[0030] The following description, with reference to the attached drawings, is provided to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of various embodiments of the present invention as defined by the claims and their equivalents. While it includes numerous specific details to aid understanding, these should be considered merely exemplary. Accordingly, those skilled in the art will recognize that various changes and modifications can be made to the various embodiments described herein without departing from the scope and spirit of the present disclosure. Furthermore, descriptions of well-known functions and configurations may be omitted for clarity and brevity.

[0031] The terms and words used in the following description and claims are not limited to their literary meanings and are used solely by the inventors to ensure a clear and consistent understanding of the disclosure. Therefore, it will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that the following description of various embodiments is provided for illustrative purposes only and is not intended to limit the invention as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.

[0032] Singular forms such as "a," "an," and "the" may be understood to include plural entities unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. Thus, for example, reference to "a component surface" includes one or more of those surfaces.

[0033] To monitor the temperature of the flash LED, a thermistor can be placed around the flash LED. Once the temperature of the flash LED is monitored, research into a means of controlling it may be required.

[0070] According to one embodiment, the first housing (210) and / or the second housing (220) may form at least a portion of the exterior of the electronic device (101). According to one embodiment, the surface on which the display (230) is visually exposed may be defined as a front surface (e.g., a first front surface (210a) and a second front surface (220a)) of the electronic device (101) and / or the housing (202). The surface opposite the front surface may be defined as a back surface (e.g., a first back surface (210b) and a second back surface (220b)) of the electronic device (101). The surface surrounding at least a portion of the space between the front surface and the back surface may be defined as a side surface (e.g., a first side surface (210c) and a second side surface (220c)) of the electronic device (101).

[0071] According to one embodiment, the first housing (210) may be rotatably connected to the second housing (220) using a hinge structure. For example, the first housing (210) and the second housing (220) may each be rotatably connected to the hinge structure. Accordingly, the electronic device (101) may be variable in a folded state (e.g., FIG. 3) or an unfolded state (e.g., FIG. 2). In the folded state, the first front surface (210a) may face the second front surface (220a), and in the unfolded state, the direction in which the first front surface (210a) faces may be substantially the same as the direction in which the second front surface (220a) faces. For example, in the unfolded state, the first front surface (210a) may be positioned substantially on the same plane as the second front surface (220a). In one embodiment, the second housing (220) may provide relative motion with respect to the first housing (210).

[0072] According to one embodiment, the first housing (210) and the second housing (220) are arranged on both sides with respect to the folding axis (A) as the center, and may have a shape that is overall symmetrical with respect to the folding axis (A). The angle between the first housing (210) and the second housing (220) may be changed depending on whether the state of the electronic device (101) is in an unfolded state, a folded state, or an intermediate state between the unfolded state and the folded state.

[0073] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a hinge cover (240). At least a portion of the hinge cover (240) may be disposed between the first housing (210) and the second housing (220). According to one embodiment, the hinge cover (240) may be covered by a portion of the first housing (210) and the second housing (220) or exposed to the outside of the electronic device (101) depending on the state of the electronic device (101). According to one embodiment, the hinge cover (240) may protect the hinge structure from external impact of the electronic device (101). According to one embodiment, the hinge cover (240) may be interpreted as a hinge housing for protecting the hinge structure.

[0074] According to one embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 2, when the electronic device (101) is in an unfolded state, the hinge cover (240) may be covered by the first housing (210) and the second housing (220) and may not be exposed. As another example, as illustrated in FIG. 3, when the electronic device (101) is in a folded state (e.g., a fully folded state), the hinge cover (240) may be exposed to the outside between the first housing (210) and the second housing (220). As another example, when the first housing (210) and the second housing (220) are in an intermediate state where they are folded at a certain angle, the hinge cover (240) may be partially exposed to the outside between the first housing (210) and the second housing (220). However, in this case, the exposed area may be less than in the fully folded state. In one embodiment, the hinge cover (240) may include a curved surface.

