[0001] PESTICIDAL MIXTURE COMPRISING (A) ISOCYCLOSERAM AND (B) A C16-C18-ALKYLCARBOXYLIC ACID / SALT THEREOF OR ANY COMBINATION THEREOF

[0002] The present invention relates to compositions of pesticidally active ingredients and to methods of using the compositions in the field of agriculture.

The pesticidal composition advantageously achieves a high degree of pest control.

[0006] Throughout this document, the expression “composition” stands forthe various mixtures or combinations of active ingredients (A) and (B), for example in a single “ready-mix” form, in a combined spray mixture composed from separate formulations of the single active ingredient components, such as a “tank-mix”, and in a combined use of the single active ingredients when applied in a sequential manner, i.e. one after the other with a reasonably short period, such as a few hours or days. The order of applying the active ingredients (A) and (B) is not essential for working the present invention.

[0007] Isocycloseram is an insecticidal agrochemical with the following CAS number: 2061933-85-3, and has the following chemical formula: Isocycloseram can comprise the isomer (5S,4R) which is 4-[(5S)-5-(3,5-dichloro-4-fluoro-phenyl)-5- (trifluoromethyl)-4H-isoxazol-3-yl]-N-[(4R)-2-ethyl-3-oxo-isoxazolidin-4-yl]-2-methyl-benzamide, and optionally at least one of the isomers selected among isomer (5S,4S), isomer (5R,4R), isomer (5R,4S), and any combinations thereof. In the present invention, the isomer (5S,4S) is 4-[(5S)-5-(3,5-dichloro-4- fluoro-phenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-isoxazol-3-yl]-N-[(4S)-2-ethyl-3-oxo-isoxazolidin-4-yl]-2-methyl- benzamide; the isomer (5R,4R) is 4-[(5R)-5-(3,5-dichloro-4-fluoro-phenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H- isoxazol-3-yl]-N-[(4R)-2-ethyl-3-oxo-isoxazolidin-4-yl]-2-methyl-benzamide; and the isomer (5R,4S) is 4-[(5R)-5-(3,5-dichloro-4-fluoro-phenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-isoxazol-3-yl]-N-[(4S)-2-ethyl-3-oxo- isoxazolidin-4-yl]-2-methyl-benzamide. When isocycloseram further comprises at least one of the isomers selected among isomer (5S,4S), isomer (5R,4R), isomer (5R,4S), and any combinations thereof, isocycloseram can comprise a molar proportion of the isomer (5S,4R) greater than 50%, e.g. at least 55%, 60%, 65%, 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%, 96%, 97%, 98% or 99%, over the total amount of the isomers (5S,4R), (5S,4S), (5R,4R) and (5R,4S).

Claims

CLAIMS1. A pesticidal composition comprising an active ingredient A and an active ingredient B, characterized in that the active ingredient A is isocycloseram, and the active ingredient B is selected from Ci6-Ci8-alkylcarboxylic acids, Cie-Cis-alkylcarboxylic acid salts, and any combination thereof.2 The pesticidal composition according to claim 1 , characterized in that the C16-C18- alkylcarboxylic acid is selected from palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, elaidic acid, linoleic acid, and any mixture thereof.3 The pesticidal composition according to any one of the preceding claim, characterized in that the Cie-Cis-alkylcarboxylic acid comprises at least oleic acid.

4. The pesticidal composition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the salt of Cie-Cis-alkylcarboxylic acid is an alkali salt of Cie-Cis-alkylcarboxylic acid, and preferably a potassium salt of Cie-Cis-alkylcarboxylic acid.

5. The pesticidal composition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the weight ratio of active ingredient A to active ingredient B can range from 1 :1 to 1 :500, preferably from 1 :1 to 1 :300, preferably from 1 :1 O to 1 :200, preferably from 1 :10 to 1 :100, and more preferably from 1 :15 to 1 :90.

6. The pesticidal composition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the active ingredient A is used to prepare a suspension concentrate, a flowable suspension, a suspoemulsion, a suspension concentrate-capsule suspension blend, water soluble granules, water dispersible granules, water dispersible tablets, a dispersible concentrate, or an oil dispersion.

7. The pesticidal composition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the active ingredient B is used to prepare a formulation FB, wherein said formulation FB comprises at least 20% by weight of oleic acid, and preferably at least 30% by weight of oleic acid, over the total weight of the formulation FB.

8. The pesticidal composition according to claim 7, characterized in that the formulation FB further comprises an alkali hydroxide, and preferably potassium hydroxide.

9. The pesticidal composition according to claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the formulation FB further comprises a solvent selected from ethanol, isopropanol, 1 ,2-propylene glycol, and glycerin.

10. The pesticidal composition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the active ingredient B is used to prepare an emulsion in water.

11. A method of combating and / or controlling a pest, which comprises applying to a pest, to a locus of a pest, to a plant susceptible to attack by a pest, or to a plant propagation material susceptible to attack by a pest, a combination of active ingredients A and B, characterized in that the active ingredients A and B are as defined in any one of the preceding claims.

12. The method according to claim 11 , characterized in that the active ingredients A and B are applied in mixing a formulation containing the active ingredient A and a formulation containing the active ingredient B.

13. The method according to claim 11 or 12, characterized in that the pest is from the Hemiptera or Thysanoptera order.

14. The method according to any one of claims 11 to 13, characterized in that the plant is selected from cereals, leguminous crops, fibre plants, pome and stone fruits, citrus, tropical fruits, and vegetables.

15. Use of the pesticidal composition according to any one of claims 1 to 10, to combat and / or control the pests from Hemiptera or Thysanoptera order.
