Abstract

The invention discloses a fully pumped zero-heat solid-state laser. A pump light source pumps a gain crystal and generates laser light which is incident on a first plane mirror, reflected by the firstplane mirror, modulated by a loss modulating module, incident on the second plane mirror, reflected by the second plane mirror, returns to the gain crystal after being reflected by the second plane mirror, and then reflected to the first plane mirror after gain by the gain crystal to form a ring resonant cavity. The direction of laser reflected by the gain crystal is the same as that of the laseremitted from the gain crystal. An optical isolator is disposed at any position in the optical path for ensuring unidirectional transmission of laser light in the ring resonator; when the injection power reaches the threshold, the gain crystal starts to generate heat. When the zero-generation hot spot is reached, the loss modulation module synchronously adjusts the loss in the ring resonator, so that the hot spot of the gain crystal is always in the zero state. The invention realizes zero heat generation of the laser medium in the full pump power density range.

Description

technical field

[0001] The invention relates to the field of laser technology, more specifically, to a solid-state laser with zero heat generation in the whole pumping range. Background technique

[0002] During the operation of solid-state lasers, a large amount of waste heat will be generated due to the existence of quantum deficits, which will increase the temperature of the gain medium and increase the thermal stress, which will eventually lead to a decrease in the quality of the output laser beam and limit the maximum output power density. With the continuous increase of laser power, more and more attention has been paid to solving the problem of laser heat generation. Starting from the laser structure and heat dissipation methods, there have been disk lasers, slab lasers, fiber lasers, etc. Their unique structures have improved the heat dissipation capacity of the laser gain medium and effectively reduced the impact of thermal effects on the operating characteristics o...
