[0033] The embodiment of the present application provides a computing device, which may include at least one server, the server includes a chassis, a fan unit and a circuit board, the fan unit and the circuit board are arranged in the chassis; wherein, a drive control circuit is arranged on the circuit board, the fan unit includes a fan assembly, the drive control circuit is connected to the motor of the fan assembly, the drive control circuit is used to control the speed of the fan assembly, and the chassis includes an opening, through which the circuit board can be plugged in and out relative to the chassis. In this way, based on the structural characteristics of the circuit board configured with the drive control circuit, which can be plugged in and out relative to the chassis, usually, the failure of the fan unit is mostly a drive circuit failure, and the possibility of the mechanical failure of the fan is relatively small. When the electronic components of the drive control circuit are damaged or fail, the circuit board can be pulled out through the chassis opening, and the circuit board can be reinserted into the chassis after the overhaul is completed quickly, or the new circuit board can be inserted into the chassis, and the overhaul and maintenance can be completed without opening the cover. In addition, the man-hours generated by operation and maintenance, as well as the material cost of replacing the fan unit, can be reduced, and the operation and maintenance costs can be effectively controlled.

[0034] It should be noted that at least one in the full text includes one or more, wherein a plurality means two or more.

[0035] In order to better understand the technical solution and technical effects of the present application, without losing generality, the specific embodiments will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Figure 1 , which is a schematic diagram of a server provided in an embodiment of the present application. In order to clearly illustrate the internal layout of the server, Figure 1 The upper cover portion of the server chassis is not shown.

[0036] like Figure 1 As shown, a fan unit 1 is provided in the chassis 4 of the server 10. The heat dissipation airflow formed after the fan unit 1 is started can remove the heat generated by the power devices in the chassis 4 to ensure the stable operation of the power devices.

[0037] In a specific implementation, the specific configuration type and quantity of the power device can be determined according to the overall design of the product. For the power device set on the mainboard 2, for example, but not limited to, it can be a processor 3 and a memory stick (not shown in the figure) and other devices; for the power device not set on the mainboard 2, for example, but not limited to, it can be other boards or power modules and other devices. This embodiment of the application is not limited.

[0038] The fan unit 1 includes a fan frame 11 and a fan assembly 12 disposed on the fan frame 11. Figure 2 and Figure 3 ,in, Figure 2 This is a schematic diagram of the overall structure of a fan unit provided in an embodiment of the present application. Figure 3 for Figure 2A schematic diagram of a control architecture of a fan unit is shown in FIG.

[0039] like Figure 2 As shown, each fan assembly 12 is arranged at intervals on the fan frame 11, so as to be enabled according to the heat dissipation requirements during the operation of the server, and is supplemented with corresponding speed control according to the actual heat dissipation requirements of the device. The fan assembly 12 includes an impeller 121 and a motor 122, the stator of the motor 122 is fixedly arranged on the fan frame 11, the rotor of the motor 122 can be rotatably arranged on the fan frame 11 through a bearing, and the impeller 121 is fixedly arranged on the rotor of the motor 122. Therefore, according to the control instruction output by the drive control circuit, the output speed of the motor 122 is adjusted to realize the control of the corresponding fan speed.

[0040] In other possible implementations, each fan assembly 12 may also be independently installed in the chassis (not shown in the figure). In comparison, each fan assembly 12 is integrated on the fan frame 11 to form a modular fan unit 1, which is convenient for rapid assembly and maintenance and has good operability. This embodiment of the application is not limited.

[0041] like Figure 3 As shown, the fan frame 11 may be provided with an interface terminal 13 corresponding to a plurality of fan assemblies 12, and the interface terminal 13 is a control terminal of the fan assembly 12. The drive control circuit for controlling each fan assembly 12 is arranged outside the fan unit 1, that is, it is arranged independently of the fan unit 1. In this embodiment, the drive control circuit is arranged on the drive control board 5, and the drive control circuit may include a control chip, a signal acquisition module, a full-bridge drive circuit, and a feedback protection circuit, etc., to control the fan unit to operate efficiently and stably. Based on the configuration of the drive control board 5, it is more convenient to carry out maintenance, and the impact on other businesses during inspection and maintenance is smaller.

[0042] Among them, a drive control board 5 with a drive control circuit is provided, and the drive control board 5 is connected to the BMC board through the main board 2, and can be specifically connected to the main control circuit on the side of the main board 2, so as to form a power supply link and a communication link. Based on the power supply link, power is provided for the operation of the fan unit 1, and based on the communication link, a management control signal is provided for the specific management implementation of the start and stop and speed control of the fan unit 1. In addition, the drive control board 5 with a drive control circuit can also be directly connected to the BMC board. The embodiments of the present application are not limited.

