A miniature ingestible imaging capsule having a membrane defining an internal cavity and being provided with a window is provided. A lens is disposed in relation to said window and a light source disposed in relation to the lens for providing illumination to outside of the membrane through the window. An imaging array is disposed in relation to the lens, wherein images from the lens impinge on the imaging array. A transmitter is disposed in relation to the imaging array for transmitting a signal from the imaging array to an associated transmitter outside of the membrane. The lens, light source imaging array, and transmitter are enclosed within the internal cavity of the capsule.

Ozone may be provided to permeate the filter, as well. Reflectors may be provided to reflect UV radiation emitted in a direction away from the filter, towards the filter. A jetting dispenser has a dispenser body with a fluid channel and a fluid channel outlet within the fluid channel. A valve member is movable within the fluid channel for selective contact with a valve seat near the fluid channel outlet. A jetting nozzle is adapted to be coupled to the dispenser body, adjacent the channel outlet, and has a nozzle body with a plurality of nozzle outlets in fluid communication with the channel outlet via a plurality of fluid passages through the nozzle body. The valve member is moved by a valve driver to contact the valve seat and impart momentum to liquid material supplied to the dispenser such that a plurality of droplets of liquid material are simultaneously jetted from the plurality of nozzle outlets.

In one embodiment, an automatic injector comprises a cartridge adapted to contain a charge of medicament, a seal structure disposed toward a forward end of the cartridge, a plunger normally disposed in a generally rearward end of the cartridge and movable through the cartridge toward a generally forward end thereof in response to an actuating procedure. The movable plunger rearwardly confines the medicament within the cartridge. A needle normally disposed in communication with the medicament container provides a passage in which the medicament is released into an individual's flesh in response to an actuating procedure projecting the needle into the flesh of the individual. The cartridge having an increased friction region so as to slow the motion of the plunger when the forward end of the needle travels through the seal in order to eliminate coring.

A hinge for controlling a pivotal rate of movement. The hinge includes a first hinge part and a second hinge part that is pivotally mounted to the first hinge part. The first hinge part movable to and between open and closed positions relative to the second hinge part. A connector extends along an axis and the first and second hinge parts are pivotally mounted around the connector on the axis. A gap is defined between at least one of the first and second hinge parts and the connector. A damping fluid is located within the gap for controlling a relative rate of movement of the first and second hinge parts between the open and closed positions.

An electrical system to provide a continuous source of energy AC/DC within a vehicle. This system charges the batteries thus exerting a natural braking effect on the motor at those times when it is desired to slow the forward motion of the vehicle such as when going down hill or needing to come to a stop. Due to the batteries being thus intermittently charged, somewhat smaller batteries may be used than are used in the prior art, and the recharging interval can be lengthened. The system is environmentally friendly, with zero emissions and is economical to operate. In addition, the vehicle is quiet and gives a smooth ride.

A point detection system is provided for use in a typical switch machine with a typical indication system, wherein a point detector bar is slidably captivated within a point detector sleeve, and wherein a target that is integrally engaged with the point detector bar is sensed by at least one sensing device, thereby to detect movement of the point detector bar. The point detector sleeve is supported by a track side bearing affixed to a track side wall of the switch machine, and by a field side bearing affixed to an opposing wall of the switch machine. The point detector bar extends outside the switch machine from only the track side bearing, thereby eliminating the bearings and the pinch point between the hand throw lever and the two piece point detector bar that otherwise extended from the related art switch machine. The sensing device may be mounted upon a slide mechanism to adjust the sensing device relative to the target. Use of the sensing device eliminates the need for cams to monitor in order to detect movement of the point detector bar, as well as eliminates moving parts between the cams and the mechanical linkages. Further, at least one other sensing device detects a normal and reverse locked position of a lock bar assembly and lock box of the switch machine.

A bypass plunger combines a unitary or one-piece hollow body-and-valve cage, retains a dart valve within the valve cage portion of the hollow body using a threaded retaining nut secured by crimple detents. A series of helical grooves surround the central portion of the outer surface of the hollow body of the plunger to control spin during descent. A canted-coil-spring disposed within the retaining nut functions as a clutch. The valve cage includes ports that may be configured to control flow through the plunger during ascent. Other embodiments include clutch assemblies using canted-coil springs with split bobbins, and valve stems surfaced to achieve specific functions. Combinations of these features provide enhanced performance, durability and reliability at reduced manufacturing cost, due primarily to the simplicity of its design.

A swallowable in vivo therapeutic device, and a method for use of a device. The device may include a transparent case and one or more radiation sources, the radiation sources to treat the detected pathological lesions inside the gastrointestinal (GI) tract with light during the passage of the device through the GI tract. A method may include inserting into a patient a device, rotating external magnets in close proximity to the patient, thereby fully controlling the movement of the device inside the GI tract, stopping the device and activating the light radiation in areas of the pathological lesions for a predetermined period of time, and deactivating the light radiation and moving the device further through the GI tract.

