[0023] The sealing material is thermally hardened due to, for example, the heat of the hydraulic oil. When the sealing material is thermally hardened and reaches the end of its life, deteriorating its sealing performance, there is a possibility that hydraulic oil may leak from the hydraulic equipment. In order to prevent hydraulic oil from leaking from the hydraulic equipment, it is necessary to replace the sealing material before it reaches the end of its life. On the other hand, if the sealing material is replaced when there is still some life left in the sealing material, replacement costs may be incurred and the replacement work may reduce the availability of the work machine 2. There is a demand for technology to predict the life of the sealing material provided in the hydraulic equipment of the work machine 2 so that the sealing material provided in the hydraulic equipment of the work machine 2 can be replaced at the appropriate time. By predicting the life of the sealing material, it is possible to replace the sealing material at the appropriate time.

[0024] In the embodiment, the management system 1 includes a life prediction system for a seal material provided in a hydraulic device. The management system 1 predicts the life of the seal material based on the hydraulic oil temperature. In the embodiment, the server 3 predicts the life of the seal material based on the hydraulic oil temperature detected by the temperature sensor 15.

[0025] The consumed life of the sealing material may be expressed as consumed life hours or consumed life percentage. If the consumed life of the sealing material is expressed as consumed life hours, the sealing material is determined to have reached the end of its life when the consumed life hours exceed a predetermined life time. If the consumed life of the sealing material is expressed as consumed life percentage, the sealing material is determined to have reached the end of its life when the consumed life percentage exceeds a predetermined life percentage.

[0026] In an embodiment, the management system 1 predicts the life of the seals provided in the hydraulic equipment of a first work machine 2 based on the hydraulic oil temperature of the hydraulic equipment of the first work machine 2 and the operating state of the first work machine 2, and the hydraulic oil temperature of the hydraulic equipment of a second work machine 2 that is different from the first work machine 2 and the operating state of the second work machine 2. In other words, the management system 1 predicts the life of the seals provided in the hydraulic equipment of the first work machine 2 based on the hydraulic oil temperature of the hydraulic equipment of the first work machine 2 and the operating state of the first work machine 2, and the hydraulic oil temperature of the hydraulic equipment of the second work machine 2 and the operating state of the second work machine 2.

[0027] In the following description, the first work machine 2 having a sealing material whose lifespan is predicted will be referred to as the first work machine 2A, and the second work machine 2 different from the first work machine 2A will be referred to as the second work machine 2B. Furthermore, the hydraulic equipment of the first work machine 2A will be referred to as the first hydraulic equipment, and the sealing material provided on the first hydraulic equipment will be referred to as the first sealing material. The hydraulic equipment of the second work machine 2B will be referred to as the second hydraulic equipment, and the sealing material provided on the second hydraulic equipment will be referred to as the second sealing material.

[0028] The first sealant of the first work machine 2A is the sealant whose lifespan is to be predicted. The second sealant of the second work machine 2B is the sealant after it has actually reached the end of its lifespan. In predicting the lifespan of the first sealant, the actual lifespan that indicates the actual lifespan of the second sealant is known data. The hydraulic oil temperature of the second hydraulic device is detected by a temperature sensor 15 provided on the second work machine 2B. The operating state of the second work machine 2B is detected by an operating state detection unit 16 provided on the second work machine 2B. In predicting the lifespan of the first sealant, the hydraulic oil temperature of the second hydraulic device is known data, and the operating state of the second work machine 2B is known data. In the following description, the hydraulic oil temperature of the second hydraulic device will be referred to as the hydraulic oil temperature history, and the operating state of the second work machine 2B will be referred to as the operating history, as appropriate.

[0029] The number of second work machines 2B may be one or more. In this embodiment, the number of second work machines 2B is assumed to be multiple.

[0030] [Lifespan Prediction System] Figure 3 is a functional block diagram showing a management system 1 for a work machine 2 according to an embodiment. As shown in Figure 3, an output device 20 is connected to a server 3. The output device 20 outputs output data. Examples of the output device 20 include a display device or an audio output device. The display device includes a flat panel display such as a liquid crystal display or an organic EL display. The display device outputs display data. The audio output device outputs audio data.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 3 , each of the first work machine 2A and the second work machine 2B has a controller 4 , a temperature sensor 15 , and an operating state detection unit 16 .

[0032] The hydraulic oil temperature of the first hydraulic device detected by the temperature sensor 15 of the first work machine 2A is transmitted to the server 3 via the communication system 5. First operation data indicating the operating state of the first work machine 2A detected by the operating state detection unit 16 of the first work machine 2A is transmitted to the server 3 via the communication system 5.

