[0056] Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of an energy storage system according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0057] Reference Figure 1 , the energy storage system according to this embodiment includes a rack frame 100 , a sub-frame 200 , a guide rail 300 , a fire extinguishing pipe 400 , a heat detection member 500 , and a first anti-separation member 600 .

[0058] The rack frame 100 is provided with a space capable of accommodating the battery module B therein. According to this embodiment, the rack frame 100 may have a hollow box or frame shape. The rack frame 100 may be provided in a building, a container, a housing, etc. The rack frame 100 may be formed of a material having high hardness such as steel, etc. to prevent damage due to a load applied from the battery module B. Although Figure 1 The stent frame 100 is shown to have a parallelepiped shape, but it should be understood that the stent frame 100 may be modified into various shapes, including a polyhedral shape, a cylindrical shape, and the like.

[0059] The battery module B stores electricity through charge / discharge operations, or supplies the stored electricity to an external electronic device (not shown). The battery module B may include a substantially box-shaped module housing, a plurality of battery cells disposed within the module housing, and a cooling plate through which a coolant flows to cool the battery cells. The battery cells may be pouch-type secondary cells, prismatic secondary cells, or cylindrical secondary cells.

[0060] The battery module B may be provided in plurality. A plurality of battery modules B may be stacked in the vertical direction within the support frame 100. Figure 1, the plurality of battery modules B may be spaced apart from each other in the Z-axis direction. In addition, the plurality of battery modules B may be arranged in a plurality of rows in the horizontal direction. That is, the plurality of battery modules B may be arranged in a plurality of rows in the horizontal direction. Figure 1 Arranged into multiple rows in the Y-axis direction.

[0061] The sub-frame 200 is fixed to the rack frame 100 and disposed to face the battery module B. The sub-frame 200 may be used to support the battery module B and a fire extinguishing duct 400 (described later) within the rack frame 100 .

[0062] Figure 2 is a schematic perspective view of a subframe and a guide rail according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Figure 3 is another schematic perspective view of the sub-frame and the guide rail according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0063] Reference Figures 1 to 3 , the subframe 200 according to this embodiment may have a substantially flat plate shape. The subframe 200 may be provided in plurality. Each of the plurality of subframes 200 may be disposed between a pair of battery modules B spaced apart in the vertical direction. With reference to any one battery module B, the plurality of subframes 200 may be symmetrically disposed on both sides of the battery module B in the width direction of the battery module B. Here, the width direction of the battery module B may represent the width direction of the battery module B with reference to FIG. Figure 1 The direction parallel to the Y-axis direction.

[0064] The lower surface of the sub-frame 200 disposed between a pair of battery modules B adjacent to each other in the vertical direction may be spaced apart from the upper surface of the battery module B disposed on the lower side. In addition, the upper surface of the sub-frame 200 disposed between the pair of battery modules B adjacent to each other in the vertical direction may contact the lower surface of the battery module B disposed on the upper side. Therefore, each battery module B may be supported within the rack frame 100 with its lower surface seated on the sub-frame 200, and a space on its upper surface to which the fire extinguishing liquid ejected from the fire extinguishing pipe 400 described below can be delivered may be ensured.

[0065] The guide rail 300 provides a space on the subframe 200 in which the fire extinguishing duct 400 can be accommodated. The guide rail 300 according to this embodiment may be concavely formed on the upper surface of the subframe 200. The guide rail 300 may be provided to have a longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the battery module B. Here, the longitudinal direction of the battery module B may refer to the longitudinal direction of the battery module B. Figure 1 The direction parallel to the X-axis direction.

[0066] The guide rail 300 may be formed at its upper surface with an open surface 301, through which the inner space of the guide rail 300 is connected to its outer space. Therefore, the guide rail 300 may have a cross section surrounded by a pair of side surfaces, a bottom surface, and the open surface 301. Figure 2 The guide rail 300 is shown to have a substantially rectangular cross-section, but it should be understood that the guide rail 300 is not limited thereto and may be modified into various shapes, including a trapezoidal shape, a triangular shape, a semicircular shape, and the like.

[0067] The lower surface of the guide rail 300 may be spaced apart from the upper surface of the battery module B by a predetermined distance to face the upper surface of the battery module B. The guide rail 300 may be formed with a plurality of through holes 302 in its lower surface. The through holes 302 may be formed vertically through the lower surface of the guide rail 300. Each through hole 302 may be disposed at a position facing a vent hole (not shown) of each battery cell in the battery module B.