[0043] In a specific implementation, the opening for arranging the drive control board 5 can be opened on the front side panel of the chassis 4, or can also be opened on the rear side panel of the chassis. Figure 4 , which is a schematic diagram of a panel layout provided in an embodiment of the present application.

[0044] like Figure 4As shown, the panel 41 is provided with an opening 411 for plugging in or out the drive control board 5. Based on the opening 411 on the panel 41, the drive control board 5 can be plugged in or out. Figure 4 The panel 41 shown in the figure is also provided with an input / output (I / O) interface area 412 and a power interface area 413. According to the overall design requirements of the product, the chassis panel 41 may also be provided with other functional configurations, which are not limited in the embodiment of the present application.

[0045] Figure 4 The panel 41 of the layout shown in the figure may be the front panel of the chassis 4 or the rear panel of the chassis 4 .

[0046] Combination Figure 3 and Figure 4 As shown, optionally, there are multiple drive control boards 5, each drive control board 5 is arranged in a one-to-one correspondence with the fan assembly 12, and each drive control board 5 can be respectively connected to the interface terminal 13 of the corresponding fan assembly 12, and connected to the main board 2, so as to respectively construct transmission paths for power supply and control signals.

[0047] Specifically, for the power supply function, it can be connected to the power supply circuit interface on the mainboard 2 side, and for the communication function, it can be connected to the control circuit interface on the mainboard 2 side. The embodiment of the present application is not limited.

[0048] In this way, the corresponding drive control circuit is independently set up, which is convenient for simplifying the circuit design. In addition, during actual maintenance, only the drive control board where the fault occurs needs to be repaired or replaced, and the maintenance cost is controllable. Moreover, when repairing or replacing one of the drive control boards 5, except for the fan assembly 12 corresponding to the drive control board 5, other fan assemblies 12 can work normally, and the air cooling and heat dissipation capacity of the server can be maximized during online operation and maintenance.

[0049] Optionally, the connection between the drive control board 5 and the fan assembly 12, and the connection between the drive control board 5 and the main board 2, can be realized by using cables. Based on the flexibility of the cables, better adaptability is provided when performing plug-in and pull-out operations.

[0050] In a specific implementation, the interface terminal 13 on the fan unit 1 side may be integrated with a power supply pin and a communication pin. Based on the interface terminal 13, after being connected with the drive control board 5, a power supply link and a communication link may be simultaneously constructed.

[0051] In other possible implementations, the drive control circuits 51 corresponding to the fan assemblies 12 may also be integrated on a drive control board (not shown in the figure), so as to facilitate and quickly perform assembly operations and improve assembly efficiency.

[0052] In order to further reduce the operation and maintenance costs, in the specific implementation, the layout of the main drive control circuit and the backup drive control circuit is realized based on the arrangable space. Figure 5 , which is a layout block diagram of a drive control circuit provided in an embodiment of the present application.

[0053] The drive control circuit 51 may include a main drive control circuit 511 and a backup drive control circuit 512, both of which are connected to the interface pin 52 of the drive control board 5. In a specific implementation, the interface pin 52 may adopt different structural forms, such as but not limited to an interface connector, which may be connected to an adapter connector (not shown in the figure) at the end of a connection cable, and then connected to the interface terminal 13 of the fan unit 1 through the connection cable.

[0054] When powered on, the main drive control circuit 511 works by default, outputs control instructions to control the start and stop of the motor 122, and adjusts the fan speed. On the basis of meeting the heat dissipation requirements, the fan speed is reasonably controlled to reduce the energy consumption of air cooling. When the main drive control circuit 511 works normally, the backup drive control circuit 512 is in hot backup working state.

[0055] Optionally, the server control system can periodically monitor the working status of the main circuit. When the components of the main drive control circuit 511 fail, the backup drive control circuit 512 is automatically switched to work, so as to switch the control and adjustment of the corresponding fan unit 1, which can effectively increase the service life of the control circuit configuration for controlling the fan speed.

[0056] After the server has been in service for a period of time, if the main drive control circuit fails, the backup drive control circuit can be enabled to perform the corresponding control function. In this way, in the actual operation process, based on the configuration of the backup drive control circuit, the possibility of on-site maintenance and replacement can be effectively reduced, avoiding the situation where the fan unit is needed and causing the equipment to shut down, providing a good technical guarantee for achieving maintenance-free.

