Embodiment Construction

[0023] In the following description, all those parts of a music box, such as a music watch or a chiming watch, which are well known to a person skilled in the art, will only be described in a simplified manner.

[0024] figure 1 A simplified three-dimensional exploded view of an acoustic radiating membrane 1 for a music box such as a music watch or a timepiece is shown. In this embodiment, the film 1 firstly comprises a first layer 2 comprising several cavities 5 which may have the same or different dimensions. Said first layer 2 may be glued or welded to a first face of a second layer 3 without recesses, in order to ensure a certain level of sealing inside the watch when said membrane is installed in the watch case. A third layer 4 with recesses 6 of the same or different size may also be glued or welded to the second face of the second layer 3 . The recesses 5 of the first layer 2 may be arranged opposite to the recesses 6 of the third layer 4 having the same or different ...

Abstract

The invention provides an acoustic radiating membrane (1) assembled to a musical box or an alarm watch, including a first layer (2) having a certain number of cells (5), with the first layer being fixed to the first surface of a second layer (3) having no cells, and third layer (4) having a certain number of cells (6), with the third layer being fixed to the second surface of the second layer (3). The shape and dimension of each cell or of each portion are adapted according to the type of material and the note to be radiated by the membrane. An independent claim is also included for a striking or musical watch.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an acoustic radiating membrane for a music box such as a music watch or a timepiece. [0002] The invention also relates to a watch comprising an acoustic radiating membrane. The watch comprises a case formed essentially by a middle part and a back cover detachably secured to the middle part in a sealed manner. A crystal is provided on the opposite side of the back cover to close the case in a hermetic manner. A timepiece movement is held inside a watch case and is provided with a striking mechanism that can be actuated at a defined moment to produce sound or music. At least one sound radiating membrane is attached to the case to radiate sound generated by the beating mechanism toward the exterior of the case. Background technique [0003] In the field of horology, a timepiece movement of traditional construction can also contain a striking mechanism. Such a striking mechanism can be used to generate at least one so...