[0068] The fire extinguishing pipe 400 is disposed in the guide rail 300 and conveys the fire extinguishing liquid.

[0069] Figure 4 is a schematic perspective view of a fire extinguishing pipe and a heat detection member according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Figure 5 is another schematic perspective view of a fire extinguishing duct and a heat detecting member according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0070] Reference Figures 1 to 5 , the fire extinguishing pipe 400 according to this embodiment may have a hollow pipe shape. The fire extinguishing pipe 400 may receive the fire extinguishing liquid supplied from the outside of the support frame 100 via a separate hose, pipe, etc. Figures 2 to 5 The fire extinguishing duct 400 is shown as having a circular cross-sectional shape, but it should be understood that the fire extinguishing duct 400 may have a variety of cross-sectional shapes.

[0071] The fire extinguishing duct 400 may be provided to have a longitudinal direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300. The fire extinguishing duct 400 may have a smaller cross-sectional area than the guide rail 300. The fire extinguishing duct 400 may be inserted into the inner space of the guide rail 300 through the open surface 301 in a first direction from the outside of the subframe 200. Here, the first direction may refer to a direction parallel to the Z-axis direction among directions from the open surface 301 toward the inside of the guide rail 300. The fire extinguishing duct 400 may be slidably moved in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300 in a state inserted into the guide rail 300.

[0072] The fire extinguishing pipe 400 may be provided in plural. The plural fire extinguishing pipes 400 may be respectively disposed in the guide rail 300.

[0073] The fire extinguishing pipe 400 may be formed with a spray hole 401 through which the fire extinguishing liquid is sprayed from the fire extinguishing pipe 400 to the outside of the fire extinguishing pipe 400. The spray hole 401 may be provided in plurality. The plurality of spray holes 401 may be spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the fire extinguishing pipe 400. When the fire extinguishing pipe 400 is inserted into the guide rail 300, the spray holes 401 may be arranged to face the through holes 302, respectively.

[0074] The heat detection member 500 is provided to surround the fire extinguishing pipe 400 and opens or closes the spray hole 410 in accordance with a temperature change.

[0075] According to this embodiment, the heat detection member 500 may be formed to surround the entire peripheral surface of the fire extinguishing pipe 400. The cross-sectional shape of the heat detection member 500 is not limited to Figure 4 and Figure 5 The heat detection member 500 is a shape shown in FIG. 4 and may be modified to various cross-sectional shapes as long as the heat detection member 500 can surround the peripheral surface of the fire extinguishing pipe 400. The heat detection member 500 may have a smaller cross-sectional area than the guide rail 300. Therefore, the heat detection member 500 may guide the fire extinguishing pipe 400 to be smoothly inserted into the guide rail 300.

[0076] The heat detection member 500 may be provided in plurality. The plurality of heat detection members 500 may be spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the fire extinguishing pipe 400. Each heat detection member 500 may be arranged to face a different injection hole 401. Therefore, the heat detection member 500 may limit the injection of the fire extinguishing liquid from the injection hole 401 within a normal temperature range.

[0077] When heated to a preset temperature or higher, the heat detection member 500 may melt and open the injection hole 401. Therefore, in the event of a fire, the heat detection member 500 may open the injection hole 401 to cause the fire extinguishing liquid transported along the fire extinguishing pipe 400 to be sprayed onto the upper surface of the battery module B through the injection hole 401 and the through hole 302. For example, the heat detection member 500 may melt in the range of 80 degrees Celsius to 250 degrees Celsius. Here, 80 degrees Celsius may be the temperature at which the heat detection member 500 begins to melt, and 250 degrees Celsius may be the temperature at which the heat detection member 500 is completely melted. The heat detection member 500 may be formed of a resin material such as ABS, PP, PC, PE, PFA, etc.

[0078] When the fire extinguishing pipe 400 is inserted into the guide rail 300, a flat placement surface 501 may be formed on one surface or an upper surface of the heat detection member 500 facing the open surface 301. The placement surface 501 may be arranged parallel to the open surface 301 to face the open surface 301. The placement surface 501 may be provided as a pair of placement surfaces. The pair of placement surfaces 501 may be respectively arranged on both sides of the heat detection member 500 in the width direction thereof.