[0075] In one embodiment, the display (230) can visually provide information to an external party (e.g., a user) of the electronic device (101). The display (230) may include, for example, a holographic device or a projector and a control circuit for controlling the device. In one embodiment, the display (230) may include a touch sensor configured to detect a touch, or a pressure sensor configured to measure the strength of a force generated by the touch.

[0076] According to one embodiment, the display (230) may refer to a display in which at least a portion of the display can be transformed into a flat or curved surface. For example, the display (230) may be formed to be variable in response to the relative movement of the second housing (220) with respect to the first housing (210). According to one embodiment, the display (230) may include a folding area (233), a first display area (231) positioned on one side (e.g., upper (+Y direction)) of the folding area (233), and a second display area (232) positioned on the other side (e.g., lower (-Y direction)). According to one embodiment, the folding area (233) may be positioned above the hinge structure. For example, at least a portion of the folding area (233) may face the hinge structure. According to one embodiment, the first display area (231) may be disposed on the first housing (210), and the second display area (232) may be disposed on the second housing (220). According to one embodiment, the display (230) may be accommodated in the first housing (210) and the second housing (220).

[0077] However, the division of the areas of the display (230) illustrated in the above drawing 2 is exemplary, and the display (230) may be divided into multiple areas (for example, four or more or two) depending on the structure or function.

[0078] Also, in the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 2, the display (230) may be divided into regions by a folding region (233) extending parallel to the X-axis or a folding axis (A-axis), but in other embodiments, the display (230) may be divided into regions based on another folding region (e.g., a folding region parallel to the Y-axis) or another folding axis (e.g., a folding axis parallel to the Y-axis). According to one embodiment, the display (230) may be coupled to or disposed adjacent to a touch detection circuit, a pressure sensor capable of measuring the intensity (pressure) of a touch, and / or a digitizer configured to detect a magnetic field-type stylus pen.

[0079] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a rear display (234). The rear display (234) may be arranged to face a different direction than the display (230). For example, the display (230) may be visually exposed through the front side of the electronic device (101) (e.g., the first front side (210a) and / or the second front side (220a)), and the rear display (234) may be visually exposed through the rear side of the electronic device (101) (e.g., the first rear side (210b)).

[0080] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include at least one camera module (204, 206) and a flash (208). According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a front camera module (204) exposed through a front side (e.g., a first front side (210a)) and / or a rear camera module (206) exposed through a rear side (e.g., a first rear side (210b)). The camera modules (204, 206) may include one or more lenses, an image sensor, a flash, and / or an image signal processor. The flash (208) may include a light emitting diode or a xenon lamp. According to one embodiment, two or more lenses (infrared camera, wide-angle and telephoto lenses) and image sensors may be arranged on one side of the electronic device (101). The configuration of the front camera module (204) and / or the rear camera module (206) may be partially or completely identical to the configuration of the camera module (180) of FIG. 1.

[0081] Hereinafter, with reference to the embodiments of FIGS. 4 to 15, the structure of an electronic device including at least one light source and a heat dissipation sheet and the arrangement relationship between components will be described in detail.

[0082] FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of an electronic device including at least one light source and a heat dissipation sheet, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 4 may represent a cross-sectional view of an electronic device including a flash (208) and adjacent components in the electronic device (101) of FIGS. 2 and 3 .

[0083] Referring to FIG. 4 and the following examples, directional components ①, ②, and ③ are illustrated. Directional components ①, ②, and ③ are directional components that are orthogonal to each other, and may correspond to the coordinate axes Y, Z, and X of FIG. 2, respectively, but are not necessarily limited thereto. Directional components ①, ②, and ③ may also be interpreted as facing in directions different from the coordinate axes Y, Z, and X, depending on the embodiment. When a component is said to be arranged above another component, it may mean that a component is arranged above the other component on the directional component ②, and when a component is said to be arranged below the other component, it may mean that a component is arranged below the other component on the directional component ②. Meanwhile, it should be noted that even if a component is arranged above or below another component, it does not mean that the entire component is located above or below all components of the other component. Additionally, it should be noted that, for example, a portion of a component may be positioned above a portion of another component, while another portion of a component may be positioned below another portion of another component. It should be noted that, in the following description, when a component is said to overlap (or be stacked) with another component, the description of the height-wise arrangement relationship described above applies.