[0057] For the drive control board 5, in other implementations, the drive control board 5 may also be connected to a fan board provided in the chassis. Figure 6 and Figure 7 ,in, Figure 6 A schematic diagram of another control architecture provided in an embodiment of the present application, Figure 7 Schematic diagram of the assembly relationship between the fan unit and the fan plate provided in the embodiment of the present application. Figure 3 The differences and connections between the described solutions, and functions and structures with the same functions are illustrated in the figures with the same symbols.

[0058] like Figure 6As shown, the interface terminals 13 of each fan assembly 12 and the corresponding drive control board 5 are respectively connected to the fan board 7, and the fan board 7 is connected to the main board 2. In other words, using the fan board as a transition carrier, a reliable connection between the drive control board 5 and the interface terminals 13 and the main board can also be achieved.

[0059] like Figure 7 As shown, the interface terminal 13 on the fan unit 1 side can be blindly plugged with the on-board connector 71 provided on the fan board 7 to quickly build a power supply link and a communication link. With such a configuration, when the fan unit 1 is assembled, the interface terminal 13 is docked and connected while the upper board is assembled through the corresponding guide plug-in structure.

[0060] It should be noted that the blind-plug terminals and connectors that are compatible with each other can be selected according to the overall design requirements of the product. This embodiment of the present application is not limited.

[0061] In the above-mentioned embodiment, the drive control circuit for controlling each fan assembly 12 is arranged on the drive control board 5. In other specific implementations, the drive control circuit can also be integrated and configured on other pluggable circuit boards of the server, such as but not limited to a baseboard management controller (BMC) board or a main board. Figure 8 and Fig. 9 ,in, Figure 8 A schematic diagram of a control architecture of another fan unit provided in an embodiment of the present application is shown in FIG. Fig. 9 Another panel layout diagram provided in the embodiment of the present application. Figure 3 The differences and connections between the described solutions, and functions and structures with the same functions are illustrated in the figures with the same symbols.

[0062] like Figure 8 As shown, the drive control circuit 51 is integrated on the BMC board 8, and the BMC board 8 is connected to the main board 2. The BMC board 8 includes a BMC and a memory, and is used to monitor and manage the server, such as but not limited to device information management, server status monitoring management, server remote control management, and maintenance management. In the embodiment of the present application, the BMC board 8 is integrated with the management and control function of the fan unit, and the drive control circuit is connected to the BMC of the BMC board 8 through a board-level line, which has a shorter link and is easy to maintain. Fig. 9 As shown, the BMC board 8 is pluggable and arranged inside the chassis 4 through the opening of the panel 41. For the power supply function, it can be connected to the power supply circuit interface on the mainboard 2 side, and for the communication function, it can be connected to the control circuit interface on the mainboard 2 side.

[0063] Likewise, the connection between the BMC board 8 and the fan assembly 12 and the mainboard 2 can be implemented by using cables, so as to have better adaptability when performing plug-in and pull-out operations.

[0064] The BMC board 8 with the driving control circuit can be connected to the fan assembly 2 through the main board 2, or connected to the fan assembly 2 through the fan board 7, or the BMC board 8 can also be directly connected to the fan assembly 2. This embodiment of the application is not limited.

[0065] Please also refer to Fig.10 and Fig.11 ,in, Fig.10 A schematic diagram of another control architecture of a fan unit provided in an embodiment of the present application, Fig.11 Another mainboard layout diagram provided in the present application embodiment. Figure 3 , Figure 6 and Figure 8 The differences and connections between the described solutions, and functions and structures with the same functions are illustrated in the figures with the same symbols.

[0066] like Fig.10 As shown, the drive control circuit 51 is integrated on the mainboard 2. Relatively speaking, the wiring area of the mainboard 2 is large, which is convenient for realizing the layout of the drive control circuit. The mainboard 2 can be plugged in and out of the chassis 4 through the opening of the panel 41. In a specific implementation, the opening for plugging in the mainboard 2 can be opened on the front side panel or the rear side panel, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.

[0067] Similarly, the connection between the fan unit 1 and the mainboard 2 can also be achieved through a connection cable 6, one end of the connection cable 6 can be connected to the interface terminal 13 on the fan unit 1 side, and the other end of the connection cable 6 is plugged into the on-board connector 21 through the line end connector 61. In this way, on the basis of constructing a power supply link and a communication link, the cable connection has a good degree of freedom, and the designability of the circuit layout on the board is improved.

