Described herein is a knob including: a hub, which can be connected so that it is angularly fixed in a seat open at the front of an electrical household appliance, with a rotatable control pin of the household appliance designed to control, according to its own angular position, at least one function of the household appliance; a grip, which is carried so that it is angularly fixed but can slide axially, against the action of elastic means, on a first end of the hub opposite to a second end thereof for connection with said pin; and means for selective axial connection of the grip to the hub designed to block the grip in a first axial position, in which the grip projects in cantilever fashion from the first end of the hub and is set, in use, at least partially on the outside of said seat, and in a second axial position, in which the grip is fitted on said hub and is, in use, retracted within said seat; between the grip and the hub there being defined a closed chamber having a variable volume that is a function of the axial position of the grip on the hub and there being provided sliding seal means for sealing said air-tight chamber, and a calibrated restriction for connecting the inside of said chamber with the external environment in such a way as to bring about a negative pressure in said chamber as a result of the movement of the grip towards the first axial position.

The invention relates to an operating mechanism and a switching apparatus using the same. The operating mechanism comprises a power apparatus and a transmission mechanism, wherein the transmission mechanism comprises a connecting lever shaft connected with an output rotary shaft of the power apparatus and an insulating pull rod which is in transmission connection with the connecting lever shaft and used for driving a circuit breaker to switch on and switch off; the operating mechanism also comprises a spring apparatus which provides assisting force firstly and then provides buffer force in both of the switch on and switch off processes. According to the operating mechanism and the switching apparatus using the same, the spring apparatus supplies an assisting force effect to a moving contact of the circuit breaker in a front period of the switch on and switch off, so that short-time output power and transient torque output capability of the power apparatus can be reduced, and the power apparatus obtains the characteristics of low rotational inertia, small size and light weight; and meanwhile, the spring apparatus supplies a buffering effect to the moving contact of the circuit breaker in a later period of the switch on and switch off, so that the circuit breaker can be stopped in the switch on and switch off positions smoothly and stably so as to lower impact force.

The invention relates to a permanent magnet operating mechanism with an air opening damping device for high-voltage and low-voltage switches, belonging to the technical field of high-voltage and low-voltage electric appliances. The mechanism mainly comprises a permanent magnet mechanism body consisting of a power output shaft, an upper magnet yoke, an outer magnet yoke, a closing/opening coil, a movable iron core, an inner magnet yoke, a permanent magnet embedded between the inner magnet yoke and the outer magnet yoke, a lower magnet yoke, a guide shaft and an air chamber. In the technical scheme of the invention, the property and structure of an original permanent magnet mechanism are not changed; the movable iron core is used as a piston; and the section of an air escape channel can be controlled through calculating and designing the width of an eddy current prevention groove, a fit clearance and compressed air volume. During the closing operation of a breaker, the movable iron core rushes to the air chamber at a high speed, air pressure acts on the end surface of the movable iron core, and the breaker can obtain an ideal closing damping effect. An air damper and the permanent magnet operating mechanism are integrated into a whole, and therefore the structure of the breaker is simplified and the performance of the breaker is improved; and since an original closing oil damper and accessories are not used, cost is reduced, resources are saved and oil pollution is avoided.
