Abstract
A draw agent recovery system for recovering draw agent solution for further use in forward osmosis, the draw agent recovery system comprising: a distillation unit for receiving, as distillation unit input, diluted draw agent, and for producing a vapour phase output; a downstream apparatus configured to receive, as downstream apparatus input, said vapour phase output from said distillation unit; said downstream apparatus being further configured to extract draw agent from said downstream apparatus input, whereby the operating condition of the distillation unit is thereby controlled; said downstream apparatus being still further configured to produce, as first downstream apparatus output, recovered draw agent solution.