[0033] The hydraulic oil temperature (hydraulic oil temperature history) of the second hydraulic equipment detected by the temperature sensor 15 of the second work machine 2B is transmitted to the server 3 via the communication system 5. Second operation data indicating the operating state (operation history) of the second work machine 2B detected by the operating state detection unit 16 of the second work machine 2B is transmitted to the server 3 via the communication system 5.

[0034] The server 3 includes a computer system. The server 3 has at least one processor and a main memory that stores computer programs executed by the processor. The server 3 has a lifespan prediction unit 30 and a correction coefficient calculation unit 40. The lifespan prediction unit 30 predicts the lifespan of the first sealant based on the hydraulic oil temperature of the first hydraulic device and the operating state of the first work machine 2A, and a correction coefficient calculated based on the hydraulic oil temperature history of the second hydraulic device and the operating history of the second work machine 2B. The correction coefficient calculation unit 40 calculates the correction coefficient based on the hydraulic oil temperature history of the second hydraulic device and the operating history of the second work machine 2B.

[0035] The life prediction unit 30 includes an operation data acquisition unit 31 , a calculated life calculation unit 32 , a corrected life calculation unit 33 , a correction coefficient storage unit 34 , a life threshold storage unit 35 , a comparison unit 36 , and a notification unit 37 .

[0036] The operation data acquisition unit 31 acquires the hydraulic oil temperature of the first hydraulic device and the operation state of the first work machine 2A transmitted from the controller 4 of the first work machine 2A.

[0037] The calculated life calculation unit 32 calculates a calculated life of the first seal provided in the first hydraulic device based on the hydraulic oil temperature of the first hydraulic device. The calculated life calculation unit 32 calculates the calculated life based on statistics of the hydraulic oil temperature of the first hydraulic device and an Arrhenius plot for the first seal.

[0038] 4 is a diagram for explaining a method for calculating a calculated lifespan according to an embodiment. The calculated lifespan calculation unit 32 generates a hydraulic oil temperature histogram as statistical values of hydraulic oil temperatures based on detection data from the temperature sensor 15 of the first work machine 2A. The hydraulic oil temperature histogram shows the relationship between a plurality of hydraulic oil temperatures (hydraulic oil temperature ranges) and the time that each hydraulic oil temperature has continued. In addition, an Arrhenius plot for the sealing material is created in advance. The calculated lifespan calculation unit 32 generates an approximation line for the Arrhenius plot.

[0039] p n indicates the cumulative usage time of the sealing material in the nth hydraulic oil temperature range. 3 and the cumulative use time p in the fourth hydraulic oil temperature range. 4 and are shown. n indicates the estimated life time of the seal material in the nth hydraulic oil temperature range. 3 and the estimated life time q in the fourth hydraulic oil temperature range 4 The following is illustrated.

[0040] r n indicates the calculated life consumption rate of the seal material in the hydraulic oil temperature zone n. In the example shown in FIG. 4, the calculated life consumption rate r n The cumulative operating time p of each of the plurality of hydraulic oil temperature ranges is calculated. n o p 1 , p 2 , ...p 12 and the estimated life time q of each of the multiple hydraulic oil temperature ranges n q 1 , q 2 , …q 12 and the calculated life consumption rate r for each of the multiple hydraulic oil temperature ranges n r1 , r 2 , ...r 12 In this case, the following equation (1) holds:

[0041]

[0042] The total calculated life consumption rate of the sealing material calculated by the calculated life calculation unit 32 is expressed by the following formula (2): The time when the total calculated life consumption rate calculated by formula (2) reaches 100% is defined as the calculated life of the sealing material.

[0043]

[0044] The corrected life calculation unit 33 calculates the corrected life by correcting the calculated life of the first seal material expressed by equation (2) with a correction coefficient. In the embodiment, the life of the first seal material is the corrected life calculated by the corrected life calculation unit 33.

[0045] The calculated lifespan and the actual lifespan (actual lifespan) of the sealing material (first sealing material) may not match. The following first, second, and third factors are considered to be factors that cause the calculated lifespan and the actual lifespan of the sealing material to not match.

[0046] 5 is a diagram illustrating the relationship between the hydraulic oil temperature and the sealant temperature according to the embodiment. The first factor is that the temperature sensor 15 directly detects the hydraulic oil temperature but does not directly detect the sealant temperature. Therefore, a difference may occur between the hydraulic oil temperature and the sealant temperature at the detection position of the temperature sensor 15, or a difference may occur between the rate of change in the hydraulic oil temperature and the rate of change in the sealant temperature, as shown in FIG. 5.

[0047] The second factor is that when the flow state of hydraulic oil in a hydraulic device changes between lever-on and lever-off, there is a possibility that a difference will occur between the rate of change in the hydraulic oil temperature and the rate of change in the seal material temperature, as shown in Figure 5.