A miniature ingestible capsule has multiple therapeutic or diagnostic operations that can be performed. These functions are controlled by a combination of an outside control, a pose beacon and through information relayed from an imagining array and transmitter. These functions can be in a separate capsule without an imaging array or within the same capsule with an imaging array. Typically, there is one function performed in addition to imaging. These functions can include suction and spray capabilities, ultrasound sensor, lithotripsy, laser, heat, electrocautery, BICAP, biopsy forceps, a needle knife snare cautery (cold and hot with continuous or pulsed current for cutting and coagulation), with a basket, and fine needle aspiration with various wheels and fins and motors controlled externally and other tools to be used in humans. All of these tools can be attached to a retractable arm. Also, they can be used on an elevator device that lifts them, allowing for an extra 180° of movement.

An accelerometer or a seismometer using an in-plane suspension geometry having a suspension plate and at least one fixed capacitive plate. The suspension plate is formed from a single piece and includes an external frame, a pair of flexural elements, and an integrated proof mass between the flexures. The flexural elements allow the proof mass to move in the sensitive direction in the plane of suspension while restricting movement in all off-axis directions. Off-axis motion of the proof mass is minimized by the use of intermediate frames disbursed within and between the flexural elements. Intermediate frames can include motion stops to prevent further relative motion during overload conditions. The device can also include a dampening structure, such as a spring or gas structure that includes a trapezoidal piston and corresponding cylinder, to provide damping during non-powered states.

The synchronizing system for multiple hydraulic cylinders, disclosed by the invention, includes two hydraulic control valves, three hydraulic cylinders and a rigid fixed connection mechanism, as well as a control unit and a feedback pressure sensor, wherein two of the hydraulic cylinders are reference hydraulic cylinders, and the other hydraulic cylinder is a servo hydraulic cylinder; the hydraulic control valve connected with the servo hydraulic cylinder is a servo hydraulic control valve; pressure of a reserved hydraulic chamber of the servo hydraulic cylinder is detected by a feedback pressure sensor; the control unit is in signal connection with an electric control end of the servo hydraulic control valve; the control unit can be used for confirming the servo pressure of the servo hydraulic cylinder as per a detection signal of the feedback pressure sensor, and reducing the opening degree of the servo hydraulic control valve connected with the servo hydraulic cylinder when the servo pressure of the servo hydraulic cylinder is larger than a first threshold value. The synchronizing system for multiple hydraulic cylinders can improve the synchronization precision of actions of multiple hydraulic cylinders while controlling the cost.

A sliding door apparatus for opening and closing an opening in a wall, including a longitudinally extending track member mountable along an upper edge of the opening; a door movably mountable on the track member for side to side movement thereon between an opened and closed position; and damping means disposed within the track member actuatable in response to the side to side movement of the door to break the door's movement as it approaches its fully opened and closed positions.

A singulating module/belt including a conveyor belt for moving a stack of sheet material toward a pair of take-away rollers in one direction and a singulation belt moving in an opposing direction for retarding the motion of the upper sheets of the stack. The singulation belt is characterized by a compliant face surface which separates sheet material without damaging or tearing the sheets during singulation. In the described embodiment, the cross section of the belt includes a plurality of grooves defining a plurality of longitudinal ribs therebetween. The ribs define a cumulative width dimension in contact with the sheet material which is within a range of between about 0.55 to about 0.85 of the width dimension of the belt. Furthermore, the height dimension of each rib is within a range of between about 0.20 to about 0.8 of the height dimension of the belt. Moreover, each rib thereof defines an aspect ratio (RW/RH) including a width dimension RW in contact with the sheet material and a height dimension RH measured from a core of the singulation belt. The aspect ratio is within a range of between about 0.5 to about 2.0.

The invention discloses a quick response method of multistage gray scale electrophoresis electronic paper. The method is used for driving multistage gray scale electrophoresis electronic paper. The method includes the steps: A, increasing the absolute value of a drive voltage to enable the drive voltage to be greater than 15V; B, applying a voltage waveform that is opposite to the electric property of an original image to erase the original image; C, applying a square wave voltage waveform with a duty ratio being 50% to activate electrophoresis particles; and D, applying a voltage waveform with a proper length to flash a new gray scale. Quick response of multistage gray scale electrophoresis electronic paper is achieved by properly increasing the drive voltage and changing different drive voltage waveform lengths. Concretely, in the step D, quick response of four-stage gray scale electrophoresis electronic paper is achieved by applying a positive voltage, and quick response of above-four-stage gray scale electrophoresis electronic paper is achieved by applying both a positive voltage and a negative voltage.
