Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for managing data. The method comprises the steps of determining three indications relating to thestatus of the stripe, the first indication being used to indicate whether a set of disks relating to the stripe is available, the second indication being used to indicate whether the stripe is to be reconstructed, and the third indication being used to reserve a value of the first indication when the disks are unavailable; in response to detecting that a disk of the set of disks is unavailable, updating the first indication to indicate that the disk is unavailable; and in response to receiving the write operation, updating a third indication with a first value of the first indication for indicating that the dial is not available; and in response to determining that the unavailable disks are re-available within the predetermined period of time, updating the second indication with the current value of the third indication to indicate reconstruction of the slice. By means of the scheme, the number of input / output operations which need to be conducted and are related to strip reconstruction when the unavailable disks are reused can be remarkably reduced, and the data processing efficiency is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the field of data storage, and more particularly, to methods, devices and computer program products for managing data. Background technique [0002] Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) is composed of multiple independent disks combined in different ways to form a disk group. From the user's point of view, the redundant array of independent disks is like a disk, but it can provide higher storage capacity than a single hard disk, and can also provide data backup. When the data in the extent is damaged, the data backup can be used to restore the damaged data, thereby protecting the security of user data. Different composition methods of disk arrays are called RAID levels (RAID Levels), such as RAID0, RAID1, RAID5, etc. [0003] With the development of RAID technology, data reading and writing are performed at the slice level of the disk rather than at the disk level. According to this technique, e...
