Abstract
Description
Signboard
[0001] The present invention relates to a signboard to be installed on a curb, and more particularly to a signboard having a sign portion made of a reflective material that can be attached and detached to the installation surface.
[0002] Signs include both standing signs and freestanding signs, and are used to display information such as public notices, construction guidance and warnings, and advertisements.
[0003] These methods of erecting or placing signs on roads occupy a large area, and therefore require measures to ensure public safety. For example, weights may be attached to prevent the signs from scattering in bad weather. Furthermore, when reflective material is directly attached with adhesive or painted, this is based solely on the idea of improving visibility, and other methods have not been taken into consideration.
[0004] As one measure to deal with such a situation, Patent Document 1 discloses a method in which reflective material is directly attached to the top of a curb with an adhesive or the like to warn pedestrians and the like of danger. Patent Document 1 also discloses a curb stud that is installed around the road to guide drivers' eyes and help clarify the road alignment, and is characterized by having a retroreflector and a transparent resin layer containing a phosphorescent pigment on the outer surface of the retroreflector.
[0005] However, while the curb studs disclosed therein can be easily attached to the curb with adhesive, the undercut portions of curbs come in a wide variety of shapes, making them difficult to attach with adhesive, and the places where they can be attached are limited to flat surfaces such as the top surface of the curb.Furthermore, if even a portion of the stud is damaged, the entire stud must be replaced, which is costly and presents issues that need to be considered.

[0007] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a signboard that can be attached to a curbstone with fewer restrictions and that allows for easy replacement of only the parts that are frequently damaged.
[0008] In order to solve the above problems, the inventors have intensively studied the structure of signboards and methods of attaching them to curbs, and have come up with the present invention.
[0009] In order to solve the above problems, a signboard according to one aspect of the present invention has a sign surface that displays required information using a reflective material, and includes a sign material having a first sheet-like rubber magnet layer adhered to the surface opposite to the sign surface, and a joining means for joining the sign material to at least one of the side surface and top surface including at least the cut-off portion of the curb, the joining means being a second sheet-like rubber magnet layer joined by an adhesive layer provided on at least one of the side surface and top surface including at least the cut-off portion of the curb, and a joining means for joining the sign material to the first sheet-like rubber magnet layer and the second sheet-like rubber magnet layer. The marking material has a columnar portion having a height approximately equal to the total height of the thicknesses thereof, a base portion formed integrally with the columnar portion, having an area larger than the columnar portion and a height approximately equal to the thickness of the adhesive layer, and a female screw provided on the columnar portion, the columnar portion being arranged in a through hole connecting the marking material and the second sheet-like rubber magnet layer, the base portion being embedded in the adhesive layer, a male screw that screws into the female screw of the first joining means, a second joining means having a through hole in a portion that is exposed and not screwed into the female screw, and a locking pin that is approximately E-shaped and has a central protrusion that passes through the through hole.
[0010] Furthermore, a signboard according to one embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that the thickness of the first sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer is 0.8 to 2.8 mm, the thickness of the second sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer is 3.0 to 5.0 mm, and the thickness of the adhesive layer is 0.8 to 1.0 mm.
[0011] Furthermore, a signboard according to one embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that the opposing surfaces of the first sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer and the second sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer have interlocking projections and recesses formed thereon.
[0012] The signboard according to the present invention can be arranged to fit the shape of at least one of the side surface, including at least the undercut portion, and the top surface of the curb, and displays predetermined information on the signboard. Since the signboard has a means for detachably joining the signboard surface, the signboard surface can be easily replaced, and the area occupied by the signboard itself in the road space can be reduced. The fact that the signboard surface can be replaced is also important in terms of being used in an environment where the signboard is easily damaged, such as a road curb.
[0013] In addition, in the signboard of the present invention, it is possible to provide the joining surface of the sheet-shaped rubber magnet that constitutes the joining means with irregularities that engage with each other, thereby preventing misalignment between the joining surfaces.