[0079] The film 502 may be formed on the other side or lower surface of the heat detection member 500 facing the injection hole 401. The film 502 may have a thickness smaller than the remaining area of the heat detection member 500. For example, assuming that the area of the heat detection member 500 around the film 502 has a thickness of 1 mm, the film 502 may have a thickness of 0.3 mm to 0.6 mm or 0.2 mm to 0.9 mm. Therefore, when heat is applied to the heat detection member 500, the film 502 may melt faster than the remaining area of the heat detection member 500 to allow the injection hole 401 to open quickly.

[0080] The first anti-detachment member 600 is disposed between the guide rail 300 and the heat detection member 500 and prevents the fire extinguishing pipe 400 from detaching from the guide rail 300. In addition, the first anti-detachment member 600 can limit the fire extinguishing pipe 400 from rotating around its central axis within the guide rail 300. Therefore, the first anti-detachment member 600 can prevent the fire extinguishing pipe 400 from deviating from the correct position and changing the injection direction of the injection hole 401, and can prevent the fire extinguishing pipe 400 from being damaged due to interference with the battery module B.

[0081] Figure 6 is a schematic perspective view of a first anti-separation member according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Figure 7 is a schematic exploded perspective view of a first anti-separation member according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Figure 8 is a schematic plan view of a first anti-separation member according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig. 9 is a schematic front view of a first separation prevention member according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0082] Reference Figures 6 to 9 , the first anti-separation member 600 according to this embodiment may include a slit 610 and a stopper 620 .

[0083] The slit 610 is formed through the guide rail 300. The slit 610 may be provided in plural. The slits 610 may be symmetrically disposed on both sides of the guide rail 300 in the width direction of the guide rail 300. The slits 610 may be arranged in plural rows in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300.

[0084] According to this embodiment, the slit 610 may include a first slit 611 and a second slit 612 .

[0085] The first slit 611 may form an appearance of one side of the slit 610 and may extend in the first direction. According to this embodiment, the first slit 611 may be formed in the width direction of the guide rail 300 (that is, in the direction relative to the reference slit 610). Figure 7The first slit 611 may be provided with a direction parallel to the first direction (ie, the Y-axis direction of the reference Figure 7 The longitudinal direction is the Z-axis direction.

[0086] The first slit 611 may include a first end 611 b connected to a second slit 612 described below and a second end 611 a located at an opposite side of the first end 611 b .

[0087] The first end 611b and the second end 611a may be spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the first slit 611. The first end 611b may be disposed on a side surface of the guide rail 300 and may penetrate the side surface of the guide rail 300 in the Y-axis direction. The second end 611a may be located on the sub-frame 200 and may penetrate the upper surface of the sub-frame 200 in the Z-axis direction. That is, the first slit 611 may extend so that an area between the first end 611b and the second end 611a intersects a boundary area between the sub-frame 200 and the guide rail 300. Therefore, the stopper 620 may enter the first slit 611 in the first direction through the second end 611a.

[0088] The second slit 612 may be connected to the first slit 611 and extend in a direction intersecting the first direction. According to this embodiment, the second slit 612 may penetrate the side surface of the guide rail 300 in the width direction of the guide rail 300 (that is, in a direction parallel to the Y-axis direction). The second slit 612 may be provided to have a longitudinal direction intersecting the first direction (that is, the longitudinal direction of the first slit 611). For example, the second slit 612 may be provided so that the longitudinal direction of the second slit 612 is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300, such as Figure 7 The second slit 612 may be connected to the first end 611b of the first slit 611 at one end thereof.

[0089] The second slit 612 may have a smaller width than the first slit 611. Therefore, the second slit 612 may further reduce the rotation range of the fire extinguishing duct 400 around the central axis thereof.

[0090] The stopper 620 protrudes from the heat sensing member 500 toward the slit 610 and is inserted into the slit 610. According to this embodiment, the stopper 620 may have a columnar shape protruding from the outer surface of the heat sensing member 500. Figure 7 A stopper having a circular cross-section is shown, but it should be understood that the cross-sectional shape of the stopper 620 may be modified into various shapes.

[0091] The stopper 620 may protrude from the heat detection member 500 in a direction intersecting the first direction. For example, the stopper 620 may be provided to have a longitudinal direction parallel to the width direction (that is, the Y-axis direction) of the heat detection member 500. The width of the stopper 620 may be smaller than the width of the slit 610, more specifically, smaller than the width of the first slit 611 and the second slit 612. Therefore, when the fire extinguishing pipe 400 is inserted into the guide rail 300, the stopper 620 may be inserted into the slit 610.

