Abstract

A data protection system based on fingerprint identification is applied to an electronic device provided with a capacitive touch screen. When the touch screen is touched by a finger, the system detects a capacitance value between each point on the finger and an induction pole plate layer through the touch screen, and a fingerprint image of the finger is acquired according to the size distribution law of the detected capacitance values; then the system compares the acquired fingerprint image with one or more fingerprint images prestored in the electronic device and performs analysis; and when the acquired fingerprint image is different from or dissimilar to any prestored fingerprint image, target data preset in the electronic device are automatically protected. The invention further provides a data protection method based on the fingerprint identification. The data protection system and method are used for automatically protecting the target data preset in the electronic device.