[0068] In other specific implementations, for the power supply link and the communication link, a line end connector and a board connector (not shown in the figure) that match each other can be provided respectively, as long as the power supply link and the communication link can be constructed. This application embodiment is not limited.

[0069] In other possible implementations, an on-board connector (not shown in the figure) may also be provided at the insertion end of the mainboard 2, and the on-board connector may be pluggable and matched with the interface terminal 13 on the side of the fan unit 1. When the mainboard 2 is inserted into the chassis 4, the on-board connector at the insertion end of the mainboard 2 is pluggable and matched with the interface terminal 13 on the side of the fan unit 1; conversely, when the mainboard 2 is removed from the chassis 4, the on-board connector at the insertion end of the mainboard 2 is disconnected from the interface terminal 13 on the side of the fan unit 1.

[0070] The main board 2 on which the driving control circuit is arranged is also connected to the BMC board 8, so that the driving control circuit is connected to the BMC on the BMC board, so that the BMC can adjust the fan speed by controlling the driving control circuit.

[0071] For example, in Fig.11 The chassis 4 of the server shown in the figure is provided with two mainboards 2. To simplify the diagram, the processor, memory and other devices on the mainboard 2 are omitted in the figure. In this embodiment, the drive control circuit 51 is integrated on one of the mainboards 2, and the mainboard 2 provided with the drive control circuit 51 is pluggable relative to the chassis 4, wherein the other mainboard 2 without the drive control circuit 51 can be pluggable relative to the chassis 4, or can be fixedly assembled in the chassis 4.

[0072] In other specific implementations, for a server equipped with multiple motherboards 2, the fan assemblies 12 of the fan unit 1 may also be arranged in groups. Fig.12 , this figure is another schematic diagram of the motherboard layout provided in an embodiment of the present application.

[0073] Taking the server configured with two mainboards 2 as an example, the multiple fan assemblies 12 are arranged in two groups. Among them, the drive control circuit 51a corresponding to one group of fan assemblies 12 can be arranged on one mainboard 2a, and the drive control circuit 51b corresponding to another group of fan assemblies 12 can be arranged on another mainboard 2b. In other words, the multiple fan assemblies 12 can be arranged in at least two groups of fan groups, and the fan groups are arranged in a one-to-one correspondence with the mainboards.

[0074] In this way, the unified design of the mainboard 2 can be achieved, the design cost and the production cost of the mainboard 2 can be reasonably controlled, and the trend design requirements of product modularization are met.

[0075] The server described in the foregoing embodiment can be widely used in high-density application scenarios, such as but not limited to supercomputers, HPC (High Performance Computing), intensive computing servers and the like.

[0076] In a specific application, the server may be the aforementioned server, or an edge device including a motherboard that provides an entry point to the core network of an enterprise or service provider, such as but not limited to a router, a routing switch, an IAD (Integrated Access Device), a multiplexer, and various metropolitan area network (MAN) and wide area network (WAN) access devices. In addition, the server may also be a personal computer (PC).

[0077] The embodiment of the present application also provides a computing device, which may be a rack-type or cabinet-type whole cabinet server.

[0078] See also Fig.13 , which is a schematic diagram of the overall structure of a cabinet server provided in an embodiment of the present application. In the figure, arrow X indicates the front and rear directions of the server, that is, the plug-in and unplug directions of each node server 10 of the cabinet server on the cabinet 20. Each server 10 of the cabinet server 100 is arranged in the cabinet 20, the direction indicated by mark F is the front side of the server 10, and the direction indicated by mark B is the back side of the server 10. Based on the computing device implementation scheme provided by the aforementioned server, it is possible to effectively control the operation and maintenance costs, and on the basis of reasonably controlling the frequency of server removal for maintenance, take into account good heat dissipation capacity and low PUE requirements.

[0079] In addition, for a cabinet-type server, the aforementioned server is arranged in its cabinet. Based on the server provided by the embodiment of the present application, when the electronic device of the drive control circuit is damaged or fails, the circuit board arranged with the drive control circuit can be pulled out through the chassis opening, and the circuit board can be reinserted into the chassis after the inspection is completed quickly, or a new replacement circuit board can be inserted into the chassis, and the inspection and maintenance can be completed without pulling out the node server or opening the upper cover of the server chassis.

[0080] In a specific implementation, the above-mentioned rack-type server or cabinet-type server, in addition to the air cooling heat dissipation method, also includes an implementation scheme of configuring a liquid cooling heat dissipation method at the same time. This application embodiment is not limited.
