[0010] [Description of Embodiments of the Present Disclosure] First, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below. The connector of the present disclosure, (1) It comprises: a first shell; and a second shell capable of being fitted into the first shell, the first shell being open in the front in the fitting direction of the second shell and having a fitting portion for accommodating the second shell therein, the first wall located on the lower side of the wall defining the fitting portion of the first shell having an inclined portion on the wall surface facing the interior of the fitting portion, the inclined portion being inclined downward toward the front to form a gap with the second shell accommodated in the interior of the fitting portion, and the second wall intersecting and adjacent to the first wall being configured on the side opposite to the plate surface of the circuit substrate to shield the circuit substrate and the inclined portion.

[0011] According to the above structure, when the first shell and the second shell are in the fitted state, even if water enters the inside of the fitting part, it can be drained from the front end of the first wall through the inclined surface. In particular, the gap formed between the inclined surface and the second shell can ensure a drainage path. Furthermore, since the space between the inclined surface portion and the circuit board is shielded (blocked) by the second wall, it is possible to prevent water from flowing from the inclined surface portion to the circuit board side.

[0012] (2) It is preferable that the inclined surface portion is formed from the rear end side to the front end side of the wall surface of the first wall in the fitting direction. According to the above configuration, even if water enters deep inside the fitting portion, the water can be drained from the rear end to the front end by the inclined surface portion.

[0013] (3) It is preferred that the inclined surface portion is formed on a portion of the wall surface of the first wall, and the first wall has an edge surface portion disposed along the second housing accommodated in the fitting portion at another portion of the wall surface. In the present disclosure, a gap is formed between the first wall of the first shell and the second shell. However, according to the above structure, since the edge surface of the first wall is arranged along the second shell, the second shell can be fitted inside the fitting portion without rattling.

[0014] (4) It is preferable that the front end side of the inclined surface portion is narrower in the left-right direction than the rear end side of the inclined surface portion. According to the above configuration, it is possible to achieve a structure in which water is unlikely to enter the gap from the front end side of the inclined surface portion.

[0015] (5) Preferably, the inclined portion is arranged on the wall surface of the first wall at intervals along the left-right direction, the longitudinal portion is arranged between two adjacent inclined portion portions along the left-right direction, and the first wall has a second inclined portion on the wall surface, and the second inclined portion is inclined downward in the left-right direction from the longitudinal portion to the inclined portion. According to the above configuration, water along the surface side can be drained from the second inclined surface portion through the inclined surface portion.

[0016] (6) It is preferred that the second wall is disposed longitudinally along the up-down direction which is the board surface direction of the circuit board and has a vertical dimension larger than the left-right dimension of the first wall. According to the above structure, it is possible to form a structure in which water is not easy to accumulate on the board surface of the circuit board. In addition, since the vertical dimension of the second wall is larger than the horizontal dimension of the first wall, the shielding effect of the second wall can be improved.

[0017] [Details of the embodiments of the present disclosure] Specific examples of the present disclosure are described below with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to these examples, but is shown by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.

[0018] <Implementation method 1> like Figure 1 As shown, the connector 10 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure includes a first housing 20 and a second housing 70 that can be fitted with each other. Figure 2 and Figure 3 As shown in FIG. 1 , the connector 10 includes a first terminal part 21 and a second terminal part 71 mounted on the first housing 20 and the second housing 70, respectively, and a rod 75 mounted on the second housing 70. The first terminal part 21 is connected to the circuit board 100. In the following description, regarding the front-to-back direction, the surface side facing each other when the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 are engaged is the front side. The left-right direction is Figure 2 The left-right direction is used as a reference. The up-down direction is used as a reference for the up-down direction of each figure. In the present embodiment 1, the up-down direction is consistent with the up-down direction when the connector 10 is mounted on a vehicle, etc., and includes a case where it is inclined relative to the vertical direction. In the figure, the symbols "X", "Y" and "Z" represent the front-back direction, the left-right direction and the up-down direction, respectively.

[0019] <Second housing, rod and second terminal parts> The second housing 70 is made of synthetic resin such as Figure 5 As shown in FIG. 1 , the overall shape is a vertically long block that is longer in the vertical direction. The second housing 70 has a plurality of cavities 72 that penetrate in the front-to-back direction. The second terminal parts 71 are inserted into each cavity 72 from the rear of the second housing 70. The second terminal parts 71 are formed integrally by bending a conductive metal plate. Although the details are not shown in the figure, the second terminal parts 71 are female terminal parts, such as Figure 3 As shown, it is connected to the end of the electric wire W. The electric wire W is led out from the cavity 72 to the rear of the second housing 70 .