[0014] 3(b) is a cross-sectional front view of a sign material of the present invention; FIG. 3(a) is a plan view of a first connecting means 3; FIG. 3(b) is a cross-sectional front view of a second connecting means 4; FIG. 4(a) is a plan view of a second connecting means 4; FIG. 4(b) is a front view of a second connecting means 4;
[0015] Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of a signboard according to the present invention attached to the slope of a curb, and Fig. 2 is a detailed view of an example of a cross section of the signboard according to the present invention.
[0016] As shown in these figures, the marking material 1 is composed of a marking surface 1a and a first sheet-like rubber magnet layer 1b. The reflective material used for the marking surface 1a can be of various types, such as retroreflective, diffuse reflective, and specular reflective, and a retroreflective reflector, which is commonly used for road signs, is preferable.
[0017] Further, a second sheet-like rubber magnet layer 2, which is bonded to the surface of the curbstone 5 by an adhesive layer 2a, is used to bond the sign material 1 to the surface of the curbstone 5. The first and second sheet-like rubber magnet layers are made of rubber with magnetic powder dispersed in it, but a ferrite-based magnet is preferred as the material for the magnet from the standpoint of durability outdoors and cost.
[0018] Figure 3 shows an example of the first joining means 3 shown in Figures 1 and 2, with Figure 3(a) being a plan view and Figure 3(b) being a front cross-sectional view. Figure 4 shows an example of the second joining means 4 also shown in Figures 1 and 2, with Figure 4(a) being a plan view and Figure 4(b) being a front view.
[0019] The base 3b of the first joining means 3 is arranged so as to be embedded in the adhesive layer 2a as shown in Figure 2, and the columnar portion 3a is arranged in a through hole that connects the sign material 1, i.e., the sign surface 1a, the first sheet-like rubber magnet layer 1b, and the second sheet-like rubber magnet layer 2, and has a female screw 3c provided inside.
[0020] The second joining means 4 is provided with a male thread 4c that screws into the female thread 3c of the first joining means 3, and is arranged in a state where the exposed portion 4a and the flange portion 4b protrude from the marking surface portion 1a, as shown in Fig. 2. Here, an example in which the flange portion 4b is exposed is shown, but the flange portion 4b does not have to be exposed.
[0021] Fig. 5 is a plan view showing an example of an E-shaped locking pin 6 according to the present invention. Fig. 6 is a perspective view showing the E-shaped locking pin 6 inserted into the through-hole 4d of the second connecting means 4. As shown here, the horizontal area of the E-shaped pin 6 is larger than the horizontal area of the flange portion 4b of the second connecting means 4, so that the marking material 1 can be prevented from moving upward in the figure and coming off the surface of the curbstone 5.
[0022] Figure 7 is a perspective view showing the state in which engaging convex portions 1c and concave portions 2c are formed on the opposing surfaces of the first sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer 1b and the second sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer 2. When using rubber magnets, it is not difficult to create such convex and concave portions by hot pressing using a mold before the vulcanization process, and the engagement of the convex and concave portions can prevent misalignment between the first sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer 1b and the second sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer 2. In the present invention, sufficient magnetic bonding and adhesive strength can be ensured by setting the thickness of the first sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer 1b to 0.8 to 2.8 mm, the thickness of the second sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer 2 to 3.0 to 5.0 mm, and the thickness of the adhesive layer 2a to 0.8 to 1.0 mm.
[0023] Figure 8 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of the magnetized state of the first sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer 1a and the second sheet-shaped rubber magnet layer 2 according to the present invention. The arrows in the figure indicate the direction of the magnetic field lines. In the case of a sheet-shaped magnet, as shown here, the bonding by magnetic force can be strengthened by using multi-pole magnetization in which the magnetic poles in the thickness direction are alternated at regular intervals, with the north and south poles facing each other. In this case, it goes without saying that orienting the magnetic powder dispersed in the rubber in the thickness direction to impart anisotropy will strengthen the magnetic force more than isotropy.
[0024] As explained above, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a sign that can be attached to a curb, etc., and that has a replaceable sign surface. The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and it goes without saying that the present invention also includes design changes that do not deviate from the gist of the present invention, including various modifications and alterations that would be conceivable to a person skilled in the art.