[0084] The electronic device (300) may include a cover (310).

[0085] The cover (310) may be an element defining the front surface (e.g., the first front surface (210a) and the second front surface (220a)) of the electronic device (101) and / or the housing (202) described above in FIGS. 2 and 3. Alternatively, the cover (310) may be an element defining the back surface (e.g., the first back surface (210b) and the second back surface (220b)) of the electronic device (101) and / or the housing (202) described above in FIGS. 2 and 3. According to various embodiments, the cover (310) may also be an element defining a side surface of the electronic device (101) and / or the housing (202). In the following description of various embodiments of the present disclosure, the cover (310) defining the back surface of the electronic device (101) may be described as an example with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4.

[0086] The cover (310) may be formed of a glass plate or a resin (or polymer) plate. The housing may include a substantially opaque plate in addition to the cover (310), but a detailed description thereof may be omitted. The glass plate may be a glass plate including various coating layers, for example, coated or colored glass. According to one embodiment, the glass plate may be window glass to protect the display from external physical / chemical impacts. The polymer plate may be a polymer plate that is at least partially transparent. The polymer plate may be formed of, for example, a material including a polycarbonate series, a polysulfone series, a polyacrylate series, a polystyrene series, a polyvinyl chloride series, a polyvinyl alcohol series, a polynorbornene series, or a polyester series.

[0087] If the cover (310) is formed transparently, internal components of the electronic device may be visually exposed to the outside, either in whole or in part. This may degrade the aesthetic appeal of the electronic device. Therefore, an anti-visibility sheet (380) may be formed on the back surface of the cover (310) to prevent the internal components of the electronic device from being visually exposed to the outside. The anti-visibility sheet (380) may be, for example, a masking film and / or masking tape, and may be coated with a coating material for anti-visibility or colored to prevent visibility.

[0088] The internal space (S) of the electronic device may be provided with various component(s) (360) and configuration(s) for supporting the components (e.g., at least one support member (hereinafter referred to as 'at least one bracket (320)')), and fastening member(s) (F) for fastening a component to another component.

[0089] The various components (360) arranged in the internal space (S) of the electronic device may be diverse, such as, for example, a processor (e.g., one or more of a central processing unit, an application processor, a graphic processing unit, an image signal processor, a sensor hub processor, or a communication processor), a memory, a power management module, a battery, a communication module, an audio module, a battery, and various sensors. The various components (360) may include a printed circuit board (e.g., a substrate (330)) on which various signal lines are wired. FIG. 4 illustrates at least one light source (350), a sensor (361), and an audio module (362) as examples of the various components (360). However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and other components may be added or omitted depending on the embodiment.

[0090] At least one bracket (320) may be disposed in the internal space (S) of the electronic device and connected to the housing and / or cover (310) of the electronic device (300), or may be formed integrally with the housing and / or cover (310). The at least one bracket (320) may be formed of, for example, a metallic material and / or a non-metallic (e.g., polymer) material. The at least one bracket (320) may include, for example, a first bracket (320-1), a second bracket (320-2), and a third bracket (320-3). According to one embodiment, the electronic device may omit at least one of the components (e.g., the second bracket (320-2) or the third bracket (320-3)) or may additionally include another component. A printed circuit board (330) may be placed on at least one side of at least one of the brackets (320), for example, the first bracket (320-1).

[0091] Referring to FIG. 4, an embodiment in which a plurality of components are arranged on a printed circuit board (330) is illustrated. As an example, a plurality of components, such as at least one light source (350) and a sensor (361), may be arranged on a first surface (330a) of the printed circuit board (330). A second surface (330b) of the printed circuit board (330) may be mounted on one surface of the first bracket (320-1). As another example, a lens structure (331) may be arranged on the printed circuit board (330). The lens structure (331) may include a lens that refracts light so that light emitted from at least one light source (350) passes through the lens structure (331) and propagates at a predetermined angle. For example, the lens structure (331) may include a Fresnel lens.