[0020] like Figure 5 As shown, on the left and right side surfaces ( Figure 5A retainer mounting hole 73 is formed in the right side surface of the cavity 72. A retainer (not shown) is inserted into the retainer mounting hole 73. The retainer locks the second terminal part 71 arranged inside the cavity 72 in a state of preventing it from coming off.

[0021] A cylindrical support shaft 74 is formed protrudingly on one side of the second housing 70 at a position behind the holder mounting hole 73. The support shaft 74 is also formed on the other side of the second housing 70 (the side opposite to the one side) not shown in the figure. The rod 75 is supported by each support shaft 74 in a rotatable manner.

[0022] The rod 75 is made of synthetic resin such as Figure 2 As shown in FIG. 1 , the door-shaped frame has a pair of cam plates 76 facing each other. Figure 3 As shown, each cam plate 76 is formed with a bearing hole 77 for receiving the support shaft 74 and a curved cam groove 78. The cam plate 76 on the other side of each cam plate 76 is formed with an elastically deformable lock arm 79.

[0023] When the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 begin to fit together, the cam pin 34 of the first housing 20, which will be described later, is inserted into the entrance of the cam groove 78. When the lever 75 rotates around the support shaft 74, the cam pin 34 moves along the groove surface of the cam groove 78, and the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 fit together. When the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 are properly fitted together, the lock arm 79 is locked to the lock receiving portion 33 of the first housing 20, which will be described later (see Figure 1 ), the first shell 20 and the second shell 70 are maintained in a fitted state.

[0024] The second housing 70 has an upper surface and a lower surface formed with a fitting groove 81 ( Figure 5 Only the upper fitting groove 81 is shown. The fitting grooves 81 are formed at different positions in the left-right direction on the upper surface and the lower surface of the second housing 70 so as to correspond to fitting ribs described later.

[0025] <First housing and first terminal parts> The first housing 20 is made of synthetic resin, such as Figure 6 As shown, the overall shape is a rectangular box that is long in the vertical direction. The first housing 20 has a pair of upper and lower fitting parts 22 that are open to the front. A partition wall 23 is formed in the upper and lower central parts of the first housing 20 to separate the fitting parts 22. The second housing 70 is provided with two, respectively corresponding to the fitting parts 22, and each fitting part 22 is inserted from the front of the first housing 20 together with the rod 75. In addition, since the upper and lower fitting parts 22 have the same shape, only one fitting part 22 will be described below unless otherwise required.

[0026] When viewed from the front, the fitting portion 22 is defined by the following walls: a first wall 24 located at the lower side of the interior of the fitting portion 22; Figure 6 The second wall 25 on the right side; located on the other side ( Figure 6 The first wall 24 and the fourth wall 27 are opposed to each other in the vertical direction and arranged in the left-right direction. The second wall 25 and the third wall 26 are opposed to each other in the left-right direction and arranged in the vertical direction. The first wall 24 and the second wall 25 are intersecting and adjacent to each other. The partition wall 23 is both the first wall 24 of the fitting portion 22 located on the upper side and the fourth wall 27 of the fitting portion 22 located on the lower side.

[0027] A plurality of first terminal parts 21 are installed through the fifth wall 28. The first terminal parts 21 are made of conductive metal, such as Figure 1 As shown in FIG. 1 , the overall structure is L-shaped, and has a terminal connection portion 29 extending in the front-to-back direction and a substrate connection portion 31 extending in the left-to-right direction. Figure 7 As shown, the front portion of the terminal connection portion 29 protrudes and is arranged inside the fitting portion 22. When the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 are fitted, the front portion of the terminal connection portion 29 is fitted into the second terminal part 71 and connected. The rear portion of the terminal connection portion 29 is exposed and arranged behind the first housing 20. The substrate connection portion 31 is in a shape extending from the rear end of the terminal connection portion 29 to the left and right sides where the second wall is located behind the first housing 20. The left and right ends of the substrate connection portion 31 are connected to the circuit substrate 100.

[0028] The circuit substrate 100 is a rigid printed circuit board, and the board surface is arranged in the vertical direction. The board surface of the circuit substrate 100 is parallel to and opposite to the outer surface of the second wall 25. Figure 7 As shown, a flange portion 32 for defining the front end position of the circuit substrate 100 is protruded from the outer surface of the second wall 25. The flange portion 32 is in the shape of a rib extending in the up-down direction at the front end of the second wall 25. The front portion of the circuit substrate 100 is arranged behind the flange portion 32 along the outer surface of the second wall 25.

[0029] like Figure 7 As shown, the second wall 25 is a blocking wall that shields (blocks) the inside of each fitting part 22 and the circuit substrate 100, and has no holes or openings. The third wall 26 is formed with a locking receiving part 33 through each fitting part 22. The locking receiving part 33 is opened in a rectangular shape on the inner surface and the outer surface of the third wall 26.

