Abstract
Description
[0001] AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT FOR CONTROLLED POWER SUPPLY
[0002] The present invention relates to electronic equipment that is resistant to high and / or low voltage fluctuations and continues to operate for a period of time determined by the manufacturer against power interruptions.
[0003] Electronic equipment must pass power tests successfully. Within the scope of this test, input voltage is applied as low voltage, high voltage or power interruption. There should be no loss of function in the equipment when applying all these voltage levels. When there is a power outage, the hold-up capacitor inside the equipment feeds the equipment to continue operating. The value of the hold-up capacitor to be used in the equipment is directly proportional to the power drawn by the equipment, its operating voltage and the time it will be exposed to a power outage. However, the value of hold-up capacitor is also high in equipment with high power needs. In order for the hold-up capacitor to hold the circuit longer, its energy must be high. For this, the hold-up capacitor voltage must be higher than the voltage at the circuit input.
[0004] In the patent document numbered US8659272B2 in the state of the art, It is mentioned that the user can make uninterrupted and continuous transitions between the "forward buck" (voltage reducer in forward mode) and "reverse boost" (voltage booster in reverse mode) operational modes and the "forward boost" and "reverse buck" operational modes. It is explained that in "Forward" mode, the first voltage of the boost is increased to the second voltage and the appropriate switching transitions are performed, and in the "reverse" mode, the second voltage is reduced to the first voltage, and that buck / boost operations can be performed reversibly by switching for each mode.
[0005] In the patent document numbered US9490663B1 in the state of the art, it is mentioned that the aim is to effectively implement "back-up power" capacitors and systems in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems by using simpler circuits and making them smarter. In the circuit developed within the scope of the patent document, it is mentioned that "Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor" (MOSFET) is used to detect and monitor the charge of the batteries. Additionally, it is mentioned that MOSFETs can be controlled and are put in an "open circuit" state when the charging or discharging current (or voltage) falls outside a predetermined threshold value range.
[0006] By means of an electronic architecture developed with the invention, it is ensured that electronic equipment is minimally affected by power fluctuations and the equipment continues to operate in the event of a power outage.
[0007] Another aim of the invention is to reduce the value of the hold-up capacitor in the equipment or to ensure that the equipment continues to operate for a longer time during a power outage by keeping the value of the capacitor constant.
