[0001] Multi-stall sanitary unit

[0002] The object of the invention is a multi-stall sanitary unit which is particularly suited to mass events, as well as to individual rental and equipping state institutions.

[0003] A vacuum sewage unit containing two vacuum pumps and a controller is known from the description of the international invention WO 2018132015 Al, with the pumps being configured to be run singularly, in parallel or in series, depending on the required vacuum demand. In addition, the unit includes an accumulating tank, which is functioning both as a manifold to distribute the sewage to the pumps and as a vacuum reservoir to obtain sufficient vacuum accumulation in the system. The unit is provided with an inlet piping arrangement connected to the tank and including at least one inlet connection to be connected to the field sewage system. The inlet of the pump is connected to the tank via a piping arrangement. The outlet of the pump is provided with an outlet piping arrangement with an outlet connection that can be connected to an external sewage storage tank or a local sewage system. Only one pump is initially running, in the unit, to achieve the required vacuum level, about 50%, if further capacity is needed due to increased flushing, a second pump is run.

[0004] A vacuum system connected to toilets, urinals or sinks, containing a liquid ring vacuum pump with an integrated grinder is known from the description of the international invention WO 0190495 Al. The pump is connected via pipes to the toilets, and each toilet is fitted with a drainage valve. The pump starts and runs for a few seconds to establish a vacuum in the pipes between the toilet and the pump, and the drainage valve subsequently opens to empty the toilet, after which the valve closes and the pump stops shortly afterwards.

The technical duct located between the rear walls of the rows of sanitary stalls enables piping to be arranged efficiently in terms of the space it occupies, making it possible to fit from 6 to as many as 8 cabins in a single row, providing up to 16 sanitary stalls. Thanks to the use of vacuum drainages and timed taps, the amount of water used has been significantly reduced - for flushing, for example, the amount of water has been reduced from around 5 litres to 0.5-0.7 litres. In addition, the applied air- conditioning system allows protecting the inner technical space of the sanitary unit from freezing in winter. These benefits improves the mobility and adaptability of the sanitary unit in different conditions.

[0011] A multi-stall sanitary unit, according to the invention, comprises a rectangular container 1 containing two longer vertical walls that are parallel to each other and two shorter vertical walls that are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the longer walls. Inside the container, along each of the longer walls, there is a row 2 of sanitary cabins, each of the cabins containing a toilet bowl 3 and a washbasin 4. A door 5 leads to each sanitary stall, which is located on the longer walls. Between the rows 2 of cabins, inside the container 1, there is a technical duct 6, separated from each of the rows 2 of cabins by a partition wall that is parallel to the longer walls of the container 1, the partition wall on the side of the respective row 2 being the rear wall of its sanitary cabins, and the cabins within the respective row 2 being further separated from each other by partition walls. The sanitary unit comprises a central air-conditioning unit, the external unit 7 of the air-conditioning unit being connected to one of the shorter walls of the container 1 at its upper section, and the internal unit 8 being connected to the container 1 at the upper section of its technical duct 6. Each sanitary cabin has a supply air grille 9 at the upper section of its rear wall on the side of the technical duct 6, the grille is connected to the air-conditioning line 10 leading to the internal unit 8 of the central air-conditioning unit. In addition, each of the sanitary cabins contains a ventilating exhaust air grille 11, at the bottom of its rear wall, which leads to the technical duct 6. Each of the toilet bowls 3 is connected to the vacuum sewer via a vacuum drainage valve. Inside the technical duct 6, the vacuum sewer contains four main vacuum pipes 12, with three drainage valves being connected to each of the two main vacuum pipes 12 via separate side vacuum pipes 13, and with four drainage valves being connected to other two main vacuum pipes 12 via side vacuum pipes 13. The main vacuum pipes 12 are located in the upper part of the technical duct 6, below the air-conditioning lines 10 and above the drainage valves of the toilet bowls 3, and they are also connected to the vacuum junction 14 for connection to the external vacuum pump unit. The drains of the wash basins 4 are connected to sewer pipes 15, which are located below the vacuum pipes 12 and 13, and these sewer pipes are connected to the vacuum junction 14 via a grinder 16 and overflow 17. Time flow taps 18 are installed in the wash basins 4. The water pipes 19 are located in the technical duct 6 below the vacuum pipes 12 and 13 and below the sewer pipes 15 and are connected to the time flow taps 18 of the wash basins 4 and to the toilet bowls 3. The cold water 20 and hot water 21 connections are located on the shorter wall of the container 1 on the side of the vacuum junction 14. The vacuum sewer contains a filter to catch objects such as cutlery or nappies. On the longer walls of the container 1 above each door 5, there is an occupancy lamp 22 for the cabin. In addition, above the occupancy lamps 22, the container includes an exterior LED lighting 23 and, inside each cabin, an interior LED lighting attached to the cabin’s ceiling. Furthermore, on the shorter wall of the container, containing the vacuum junction 14, there is located an electrical distribution board 24.

Patent claims1. A multi-stall sanitary unit containing a rectangular container with two long vertical walls that are parallel to each other and two shorter vertical walls that are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the long walls, and furthermore containing two rows of sanitary cabins, each of which contains a toilet bowl, and one row of sanitary cabins is located on the side of one of the container's longer walls and the other row is located on the opposite longer wall, with each row containing at least six sanitary cabins, and furthermore, the container contains a technical duct, in which the vacuum pipes of the vacuum drainage system and the water system connected to the toilet bowl cisterns are located, characterised in that, the technical duct (6) is located between the rows (2) of cabins and is separated from them by partition walls, and that the vacuum pipes include four main vacuum pipes (12), to which 3 to 4 vacuum drainage valves of the toilet bowls (3) are connected, each via a separate side vacuum pipe (13), with the main vacuum lines being located above the toilet bowls (3) and their vacuum drainage valves and the water piping (19), in the technical duct (6), being located below the main vacuum pipes (12), and in addition, the main vacuum pipes (12) are connected to a vacuum junction (14), for connecting an external vacuum pump unit, with the container (1) containing central air conditioning unit, the external unit of which is on the shorter wall of the container (1), on which the vacuum junction (14) is located, and the internal unit (8) is located inside the container (1) in the technical duct (6), with each cabin having a supply air grille (9) at the top of its rear wall connected by an air-conditioning line to the internal unit (8), and an exhaust air grille (11) at the bottom of the cabin.