[0092] The electronic device (300) can emit light outside the electronic device (300) using at least one light source (350). For example, the electronic device can emit light from the at least one light source (350) for various purposes, such as using it as a flashlight in an emergency, or sending / receiving messages such as phone calls or text messages and / or displaying notifications such as alarms. The light emitted from the at least one light source (350) can propagate radially from the at least one light source (350) and then be bent at a specified angle while passing through the lens structure (331).

[0093] The cover (310) includes a light-transmitting portion (310c) for transmitting light emitted from at least one light source (350) to the outside, and the light-transmitting portion (310c) can be aligned so that its center is approximately aligned with the at least one light source (350). The light emitted from the at least one light source (350) is designed to spread through the light-transmitting portion (310c) at a predetermined angle of view (angle α in FIGS. 5 and 6). The light emitted from the at least one light source (350) also reaches the cover (310) around the light-transmitting portion (310c), but since the cover (310) around the light-transmitting portion (310c) is not transparent, light energy may be accumulated and the temperature of the cover (310) may rise.

[0094] In order to reduce the radiant energy accumulated in the cover (310) in this operation, the present disclosure may additionally provide a heat dissipation sheet (370) on the back (or lower) of the cover (310). The heat dissipation sheet (370) may be arranged to surround at least a portion of the light-transmitting portion (310c).

[0095] According to one embodiment, the light-transmitting portion (310c) of the cover (310) may include an opening (310d) that penetrates from the first side (310a) to the second side (310b) of the cover (310). In this case, the electronic device (300) may additionally be provided with a dustproof and / or waterproof structure that prevents foreign substances or moisture from entering from the outside through the opening (310d).

[0096] Hereinafter, the heat dissipation sheet (370) will be described in detail through the embodiments of FIGS. 5 and 6.

[0097] FIG. 5 is a drawing showing a heat dissipation sheet according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 6 is a drawing showing a heat dissipation sheet according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0098] Referring to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the heat dissipation sheet (370) may include a heat diffusion member (372) and a light reflecting member (373). The heat dissipation sheet (370) may be attached to the second surface (310b) of the cover (310). The heat dissipation sheet (370) may be attached to the second surface (310b) of the cover (310) using a first adhesive member (371). As described above, the second surface (310b) of the cover (310) may be provided with an anti-visibility sheet (380), and in this case, the heat dissipation sheet (370) may be disposed on the back surface (bottom) of the anti-visibility sheet (380). The heat dissipation sheet (370) may be a structure in which the first adhesive member (371), the heat diffusion member (372), and the light reflecting member (373) are laminated. For example, the heat dissipation sheet (370) may be attached to the cover (310) using a first adhesive member (371), and may have a structure in which a heat diffusion member (372) and a light reflecting member (373) are sequentially laminated on the first adhesive member (371). Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5 together, when the heat dissipation sheet (370) is placed on the back surface of the cover (310), the heat dissipation sheet (370) may have a structure in which at least one light source (350) is placed on a printed circuit board (330) and the light reflecting member (373) faces the first surface (330a) of the printed circuit board (330). In addition, the light reflecting member (373) is positioned at a position where light emitted from at least one light source (350) is obliquely incident on the light reflecting member (373), so that the light can be reflected in a direction away from the light transmitting portion (310c).

[0099] The first adhesive member (371) may serve to attach the heat diffusion member (372) to the back surface of the cover (310). The first adhesive member (371) may be, for example, an optically clear adhesive (OCA), an optically clear resin (OCR), and / or a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA).

[0100] The heat diffusion member (372) is a structure that is overlapped and / or laminated with the light reflecting member (373), and can reduce and / or prevent energy accumulated in the process of the light reflecting member (373) reflecting light from being concentrated at one point of the housing and / or cover (310), and can serve to spread the energy. The heat diffusion member may include a heat diffusion material. Various materials, for example, graphite, can be applied as the heat diffusion material. However, this is only one example, and it should be noted that the heat diffusion member (372) may additionally or alternatively include a high thermal conductivity material, such as a solid or liquid TIM (thermal interface material), graphite, carbon nanotubes, or silicon.

