Abstract
Description
Kimchi Workshop Platform as a Complex K-Culture Space
[0001] The present invention relates to a technology for providing a kitchen system platform for providing a kind of cooking facility, and more specifically, to a novel platform technology for providing related information and services online to assist in making kimchi, and linking this with an actual kitchen system based on the information and services, so that anyone can systematically perform or experience the so-called 'making kimchi' without any hassle.
[0002] Kimchi is Korea's representative fermented food, recognized worldwide as a health food and cultural symbol. Reflecting this trend, the word 'kimchi' has been included in the Oxford English Dictionary.
[0003] Kimchi has become widely known and consumed internationally, aligning with the globalization of Korean culture. As interest in Korean cuisine has grown due to the globalization of K-culture, its popularity has also increased. Kimchi is recognized as a healthy food, rich in lactic acid bacteria and containing various nutrients, including vitamins and minerals. In particular, the lactic acid bacteria produced during the fermentation process are known to support intestinal health, making it a highly valued health food. Furthermore, kimchi boasts a unique flavor, combining a spicy yet sour flavor with a variety of ingredients. These unique characteristics have captivated taste buds worldwide.
[0004] Beyond the aesthetic aspect, kimchi is an essential food on the Korean table, and is deeply connected to Korean traditional culture. Kimchi culture is undoubtedly a symbolic food representing Korean culture, to the point that it has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
[0005] However, due to the cumbersome process of making kimchi at home, the number of households making kimchi is declining in Korea, and many are unfortunately purchasing ready-made kimchi. This decline in the number of households making their own kimchi is leading to a decline in the diversity of kimchi, and concerns are growing that the unique and previously unknown kimchi-making techniques will be lost.
[0006] In contrast to this reality in Korea, the home of kimchi, the reaction to kimchi overseas is growing explosively, and this reality cannot help but be ironic.
[0007] Therefore, the need to expand the diversity of kimchi and discover unknown kimchi-making know-how is not only a practical matter, but is also an essential task for the globalization of traditional Korean food culture.
[0008] Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2016-0124770 discloses a kitchen system utilizing robots. However, this invention is a practical technology that considers offline cooking efficiency, and is not intended to advance food culture through recipe discovery or creation.
[0009] In this situation, simply promoting kimchi offline or online has limitations in globalizing kimchi and expanding its diversity. A groundbreaking global platform related to kimchi, in line with the growing trend of K-culture, is urgently needed.

[0038] FIG. 1 is a block diagram conceptually illustrating a kimchi workshop platform according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0039] Referring to FIG. 1, the kimchi workshop platform (1000) includes an online platform (100) and an offline platform (200). The offline platform (200) can be considered a type of offline store that includes a kitchen system (220), but is equipped with an information receiving and output device that receives information from the online platform (100).
[0040] The online platform (100) includes a recipe generation unit (110) and a task processing unit (120). The term 'recipe' refers to a concept that includes not only information on the mixing and ingredients for making kimchi, but also methodological elements and know-how for making kimchi.
[0041] Meanwhile, access to the online platform (100) of the Kimchi Workshop platform (1000) may include security elements. For example, access to the online platform (100) may involve registration via the web or an app, or standard security measures such as IDs and passwords. The online platform (100) may include different subscriber categories, each categorized according to the subscriber's role or usage pattern on the online platform (100).
[0042] The above recipe generation unit (110) performs a process for collecting or generating various information about kimchi recipes. In the present embodiment, the recipe generation unit (110) includes a data collection unit (112) and a recipe generation AI (114) for collecting and generating data, and a data processing unit (116) for processing the collected or generated recipe information and transmitting it to a task processing unit (120).
[0043] The data collection unit (112) performs the function of collecting individual kimchi know-how provided (input) by second users (USER 2) or collecting kimchi-related notice data obtained from various information provision platforms. The second users may be subscribers of any of the online platforms (100). The data collection unit (112) may include a mining tool for collecting notice data.