[0030] like Figure 6As shown, the second wall 25 and the third wall 26 are provided with a pair of cam pins 34 at mutually opposed positions at the upper and lower central portions of the fitting portion 22. Each cam pin 34 is cylindrical. Figure 3 As shown, it can be inserted into the cam groove 78 of the rod 75. Figure 6 As shown in the figure, a pair of left and right partition walls 35 are formed on the fifth wall 28, and the pair of left and right partition walls 35 protrude into the interior of the fitting portion 22. Each partition wall 35 is arranged parallel to the second wall 25 and the third wall 26 at a position closer to the left and right center than each cam pin 34, with the plate surface facing the left and right direction. Each partition wall 35 prevents the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 from warping and fitting, and protects the terminal connection portion 29 of the first terminal part 21.

[0031] The inner surfaces of the first wall 24 and the fourth wall 27 are respectively formed with a fitting rib 36 extending in the front-rear direction and connected to the fifth wall 28 at the rear end. Figure 6 As shown, the positions of the fitting ribs 36 formed in the left-right direction of the inner surfaces of the first wall 24 and the fourth wall 27 are different from each other. When the second housing 70 is inserted into the fitting portion 22 in a normal posture, the fitting ribs 36 are fitted into the fitting grooves 81, and the fitting action of the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 is performed. On the other hand, when the second housing 70 is inserted into the fitting portion 22 in an upside-down posture, the fitting ribs 36 interfere with the first housing 20, and the fitting action of the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 is restricted.

[0032] like Figure 8 As shown, the inner surface (wall surface) of the first wall 24 facing the inside of the fitting portion 22 has a plurality of inclined portions 37, 38 that are inclined downward as they move forward. Each inclined portion 37, 38 is formed over the entire length of the inner surface of the first wall 24 in the front-to-back direction (see Figure 4 ). The rear end of each inclined surface 37, 38 intersects with the fifth wall 28 at the inner end of the fitting portion 22, and the front end of each inclined surface 37, 38 is located at the open end of the fitting portion 22. Each inclined surface 37, 38 is inclined at a certain angle from the rear end to the front end of the first wall 24. In addition, as Figure 8 As shown, the dimension of each inclined surface portion 37, 38 in the left-right direction (hereinafter referred to as "width dimension") gradually decreases from the rear end to the front end.

[0033] In the first embodiment, each inclined surface 37, 38 is formed on the inner surface of the first wall 24 by the following structure: Figure 8 and the other side ( Figure 8 The width dimension of the one side inclined surface 37 is larger than the width dimension of the other side inclined surface 38 as a whole.

[0034] In addition, if Figure 8As shown, the first wall 24 is formed with flat edge surfaces 39, 41 along the front-back direction and the left-right direction between the one side inclined surface 37 and the other side inclined surface 38, between the one side inclined surface 37 and the second wall 25, and between the other side inclined surface 38 and the third wall 26, respectively. The edge surface 39 on the central side disposed between the one side inclined surface 37 and the other side inclined surface 38 is provided with a protruding engagement rib 36. The width dimension of the edge surface 39 on the central side is larger than the width dimension of each edge surface 41 on the end side. Contrary to each inclined surface 37, 38, the width dimension of each edge surface 39, 41 gradually decreases from the rear end to the front end.

[0035] Furthermore, the first wall 24 has a plurality of second inclined surface portions 42 formed between the adjacent edge surface portions 39, 41 and the inclined surface portions 37, 38 in the left-right direction, respectively, and the plurality of second inclined surface portions 42 are formed downwardly in the left-right direction from the edge surface portions 39, 41 to the inclined surface portions 37, 38. The second inclined surface portions 42 are formed on both left and right sides of the inclined surface portion 37 on one side and on both left and right sides of the inclined surface portion 38 on the other side.

[0036] <Function of Connectors> The second housing 70 is fitted into the fitting portion 22 of the first housing 20 by the rotation operation of the lever 75. Although not shown in detail, when the lock arm 79 is locked in the lock receiving portion 33 and the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 are properly fitted, the lock arm 79 is locked in the lock receiving portion 33 and the first housing 20 and the second housing 70 are properly fitted, except for the release operation portion 82 on the rear end side (see FIG. Figure 1 ), each cam plate 76 of the lever 75 is respectively accommodated between the partition wall 35 and the second wall 25 on one side of the left and right sides, and between the partition wall 35 and the third wall 26 on the other side of the left and right sides.

[0037] like Figure 2 As shown, the upper surface of the second housing 70 is arranged along the inner surface of the fourth wall 27, and the upper portion of the plate surface of each cam plate 76 is arranged along the upper portion of the inner surface of each of the second wall 25 and the third wall 26. The lower portion of the plate surface of each cam plate 76 and the lower portion of the inner surface of each of the second wall 25 and the third wall 26 are arranged opposite to each other with a gap (distance) larger than that between their upper portions.