[0101] In one embodiment, the heat diffusion member (372) may additionally or alternatively include an insulating material. The insulating material may block energy accumulated during the process of the light reflecting member (373) reflecting light from reaching the housing and / or cover (310). Various materials, such as Poron, cork, magnesium powder, calcium silicate, perlite, aluminum foil, or porous refractory, may be used as the insulating material. However, the type of the insulating material is not limited and may vary depending on the embodiment. In one embodiment of the present disclosure, since the insulating material may additionally or alternatively be provided for the heat diffusion member, the heat diffusion member may also be referred to as a heat diffusion member and / or an insulating material.

[0102] The light reflecting member (373) is a configuration for reflecting light emitted from at least one light source (350), and may include, for example, at least one of a light reflecting film, a light reflecting tape, and a mirror. According to one embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 6, a second adhesive member (374) is provided between the heat diffusion member and the light reflecting member, so that at least one of the light reflecting film, the light reflecting tape, and the mirror can be firmly combined with the heat diffusion member (372). At this time, the material of the second adhesive member (374) may be the same as that of the first adhesive member (371). In addition to the above-described embodiments, the light reflecting member (373) may also be formed by applying a light reflecting material on the heat diffusion member.

[0103] According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, due to the laminated structure of the light reflecting member (373) and the heat diffusion member (372), radiant energy transmitted from at least one light source (350) can be spread. At this time, the efficiency of spreading radiant energy, i.e., the heat diffusion performance, may vary depending on the material and / or color of the light reflecting member (373) and the material and / or thickness of the heat diffusion member (372).

[0104] For example, when the light reflecting member (373) is composed of a film and the heat diffusion member (372) includes graphite of a certain thickness, the difference in heat diffusion performance according to the color of the light reflecting member (373) can be confirmed with reference to the following [Table 1]. As a comparative example of the difference in heat diffusion performance according to the color of the light reflecting member (373), an embodiment (Example 1) in which a heat dissipation sheet without a light reflecting member is applied and an embodiment (Example 5) in which a mirror is applied as the light reflecting member (373) are additionally disclosed. The difference in heat diffusion performance can be expressed as the result of measuring the temperature of the cover (310) at the position where the heat dissipation sheet (370) is placed, compared to measuring the temperature of the cover (310) in a state in which the heat dissipation sheet (370) is not provided.

[0105] Classification Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4 Example 5 Application of light reflecting and heat diffusion materials Graphite only Black color film and graphite applied Gray color film and graphite applied White color film and graphite applied Mirror and graphite applied Measurement temperature -2.5°C -1°C -4.5°C -6°C -6.5°C

[0106] Looking at the above [Table 1], even if graphite is applied as the heat diffusion member (372), when the light reflecting member (373) has a black color that absorbs heat, the temperature is lowered by -1 degree, when only graphite is applied as the heat diffusion member (372), the temperature is lowered by -2.5 degrees, when the light reflecting member (373) has a gray color, the temperature is lowered by -4.5 degrees, and when the light reflecting member (373) has a white color that reflects heat, the temperature can be lowered by -6 degrees. When the light reflecting member (373) is a mirror that is a material that completely reflects heat, it can be confirmed that the temperature is lowered by -6.5 degrees, which is the greatest decrease. Referring to the above Table 1, by appropriately adjusting the material and / or color of the light reflecting member (373) and the material and / or thickness of the heat diffusion member (372), the temperature of the cover (310) at the location where the heat dissipation sheet (370) is placed can be significantly reduced. In the present disclosure, the LED heat generation problem described above in the background art can be effectively resolved by including a heat dissipation sheet (370) as referenced in FIGS. 4 to 6. Various embodiments related to the heat dissipation sheet (370) will be described in detail below.