[0044] The above recipe generation AI (114) learns data collected by the data collection unit (112) or includes a recipe generation algorithm that has already been learned from existing kimchi recipe data. The recipe generation AI (114) can be used by linking with tools from existing AI providers. Through the recipe generation AI (114), various new recipes that have been improved or modified in detail can be created. The recipe generation AI (114) can be said to perform the function of a so-called online AI chef (referred to as 'AI chef 1' to distinguish it from AI chefs on offline platforms).
[0045] The data processing unit (116) performs the function of generating output information requested by the task processing unit (120) through various program processes such as grouping or visualizing collected or generated recipe information. The data processing form of the data processing unit (116) may be modified according to the processing content of the task processing unit (120).
[0046] The task processing unit (120) includes a function for performing mutual feedback with a first user (USER 1) who wishes to make kimchi on the offline platform (200). The first user views the recipe information provided (output, transmitted) by the task processing unit (120) and decides on the recipe for the kimchi he or she wishes to make on the offline platform (200). In addition, the task processing unit (120) processes preliminary tasks such as selecting an offline platform (100) store and selecting a schedule through the mutual feedback.
[0047] Meanwhile, the work processing unit (120) determines the ingredients and the method of supplying the ingredients in accordance with the determined recipe and processes the function of supplying the ingredients for making kimchi to the offline platform (200).
[0048] To this end, the work processing unit (120) includes a mutual feedback processing program with a third user (USER 3), who is a material supplier. The third user may be another user of the online platform (100), and the third user may input information on material supply, such as kimchi material information, material supply method, and sales method, into the work processing unit (120). Through this material-related information, the third user provides basic information for the first user's material selection and is responsible for actual supply to the offline platform (200).
[0049] In this embodiment, the third-party user as a subscriber has been described. However, the task processing unit (120) may alternatively include its own material supply program. For example, the task processing unit (120) may be linked to its own mall within the online platform (100).
[0050] Ultimately, the work processing unit (120) is a core online process that determines recipe information, ingredients, and ingredient supply methods, transmits the recipe information to the offline platform (200), and supplies kimchi ingredients corresponding to the recipe information to the real space of the offline platform (200), thereby assisting the first user to make actual kimchi on the offline platform (200).
[0051] The offline platform (200) includes a collaboration system (210) for assisting the first user in making kimchi based on recipe information transmitted from the work processing unit (120), a kitchen system (220) for providing a space for the first user to make kimchi, and an ingredient storage facility (230).
[0052] The compartments and settings of the above-mentioned material storage facility (230) can be modified in various ways at the level of those skilled in the art to maximize the convenience of the first user. The kitchen system (220) can also be configured in various structures and sizes to maximize the convenience of the kimchi-making process. The kitchen system (220) can be designed in a number of standardized sizes depending on the amount of kimchi being produced and placed in offline stores.
[0053] FIG. 2 is a block diagram conceptually illustrating one embodiment of the task processing unit of FIG. 1.
[0054] Referring to FIG. 2, in this embodiment, the task processing unit (120) includes a recipe processing unit (122), a material processing unit (124), and a user interface 1 (52) for mutual information feedback with the first user.
[0055] The recipe processing unit (122) performs a task for processing information exchange with the first user through the user interface 1 (52) regarding the recipe information transmitted from the recipe generation unit (110). The first user views the recipe information or confirms the recipe through a terminal (1), such as a PC or mobile device, for example.
[0056] The material processing unit (124) provides material information corresponding to the determined recipe information to the terminal (1) of the first user through the user interface 1 (52), thereby enabling the first user to design a variety of material combinations based on origin, quality, etc. corresponding to the recipe. In addition, the first user can also determine the method of supplying and receiving materials through the terminal (1).
[0057] This material information is basically based on information entered by a third-party user (USER 3), and the third-party user (USER 3) can be divided into a user (USER 3-1) who provides only purchasing information on specific materials and a user (USER 3-2) who provides customized purchasing information on all material combinations corresponding to a recipe.