[0048] A third factor is that the temperature sensor 15 detects the hydraulic oil temperature when the engine is on (key on), but does not detect the hydraulic oil temperature when the engine is off (key off). That is, although the hydraulic oil temperature is not detected when the engine is off, for example, immediately after the transition from engine on to engine off, the seal continues to be in contact with high-temperature hydraulic oil, which may cause the seal to thermally harden.

[0049] In the embodiment, the discrepancy between the calculated lifespan and the actual lifespan of the sealing material due to the above-mentioned factors is resolved by using a correction coefficient. The corrected lifespan calculation unit 33 can calculate a corrected lifespan that is closer to the actual lifespan by correcting the calculated lifespan with the correction coefficient.

[0050] The correction coefficient will be described below. In this embodiment, the correction coefficient is calculated by the correction coefficient calculation unit 40. The correction coefficient calculation unit 40 calculates the correction coefficient based on the hydraulic oil temperature history of the second hydraulic equipment of the second work machine 2B and the operation history of the second work machine 2B. The correction coefficient storage unit 34 stores the correction coefficient calculated by the correction coefficient calculation unit 40. The corrected life calculation unit 33 corrects the calculated life using the correction coefficient stored in the correction coefficient storage unit 34.

[0051] The calculation of the correction coefficient uses the hydraulic oil temperature of the second hydraulic device and the operation history of the second work machine 2B. The controller 4 or server 3 of the second work machine 2B holds actual lifespan data indicating the actual lifespan of the second sealant. In this embodiment, the calculated lifespan of the second sealant provided on the second work machine 2B, which is used to calculate the correction coefficient, is calculated in the same way as the calculated lifespan of the first work machine 2A. That is, the correction coefficient calculation unit 40 calculates the calculated lifespan of the second sealant based on statistical values of the hydraulic oil temperature history of the second hydraulic device and an Arrhenius plot for the second sealant. In this embodiment, the first operation data indicating the operating state of the first work machine 2A and the second operation data indicating the operation history of the second work machine 2B, which is used to calculate the correction coefficient, each contain a value a indicating the operating status. n and a value b indicating the operation frequency n Includes the value a indicating the operating status ncontains a value for steady operation. Value b indicating the operation frequency n includes the frequency with which the content of operations changes.

[0052] Value a indicating the operating status n and the actual operating time a per day of the work machine 2 (the first work machine 2A and the second work machine 2B) 1 , the fuel consumption a of the work machine 2 2 , the excavation time a during which the work machine 2 excavates the excavation target with the work implement 3 , and the travel time a 4 is exemplified.

[0053] Value b indicating the operation frequency n as the number of times the engine 13 of the work machine 2 (the first work machine 2A and the second work machine 2B) is turned on, b 1 , the number of times the engine 13 of the work machine 2 is turned off b 2 , the time interval b from turning on to turning off the engine 13 of the work machine 2 3 , the time interval b from when the engine 13 of the work machine 2 is turned off to when it is turned on 4 , the number of times the lever 14 of the work machine 2 is turned on b 5 , the number of times the lever 14 of the work machine 2 is turned off b 6 , the time interval b from the ON to the OFF of the lever 14 of the work machine 2 7 , the time interval b from the OFF to ON of the lever 14 of the work machine 2 8 , and a lever output value b indicating the amount of operation of the lever 14 of the work machine 2 9 is exemplified.

[0054] First correction coefficient α n is expressed by the following equation (3): n is expressed by the following equation (4): In equation (3), C1 n is a constant, and A is a constant. In equation (4), C2 n , C3 n is a constant.

[0055]

[0056]

[0057] FIG. 6 shows the actual measured value y of the life of the sealing material according to the embodiment. iand the calculated value x i 6 is a graph showing the relationship between the actual measured values y of the sealant lifespans of the first to tenth second working machines 2B. i and the calculated value x i As an example, the actual measurement value y 1 is the actual measured value y for the first machine of the second work machine 2B. i and the calculated value x 1 is the calculated value x for the first machine of the second work machine 2B i The actual measured value y 2 is the actual measured value y for the second machine of the second work machine 2B. i and the calculated value x 2 is the calculated value x for the second machine of the second work machine 2B i is.

[0058] Actual measured value of sealant life y i is the actual time from when a new (good) seal is installed in a hydraulic device until it reaches the end of its life. i is the calculated time from when a new seal is installed in a hydraulic device to when it reaches the end of its life calculated based on the above-mentioned calculated life. i may be considered as the actual lifespan. The calculated seal lifespan x i The first, second, and third factors described above may be considered as the calculated life. As shown in FIG. 6, the actual measured value y i (Actual life) and calculated value x i (Calculated lifespan) does not match.

