Description

[0001] INNOVATION IN THE PRINTING AND PRODUCTION METHOD

[0002] OF DECORATIVE OBJECTS WITH MAGNETIC SURFACE

[0003] Technical Field

[0004] The present invention is related to large-scale, multiple and tonnage mass production method of products used for promotional, advertising, information, and decorative purposes in printing processes, combining objects or materials that physically create a magnetic field on the back surface with special prints and designs in desired sizes specific to the invention on the front surface and the innovation developed for this method.

[0005] The State-of-the-Art Technique

[0006] With technology changing day by day and conditions developing accordingly, decorative products used in the printing field for advertising and accessorizing are changing, subsequently becoming personalized, and sustainable method that allow for longer- term preservation of these products and alternative applications become of greater importance.

[0007] The main decorative products used in the field of printing for advertising and accessory objects are personalized design products, namely magnets, which have a magnet with a physical attraction field on the back side and any object on the front side. Magnets can be used decoratively. At the same time, various institutions, organizations, or companies can advertise through magnets in areas related to their business.

[0008] The magnet, which attracts some metals such as iron, nickel and cobalt with the magnetic field it creates, does not affect some metals such as copper and aluminum and non- metallic materials. The magnetic effect is concentrated at two opposite ends in the materials.

[0009] The poles of a magnet are the surfaces where lines of magnetism depart from a magnet and reconnect when returning to the magnet. The pole of a magnet is the area with the greatest magnetic field strength in a particular direction. Each pole faces either north or south. When a magnet is divided into two pieces, each piece will have a north pole and a south pole. These two ends are called the north and south poles of the magnet.

[0010] No matter how small the piece of magnet is, it will always have a north pole and a south pole. This situation affects the products used in various aspects depending on the attraction power.

[0011] Magnets are also layers or plates that allow adhesion to other surfaces, paper and similar printed products used to fulfill a function made for different purposes. These printed products can be attached to the other surface by many different methods.

[0012] Since the physical gravitational field of the magnet depends on the metals such as iron, cobalt and nickel that make up the magnet, it has ferromagnetic properties at room temperature. When used in magnets, due to this property, problems may occur on the front surface of the magnet, that is, in the printed area, mainly caused by magnetic forces. Therefore, the emphasis has been on using magnets with small and minimal magnetic fields rather than using larger ones.

[0013] Small-sized magnets, which are frequently used in the ordinary course of life, sometimes cause serious life-threatening situations. Children must be under constant supervision while playing with small-sized magnets, otherwise children may swallow the magnets. In general, the magnets used in the state of the art are too strong for children and pose a great danger if children swallow more than one. It may cause situations that require emergency surgery. In the production of large-sized magnets, serious difficulties arise due to both the problems arising from the magnetic attraction field of the magnets and the problems that occur when attaching the printed products on the front surface to the intermediate layer. Problems such as wrinkling, cracking, and the appearance of un- vented air bubbles on the printed products on the front surface are some of these. Although this situation has directed manufacturers towards small-sized magnets, it has brought about a search for solutions to these problems experienced in the production of large-sized magnets. The search for these solutions has accelerated with the increasing needs in areas such as marketing, advertising, and design architecture.

[0014] In the method developed with the invention, the mass production of the mentioned large size magnets with large scale designs that can be personalized according to the purpose will not only provide solutions to the existing problems, but also will open the door to a new production technique in the field of printing in line with today's technology. However, in a short time, decorative magnets in large sizes will be able to be mass produced in multiple quantities with a new applied method.

[0015] There are different methods of creating magnets and various alternatives to these methods. Print house (offset) printing is one of the most preferred alternatives for magnet printing. The cost of printing is very low because many products can be printed at the same time. It is the highest quality printing type to be preferred for magnet printing. It offers both economical and high-quality printing.

[0016] Another alternative that can be preferred for magnet printing is digital printing. It can be printed much faster than offset printing. Digital printing is generally used for urgent printing needs. Since the digital prints have a production possibility, its cost is also quite low. In digital printing, shapes and colors are more distinct. The cellophane coating used during the magnet printing process provides protective properties to the magnets. There are glossy, matte and cellophane types. Cellophane coating is generally used for those who want long-lasting and durable magnets. Magnet cuts are made as special cuts, standard cuts and straight cuts. Although generally each type of permanent magnet is made in different ways, each will involve a process of casting, pressing and sintering, compression bonding, injection molding, extrusion or calendaring. However, both types and varieties of production are only suitable for small-sized magnets, and problems continue to occur in large-sized magnets.

[0017] Similarly, objects placed on the front side of the magnets used in the state of the art as a result of pressure are deformed after a while, mostly due to the magnetic fields on the back surface.

[0018] Technical Problems That the Invention Aims to Solve

[0019] The present invention is related to innovation in the magnet production method, which provides solutions to the problems mentioned in the state of the art and allows production in large sizes.

[0020] The present invention, unlike known techniques, facilitates the production of large-sized magnets and aims to produce multiple series in high quantities at the same time.

[0021] The present invention eliminates problems such as wrinkling, cracking, and undischarged air bubbles that occur in printed products on the front surface of magnets. It aims to provide solutions to these problems.

[0022] The present invention, with its innovation in the production of large-sized magnets used as an alternative when small-sized magnets cannot be used, enables new areas of use for accessories, design objects, customizable adhesive or magnetic tables, promotion and advertising purposes.

[0023] The present invention enables the use of design objects, accessories, customizable adhesive or magnetic tables, promotional and advertising products on white appliances such as refrigerators. The present invention aims to provide an ideal solution to the dangers and health and safety problems that occur during the use of small-sized magnets in various areas.

[0024] The present invention aims to use a new technique in magnet manufacturing methods for longer periods of time for various purposes.

[0025] The present invention aims to provide a solution to the problems experienced in largesized magnet printing methods, to provide an alternative to small-sized magnets that lose their strength over time, and to allow longer use of advertising products and thus increase their lifespan.

[0026] The present invention aims to increase the variety of use and to ensure memorability by attracting attention with its large dimensions that can be specially designed according to preference.

[0027] The present invention brings a new perspective to the usage areas of products such as promotion, advertising, publicity and decoration with large sizes, and carries the functions of magnets such as decoration and advertising from traditional methods to conditions suitable for today's technology.

[0028] Another purpose of the present invention is to provide ideal conditions with minimum problems in large-sized magnet printing and to provide the opportunity to perform additional processes according to various decorative materials.

[0029] The present invention introduces a new production method in addition to the methods used in the known state of the art.