[0058] Meanwhile, in the present embodiment, the material processing unit (124) includes a supply matching process (124-1) and a supply matching AI (124-2). The supply matching process (124-1) performs a function of proposing an optimal purchasing scenario that satisfies the requirements of the first user. Meanwhile, the material search scope of the supply matching processor (124-1) may be limited to the material information range entered by the third user (USER 3-1, 3-2). However, the search scope of the online platform (100) may also include the material information range of an external open market.
[0059] Additionally, the first user can directly order materials from an open market linked to the material processing unit (124). In this case, the order details are also stored and processed in the material processing unit (124).
[0060] Referring back to FIG. 2, the material processing unit (124) may include a supply matching AI (124-2) as described above. The supply matching AI (124-2) performs a function of proposing supply information including optimal material purchasing details and methods to the first user based on all information such as material information and open markets provided by the material processing unit (124) by identifying customer tendencies and needs in advance. That is, the supply matching process (124-1) is a matching process corresponding to the input of the first user, and the supply matching AI (124-2) includes a process for proactively proposing matching.
[0061] FIG. 3 is a block diagram conceptually illustrating one embodiment of the offline platform of FIG. 1.
[0062] Referring to FIG. 3, the collaborative system (210) of the offline platform (200) according to the present embodiment includes an information output unit (212) and a physical area (214). The information output unit (212) receives kimchi manufacturing information transmitted from the task processing unit (120) and, based on the kimchi manufacturing information, outputs visual or audio information to assist the first user in making kimchi. Of course, the display method and operation of the visual or audio information, etc., may be modified in various ways to take into account the convenience of the first user's work. In the present embodiment, the physical area (214) includes a weighing unit (214-1) and a mixing unit (214-2). The weighing unit (214-2) assists the first user in ensuring quantitative accuracy in mixing ingredients and basically includes a weight measuring means. The above mixing unit (214-2) is a means for ensuring uniform mixing of prepared seasoning ingredients, and basically includes a mixing means optimized for mixing kimchi seasoning. However, the mixing unit (214-2) can automatically operate with consideration to the kimchi recipe, such as mixing intensity and mixing time.
[0063] The above-described collaborative system (210) may be an integrated robot device (robot system) (300) including the information output unit (212) and the physical area (214). However, the robot device (300) has a different technical concept from known kimchi manufacturing devices, etc. The kimchi workshop platform (1000) according to the present invention is fundamentally based on the technical concept of assisting the first user in making kimchi, and the basic premise of the platform is that the subject of kimchi making does not leave the first user. Meanwhile, the robot device (300) includes a conversational AI and serves as an AI chef (2) in the so-called offline platform (200). Since the robot device (300) includes AI and various processing devices, it is natural that it can perform various multimedia functions in addition to assisting in making kimchi. In the present invention, the robot device (300) is a representative technical element that is continuously upgraded according to technological development.
[0064] Fig. 4 is a block diagram conceptually illustrating a compensation processing unit further included in the online platform of Fig. 1.
[0065] Referring to FIG. 4, in this embodiment, the task processing unit (120) includes a user information collection unit (126) that constructs various big data, such as information and usage styles of the first or third user. Furthermore, the user information collection unit (126) can also collect various types of unexpected information generated on the offline platform (200) by receiving feedback through the collaboration system (210).
[0066] The online platform (100) according to the present embodiment includes a statistical processing unit (130) and a reward processing unit (140). The statistical processing unit (130) receives processed data collected by the user information collection unit (126) and processed by the task processing unit (120), and provides meaningful insights using various algorithms. In addition, the statistical processing unit (130) stores statistically processed information, obtained insight information, etc., in a statistical database (132).