[0059] In the embodiment, the correction coefficient calculation unit 40 calculates the actual measured value y of the sealant life. i and the calculated value x i The correction coefficient calculation unit 40 calculates a correction coefficient α based on the difference between the first correction coefficient α and the second correction coefficient α so that the following equation (5) is minimized: n Constant C1 for n The correction coefficient calculation unit 40 determines the second correction coefficient β so that the following equation (5) is minimized: n Constant C2 for n and constant C3n The following is established.

[0060]

[0061] FIG. 7 shows the first correction coefficient α according to the embodiment. n and the value a indicating the operating status n 8 is a graph showing the relationship between the second correction coefficient β according to the embodiment. n and the value b indicating the operating frequency n FIG.

[0062] As shown in FIG. 7, the constant C1 n By defining the value a indicating the operating status, n Based on this, the first correction coefficient α n Each of the points shown in FIG. 7 is a value a n There is a value (a 1 , a 2 , a 3 , ...) when y i =x i ×α n That is, the calculated value of the sealant life after correction (corrected life) is a value that matches the actually measured value of the sealant life (actual life).

[0063] As shown in FIG. 8, the constant C2 n and constant C3 n By defining the value b n Based on this, the second correction coefficient β n Each of the points shown in FIG. 8 is a value b n There is a value (b 1 , b 2 , b 3 , ...) when y i =x i ×β n That is, the calculated value of the sealant life after correction (corrected life) is a value that matches the actually measured value of the sealant life (actual life).

[0064] In this way, the correction coefficient calculation unit 40 calculates the calculated lifespan of the second sealing material provided in the second hydraulic equipment based on the hydraulic oil temperature history of the second hydraulic equipment, and calculates the correction coefficient based on the calculated lifespan of the second sealing material, the actual lifespan (actual lifespan) of the second sealing material, and the operating history of the second work machine 2B.

[0065] The correction coefficient has been described above. The corrected life calculation unit 33 calculates the corrected life by correcting the calculated life with the correction coefficient. The corrected life calculation unit 33 calculates the corrected life by correcting the calculated life with the first correction coefficient α n and the second correction coefficient β n The corrected life calculation unit 33 calculates the corrected life using one or both of the first correction coefficients α n Among these, one first correction coefficient α n Alternatively, a plurality of first correction coefficients α n The corrected life calculation unit 33 may use a plurality of second correction coefficients β n Among these, one second correction coefficient β n Alternatively, a plurality of second correction factors β n When the calculated life is La and the corrected life is Lb, the corrected life calculation unit 33 may calculate the corrected life Lb based on at least one of the following equations (6), (7), and (8):

[0066]

[0067]

[0068]

[0069] The comparator 36 compares the corrected life calculated by the corrected life calculation unit 33 with a predetermined life threshold value. The life threshold value is stored in advance in the life threshold value storage unit 35.

[0070] The notification unit 37 notifies the output device 20 of the comparison result of the comparison unit 36. If the corrected life exceeds the life threshold value, the notification unit 37 causes the output device 20 to output notification data recommending replacement of the sealing material.

[0071] [Lifespan Prediction Method] Figure 9 is a flowchart showing a lifespan prediction method for a sealing material according to an embodiment. In the example shown in Figure 9, the correction coefficient is calculated in advance based on the hydraulic oil temperature history of the second hydraulic device and the operation history of the second work machine 2B, and is stored in advance in the correction coefficient storage unit 34.

[0072] The operation data acquisition unit 31 acquires the hydraulic oil temperature of the first hydraulic device and the operation state of the first work machine 2A from the first work machine 2A (step S1).

[0073] The calculated life calculation unit 32 calculates the calculated life of the first sealant based on the statistical values of the hydraulic oil temperature of the first hydraulic device of the first working machine 2A and the Arrhenius plot for the first sealant (step S2).

[0074] The corrected life calculation unit 33 corrects the calculated life calculated in step S2 with the correction coefficient stored in the correction coefficient storage unit 34 to calculate a corrected life (step S3).

[0075] The comparison unit 36 determines whether the corrected life calculated in step S3 exceeds the life threshold stored in the life threshold storage unit 35 (step S4).

[0076] In step S4, if it is determined that the corrected life exceeds the life threshold value (step S4: Yes), the notification unit 37 causes the output device 20 to output notification data recommending replacement of the sealing material (step S5).

[0077] In step S4, if it is determined that the corrected life is equal to or less than the life threshold value (step S4: No), the process returns to step S1.

[0078] [Computer System] FIG. 10 is a block diagram showing a computer system 1000 according to an embodiment. Each of the server 3 and controller 4 described above includes a computer system 1000. The computer system 1000 includes a processor 1001 such as a central processing unit (CPU), a main memory 1002 including a nonvolatile memory such as a read-only memory (ROM) and a volatile memory such as a random access memory (RAM), a storage 1003, and an interface 1004 including an input / output circuit.
