Abstract
To provide a lug folding device and a lug folding method that can increase degrees of freedom of facility layout.SOLUTION: A lub folding device folds a lug of an end face coating part which is a part of folding paper packaging a metal belt coil and a part covering an axial end face of the metal belt coil, and comprises: a robot part which folds the lug of the end face coating part; a relative position detection part which detects relative position information associated with relative positions of the robot part and metal belt coil; and a control part which controls the robot part on the basis of, the relative position information detected by the relative position detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