[0092] The stopper 620 may be provided in plurality. The plurality of stoppers 620 may be symmetrically disposed on both sides of the heat detection member 500 in the width direction of the heat detection member 500. Figure 7 As shown, the stopper 620 may be formed as a pair of stoppers that may protrude in different directions from both sides of the heat detection member 500 in its width direction. In this case, the stopper 620 may be inserted into a pair of slits 610 provided on both sides of the guide rail 300, respectively.

[0093] The energy storage system according to this embodiment may further include a second anti-separation member 700 .

[0094] The second anti-detachment member 700 is disposed outside the guide rail 300 to face the heat detection member 500. When the function of the first anti-detachment member 600 is lost due to damage of the stopper 620, etc., the second anti-detachment member 700 can be used to secondarily prevent the fire extinguishing pipe 400 from detaching from the guide rail 300.

[0095] According to this embodiment, the second anti-separation member 700 may be connected to the sub-frame 200 at one end thereof. The other end of the second anti-separation member 700 may extend from the sub-frame 200 in a direction intersecting the first direction. For example, the second anti-separation member 700 may extend from the sub-frame 200 in a direction parallel to the width direction of the guide rail 300.

[0096] The second anti-detachment member 700 may be disposed outside the guide rail 300 to face the inner space of the guide rail 300 in the first direction. That is, the second anti-detachment member 700 may be disposed to face the open surface 301 up and down. The second anti-detachment member 700 may be separated from the open surface 301 by a predetermined distance. When the fire extinguishing pipe 400 is inserted into the guide rail 300, the second anti-detachment member 700 may be disposed to face the placement surface 501 of the heat detection member 500. When the fire extinguishing pipe 400 is detached from the guide rail 300 in the direction opposite to the first direction by an external force, the second anti-detachment member 700 may contact the placement surface 501 to prevent the fire extinguishing pipe 400 from detaching.

[0097] The second anti-detachment member 700 may be provided in plurality. The plurality of second anti-detachment members 700 may be symmetrically disposed on both sides of the guide rail 300. In addition, the plurality of second anti-detachment members 700 may be arranged in a plurality of rows in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300. The second anti-detachment member 700 may be spaced apart from the first anti-detachment member 600 in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300. When the stopper 620 is inserted into the first slit 611 in the first direction, the second anti-detachment member 700 may be disposed so as not to contact the fire extinguishing pipe 400 and the heat detection member 500.

[0098] Figures 10 to 12 is a schematic diagram showing a process of assembling a fire extinguishing pipe to a guide rail in an energy storage system according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig.13 It shows that when external force is applied to Fig.12 A view of the state of the fire extinguishing pipe in the fire extinguishing pipeline.

[0099] Reference Figures 10 to 12 , the fire extinguishing duct 400 moves in the first direction while being disposed to face the open surface 301 of the guide rail 300. In this case, the stopper 620 and the second end 611a of the slit 610 may be maintained to face each other in the first direction.

[0100] When the fire extinguishing pipe 400 moves in the first direction by a preset distance or more, the stopper 620 enters the first slit 611 through the second end 611 a .

[0101] Thereafter, the stopper 620 moves toward the first end 611 b in the longitudinal direction of the first slit 611 , and is located at the first end 611 b when the fire extinguishing duct 400 is fully inserted into the guide rail 300 .

[0102] Thereafter, the fire extinguishing duct 400 slidably moves in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300 , and the stopper 620 enters the second slit 612 through the first end 611 b .

[0103] When the stopper 620 contacts one end of the second slit 612 , the movement of the fire extinguishing duct 400 stops.

[0104] Reference Fig.13 , when a rotational force or a torsional load is applied to the fire extinguishing duct 400 with the stopper 620 inserted into the second slit 612 , the stopper 620 contacts the inner surface of the second slit 612 .

[0105] The reaction force between the stopper 620 and the inner surface of the second slit 612 counteracts the rotational force applied to the fire extinguishing duct 400, and the fire extinguishing duct 400 can maintain its initial angle without rotating about its central axis.

[0106] Furthermore, when external force is applied to the fire extinguishing duct 400 in a direction opposite to the first direction with the stopper 620 inserted into the second slit 612 , the stopper 620 contacts the inner surface of the second slit 612 .