[0067] The above statistical processing unit (130) quantitatively processes the statistics of the recipes selected by the first users and transmits the basic compensation information reflecting various pre-designed weights to the compensation processing unit (140). The compensation processing unit (140) processes the basic compensation information and performs a process of providing a compensation to the second user who is the recipe information provider. This compensation process is performed through the user interface 2 (54) between the terminal (2) of the second user and the compensation processing unit (140). The user interface 2 (54) is included in the recipe generation unit (110), and the second user can input recipe information and receive compensation, etc. in a batch manner through the terminal (2), etc., through the user interface 2 (54).
[0068] Fig. 5 is a block diagram conceptually explaining an additional service processing unit further included in the work processing unit of Fig. 1.
[0069] Referring to FIG. 5, the task processing unit (120) may further include an additional service processing unit (128). The additional service processing unit (128) performs a function of providing additional service information input from a third user (USER 3-3), who is an additional service provider, to the first user.
[0070] Additional services may be various products or services linked to K-culture. Since User 1 can receive various additional services in addition to the basic services of the Kimchi Workshop Platform (1000), the Kimchi Workshop Platform (1000) can function as a kind of K-culture store or communication platform.
[0071] The first user can purchase additional services provided by a third user (USER 3-3) and receive services from the offline platform (200). Therefore, additional service information is transmitted from the additional service processing unit (128) to the offline platform (200), and the actual service is provided to the offline platform by the third user (USER 3-3). Meanwhile, the kimchi workshop platform (1000) of the present embodiment has its own logistics warehouse (400), and by promoting the list and contents of products held in the logistics warehouse (400) to the first user through the first user's terminal (1), it can also provide strategic sales products held in the logistics warehouse (400) to the first user through the offline platform (200). All information on such additional services is linked to the offline platform (200). Meanwhile, the above-mentioned additional services and products of the logistics warehouse (400) may be services or products linked to or derived from K-culture. For example, products provided through the above-mentioned additional service may include K-foods such as frozen kimbap, which are popular overseas, and may also include K-pop physical albums, reflecting the popularity of K-pop. In addition, offline platform (200) stores may display and sell various products other than those reserved by the first user.
[0072] Meanwhile, the additional service processing unit (128) does not only include a process for unilateral provision, but may also include a process capable of providing a product that reflects the request feedback of the first user.
[0073] As above, the Kimchi Workshop Platform (1000) will be able to serve as a new online and offline linked platform with kimchi as its theme, and further as a bridgehead for the spread of K-culture.
[0074] Figure 6 is a block diagram conceptually explaining an expert collaboration processing unit further included in the task processing unit of Figure 1.
[0075] Referring to Fig. 6, the online platform (100) provides kimchi information and, in addition to performing functions related to the supply of corresponding ingredients, also functions to connect actual human experts to the first user. In this embodiment, the task processing unit (120) further includes an expert collaboration processing unit (129). The expert collaboration processing unit (129) includes an expert database accumulated based on input from a fourth user (USER 4), a kimchi manufacturing expert, and includes a compensation processing unit for the fourth user. Unlike the compensation for the second user described above, the compensation processing unit is a compensation process that does not go through the statistical processing unit (130), and includes a means for the first user to pay the expert fee. The first user's post-evaluation of the fourth user (USER 4) is also reflected in the expert database. The expert need not be a master of kimchi manufacturing, but rather a person with considerable manufacturing experience corresponding to the type of kimchi selected by the first user is sufficient. Of course, the reliability of the expert database can be increased by a post-evaluation system. The expert collaboration processing unit (129) coordinates the schedule and roles of experts on the offline platform (200) so that the fourth user, the expert, can effectively assist the first user in making kimchi on the offline platform (200).
[0076] In this way, the first user can effectively experience 'kimchi making' in a real space, such as an offline platform (200), by simply accessing a terminal (1) such as a smartphone and utilizing the online platform (100), by receiving various services such as kimchi recipes, ingredient supply, additional services, and expert assistance services on the online platform (200). In addition, all users, including the first user, can be provided with a communication platform where they can access various K-cultures through the kimchi workshop platform (1000).