[0038] In addition, the portion of the lower surface of the second housing 70 close to the other left and right sides is arranged along the central side edge surface 39. The other left and right side ends of the lower surface of the second housing 70 are arranged opposite to the other side inclined surface 38 with a gap therebetween. The left and right side portions of the lower surface of the second housing 70 are arranged opposite to the one side inclined surface 37 with a gap therebetween.

[0039] like Figure 4 As shown, the lower surface of the second housing 70 and the inclined surface portions 37, 38 ( Figure 4The gap between the inclined surface portion 37) is configured such that the height G1 on the front end side is greater than the height G2 on the rear end side, and the drainage path 60 is configured such that the interval gradually increases from the height G2 to the height G1.

[0040] When the connector 10 is mounted on a vehicle or the like, water may sometimes penetrate into the interior of the connector 10, and transfer between the inner surface of the fitting portion 22 of the first housing 20 and the outer surface of the second housing 70, and finally reach the inner surface of the first wall 24. In the first embodiment, the water that penetrates into the interior of the connector can fall along the inclined surface portions 37 and 38 to the drainage path 60, and drain downward from the front end of the first wall 24. In addition, the water can fall along the second inclined surface portion 42 from the side of the edge portions 39 and 41, and further drain from the front end of the first wall 24 through the inclined surface portions 37 and 38. Therefore, it is possible to prevent water from remaining in the fitting portion 22. In addition, since the water falls downward from the front end of the first wall 24 as it is, it is possible to prevent the water from contacting the circuit substrate 100 disposed on the board surface of the second wall 25 adjacent to the left and right sides of the first wall 24 with high reliability.

[0041] As described above, according to the first embodiment, water that has entered the connector 10 can be prevented from bypassing the circuit board 100. In particular, in the first embodiment, since waterproof components such as rubber plugs are not provided in the connector 10, a simple waterproof connector 10 can be provided that reduces the number of parts, simplifies the structure, and avoids enlargement.

[0042] Furthermore, in the first embodiment, the inclined surfaces 37 and 38 are formed on the inner surface of the first wall 24 along the entire length in the front-rear direction. Therefore, even if water enters deep inside the fitting portion 22 , it can be drained through the rear ends of the inclined surfaces 37 and 38 via the front ends.

[0043] Furthermore, although a gap is formed between the inner surface of the first wall 24 of the first shell 20 and the outer surface of the second shell 70, since the outer surface of the second shell 70 is arranged along the edge portion 39 of the first wall 24, the second shell 70 can be fitted into the interior of the fitting portion 22 without shaking.

[0044] In the first embodiment, since the width of the front end side of the inclined surface portions 37 and 38 is smaller than the width of the rear end side, it is possible to form a structure in which water is unlikely to enter the gap from the front end side of the inclined surface portions 37 and 38 .

[0045] Furthermore, since the edge surface 39 on the central side is arranged between the one side inclined surface 37 and the other side inclined surface 38 adjacent to each other in the left-right direction, and a second inclined surface 42 is formed on the inner surface of the first wall 24 to tilt downward in the left-right direction from the edge surface 39 to the one side inclined surface 37 and the other side inclined surface 38, water on the side of the edge surface 39 can be drained from the second inclined surface 42 through the inclined surfaces 37, 38.

[0046] Furthermore, in the first embodiment, the circuit substrate 100 itself is arranged in a longitudinal posture with the board surface along the vertical direction, so that water is not easily retained on the board surface of the circuit substrate 100. Furthermore, since the vertical dimension of the second wall 25 is larger than the horizontal dimension of the first wall 24, the shielding effect of the second wall 25 can be improved.

[0047] [Other embodiments of the present disclosure] The embodiments disclosed herein should be considered in all respects to be illustrative and non-restrictive. In the above-mentioned first embodiment, a plurality of inclined portions are formed on the inner surface of the first wall. In contrast, according to other embodiments, only one inclined portion may be formed on the inner surface of the first wall. In addition, three or more inclined portions may be formed on the inner surface of the first wall at intervals in the left-right direction. Furthermore, the inclined portion may be formed at the ends of the left and right sides of the inner surface of the first wall, or may be formed at the left and right center sides. In the first embodiment, the second wall is formed as a portion between the shielding inclined surface and the circuit substrate. In contrast, according to other embodiments, the wall between the shielding inclined surface and the circuit substrate in the fitting portion, which intersects and is adjacent to the first wall, may be formed as the second wall. If the third wall or the fifth wall in the first embodiment is a blocking wall disposed on the side opposite to the board surface of the circuit substrate, such a third wall or the fifth wall may also be formed as the second wall of the present disclosure.