[0107] The reaction force between the stopper 620 and the inner surface of the second slit 612 counteracts the external force applied to the fire extinguishing duct 400, and the fire extinguishing duct 400 can maintain its original position without moving in the direction opposite to the first direction.

[0108] When the fire extinguishing duct 400 moves in the direction opposite to the first direction due to damage of the stopper 620 , the second anti-detachment member 700 may contact the seating surface 501 of the heat detecting member 500 to secondarily prevent the fire extinguishing duct 400 from detaching from the guide rail 300 .

[0109] Hereinafter, an energy storage system according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure will be described.

[0110] The energy storage system according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure may include a rack frame 100 , a sub-frame 200 , a guide rail 300 , a fire extinguishing pipe 400 , a heat detecting member 500 , a first anti-detachment member 600 , and a second anti-detachment member 700 .

[0111] The energy storage system according to the second embodiment may be different from the energy storage system according to the first embodiment only in the detailed configuration of the first separation prevention member 600 .

The groove 630 may have a length smaller than that of the heat detection member 500. In this case, one end of the groove 630 may penetrate one end of the heat detection member 500 in the longitudinal direction of the heat detection member 500. Therefore, the one end of the groove 630 may be open in the longitudinal direction of the heat detection member 500, and the other end of the groove 630 may be closed in the longitudinal direction of the heat detection member 500.

[0118] The groove 630 may be provided in plurality. The plurality of grooves 630 may be symmetrically arranged on both sides of the heat detection member 500 in the width direction of the heat detection member 500. Fig.14 As shown, the groove 630 may be formed as a pair of grooves and may be recessed from both sides of the heat sensing member 500 to face each other in a width direction thereof.

[0119] The stopper 640 may protrude from the side surface of the guide rail 300 toward the inner space of the guide rail 300. More specifically, the stopper 640 may be provided in the width direction of the guide rail 300 (that is, in the direction of the reference Figure 1 The stopper 640 protrudes from the side surface of the guide rail 300 in a direction parallel to the Y-axis direction of the guide rail 300. The stopper 640 may have a smaller width than the groove 630. Therefore, when the fire extinguishing pipe 400 is inserted into the guide rail 300, the stopper 640 may be inserted into the groove 630.

[0120] The stopper 640 may be provided in plural. The plurality of stoppers 640 may be symmetrically disposed on both sides of the guide rail 300 in the width direction of the guide rail 300. The plurality of stoppers 640 may be arranged in a plurality of rows in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300.

[0122] Reference Figures 10 to 12 , the fire extinguishing duct 400 moves in the first direction while being arranged to face the open surface 301 of the guide rail 300. In this case, one end of the groove 630 and the stopper 640 may keep alternating with each other in a cross direction relative to the first direction.

[0123] When the fire extinguishing duct 400 is completely inserted into the guide rail 300 , the one end of the groove 630 and the stopper 640 are disposed to face each other in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300 .

[0124] Thereafter, the fire extinguishing duct 400 is slidably moved in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300 , and the stopper 640 is inserted into the groove 630 through the one end of the groove 630 .

[0125] When the fire extinguishing duct 400 moves a preset distance or more in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 300 , the stopper 640 contacts the other end of the groove 630 , and the sliding movement of the fire extinguishing duct 400 stops.

[0126] Reference Fig.19 , when a rotational force or a torsional load is applied to the fire extinguishing duct 400 with the stopper 640 inserted into the groove 630 , the stopper 640 contacts the inner surface of the groove 630 .

[0127] The reaction force between the stopper 640 and the inner surface of the groove 630 counteracts the rotational force applied to the fire extinguishing duct 400, and the fire extinguishing duct 400 can maintain its original angle without rotating about its central axis.

[0128] Furthermore, when external force is applied to the fire extinguishing duct 400 in a direction opposite to the first direction with the stopper 640 inserted into the groove 630 , the stopper 640 contacts the inner surface of the groove 630 .

[0129] The reaction force between the stopper 640 and the inner surface of the groove 630 counteracts the external force applied to the fire extinguishing duct 400, and the fire extinguishing duct 400 can maintain its original position without moving in the direction opposite to the first direction.

[0130] When the fire extinguishing duct 400 moves in the direction opposite to the first direction due to damage of the stopper 640 , the second anti-detachment member 700 may contact the seating surface 501 of the heat detecting member 500 to secondarily prevent the fire extinguishing duct 400 from detaching from the guide rail 300 .
