Problems solved by technology

Therefore, when a superconducting wire is produced using a wide substrate, there are problems of low production efficiency and high cost because a substrate with a wide area cannot be used and a film cannot be formed efficiently
[0006] Regarding the processing method using laser light disclosed in Non-Patent Document 1, although existing wide substrates can be used, there is a problem that superconducting properties are destroyed due to heat generated by laser irradiation when processing

Abstract

A method for machining a superconducting wire formed by using a broad-width substrate without lowering the superconduction characteristics so as to make a slit in the wire with a high production efficiency. The method comprises a step of preparing a superconducting wire (S) and a machining step of cutting the superconducting wire (S) by means of machining sections (31 to 35) including opposed twocutting portions (21 to 30). The machining sections (31 to 35) include two or more pairs so arranged as to be adjacent at intervals in the width direction of the superconducting wire (S) in such a way that the superconducting wire (S) is sandwiched between two cutting portions (21 to 30). The contact positions of the cutting portions (23, 26, 27, 30) in contact with one surface (S2) of the superconducting wire (S) are outside in the width direction of the superconducting wire (S) from the contact positions of the cutting portions (24, 25, 28, 29) in contact with the other surface (S1).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for processing the width of a superconducting wire, for example, to a method for processing the width of a thin-film superconducting wire by using a cutter. Background technique [0002] For oxide superconducting wires, specifically thin-film superconducting wires, in order to obtain a superconducting wire having a desired width, it is conventionally conventional to prepare a substrate of a desired width in the first stage of production, and to form a substrate on its surface membrane. [0003] In other cases, in order to utilize an existing substrate in production, the existing substrate is used and a superconducting wire having an intermediate layer and a superconducting layer on the substrate is produced. Then, the produced superconducting wire rod is processed to have a desired width. Regarding such processing, Non-Patent Document 1 discloses the use of laser light for processing. [0004] Non-Patent Doc...
