the other hand, the gas components that do not condense inside distiller 22 are discharged from the upper side of distiller 22.
[0046] Meanwhile, the liquid and solid components discharged from the lower side of the gas-liquid separator 14 are heated to a temperature of about 400° C. inside the vaporizer 12, whereby the oligomers are thermally decomposed to generate gas components such as terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, water, and carbon dioxide. Among the generated gas components, terephthalic acid having a high melting point is solidified inside the gas-liquid separator 21 and is recovered from the lower side of the gas-liquid separator 21. Meanwhile, the gas components that have not solidified inside the gas-liquid separator 21 are discharged from the right side of the gas-liquid separator 21 and then distilled in the distiller 22. As a result, among the gas components, ethylene glycol having a high boiling point is condensed inside the distiller 22 and is recovered from the lower side of the distiller 22. Meanwhile, the gas components that have not condensed inside the distiller 22 are discharged from the upper side of the distiller 22.
[0047] On the other hand, the liquid and solid components remaining inside the vaporizer 12 without being vaporized are discharged from the exhaust port of the vaporizer 12 .
[0048] Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and the above embodiment may be modified as appropriate within the scope of the spirit of the present invention. [Explanation of symbols]