[0107] FIG. 7 is a drawing illustrating a heat dissipation sheet wrapped around at least one light source according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 8 is a drawing illustrating a heat dissipation sheet wrapped around at least one light source according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 9 is a drawing illustrating a heat dissipation sheet wrapped around at least one light source according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0108] FIGS. 7 and 8 illustrate a view of components inside the electronic device when the cover of the rear side (210b) is removed in the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, and FIG. 9 illustrates a view of a second side of the cover. Referring to FIGS. 7 and 9, the heat dissipation sheet (370) may have a shape that completely surrounds at least one light source (350). Referring to FIG. 8, the heat dissipation sheet (370) may also have a shape that partially surrounds at least one light source (350).

[0109] The heat dissipation sheet (370) may include a first portion (370a) that at least partially surrounds a light-transmitting portion, and a second portion (370b) that extends from the first portion (370a). Referring to FIG. 7, when the first portion (370a) of the heat dissipation sheet (370) is viewed from above, it may appear to completely surround at least one light source (350). The second portion (370b) is a portion that extends to one side from the first portion (370a), and according to one embodiment, may have a larger area than the first portion (370a) of the heat dissipation sheet (370). According to one embodiment, the second portion (370b) may be positioned to face at least one bracket (e.g., the first bracket (320-1)). The heat dissipation sheet (370) can reduce and / or prevent heat from being concentrated around the light-transmitting portion by including the first portion (370a) and the second portion (370b) as described above. As will be described in detail below in the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 17, since the second portion (370b) is positioned so as to face at least one bracket (e.g., the first bracket (320-1)), the effect of heat dissipation toward the second portion (370b) can be achieved.

[0110] Referring to FIG. 8, when the first part (371) of the heat dissipation sheet (370) is viewed from above, it is depicted as if it surrounds only a portion of at least one light source (350) rather than the entirety of the light source (350). This may be because the heat dissipation sheet (370) is designed to have a predetermined tolerance without interfering with components arranged around at least one light source (350).

[0111] According to another embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 9, the heat dissipation sheet (370) may have a shape that surrounds only the light-transmitting portion (310c). In this case, the second portion (370b) facing at least one bracket (e.g., the first bracket (320-1)) of the heat dissipation sheet (370) may be omitted.

[0112] FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating an appearance of light emitted from at least one light source when it reaches a peripheral component, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 11 is a diagram illustrating an appearance of light emitted from at least one light source when it reaches a peripheral component, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0113] Referring to FIG. 10, light emitted from at least one light source (350) reaches components around the light-transmitting portion (310c), except for the light that passes through the light-transmitting portion (310c). As illustrated in FIG. 10, including a heat-dissipating sheet (370) can reflect the light that reaches the area around the light-transmitting portion (310c), thereby reducing and / or preventing heat from accumulating in the cover (310). The light reflected from the heat-dissipating sheet (370) can then reach the substrate (330) around the at least one light source (350). According to one embodiment, the substrate (330) can have a bright color. For example, the substrate (330) can have a white color. According to another example, the substrate (330) can have a bright gray color. The bright color applied to the substrate (330) may be various other than the above. The substrate (330) positioned adjacent to the cover (310) may be visible through the cover (310) when viewed from the outside of the cover (310), even if the second side (310b) of the cover (310) has an anti-visibility sheet (380). However, since the substrate (330) has a white color, even if a portion of the substrate (330) is visible, the overall aesthetics of the electronic device may not be degraded. At this time, light reaching the first side (330a) of the substrate (330) may be reflected and reach the heat-radiating sheet (370). The light reaching the heat-radiating sheet (370) may be re-reflected and reach the substrate (330). The light reaching the substrate (330) may be reflected again and partially absorbed by the anti-visibility sheet (380). By having a structure in which light is reflected several times around the light transmitting portion (310c) in this way, the heat can be dispersed rather than concentrated in a certain area of the cover (310).

[0114] Referring to FIG. 11, light emitted from at least one light source (350) reaches components around the light-transmitting portion (310c) except for the light passing through the light-transmitting portion (310c). Light reflected from the heat-dissipating sheet (370) may again reach the substrate (330) around the at least one light source (350). According to one embodiment, the substrate (330) may have a dark color. For example, the substrate (330) may have a black color. According to another example, the substrate (330) may have a dark gray color. The dark color applied to the substrate (330) may also be various.
