Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for multi-channel automatic testing, and more particularly to systems and methods for automatic testing of universal interfaces of a device under test. Background Art
[0002] Generally speaking, electronic products require the use of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to fix integrated circuits and other electronic components to perform specific functions through signal transmission. For example, a display adapter can be electrically connected to a motherboard and transmit signals through a specific data exchange method (or bus). For example, a display adapter can be electrically connected to the motherboard through a high-speed peripheral component interconnect (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express, PCIe) transmission method. Furthermore, the display adapter and the motherboard can have unique connectors and slots (ports) to connect to each other. In this way, PCIe can have connections with 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 channels, thereby having high-efficiency transmission capabilities.
[0003] When a tester tests a slot of a DUT (e.g., a motherboard), a test platform is often needed to connect the DUT and test each channel of the DUT in sequence. However, the DUTs are often configured differently, so it is necessary to manually adjust the connection between the test platform and the DUT repeatedly, which is time-consuming and inconvenient. On the other hand, in the conventional technology, it is often necessary to re-switch the controller to test each channel in sequence, which also causes time-consuming problems.
[0004] Therefore, the present disclosure provides an automatic testing system and method, so as to provide a convenient automatic testing system and method. Summary of the invention

[0032] Figure 3A , Figure 3B , Figure 3C , Figure 3D , Figure 3E , Figure 3F A test platform support according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is depicted.
[0033] Figure 3A A view depicting a test platform support according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The test platform support 30 includes: a pair of support arms 301A and 301B, a support beam 302, a rotation mechanism 303, and a rotation mechanism 304. The support arms 301A and 301B are configured to extend generally in the z-direction. One end 3021 of the support beam 302 is coupled to the support arm 301A. The opposite other end 3023 of the support beam 302 is coupled to the support arm 301B. The support beam 302 is configured to extend in the y-direction perpendicular to the z-direction.
[0034] like Figure 3A As shown, the rotating mechanism 303 is connected to the connecting member 309, and the connecting member 309 is connected to the support beam 302 via a slider 305; further, the rotating mechanism 303 is further connected to the rotating mechanism 304, and the rotating mechanism 304 is connected to the RF switch module box 311. In certain embodiments of the present disclosure, the rotating mechanism 304 has a pivot 304i, and the RF switch module box 311 is configured to be pivotally connected to the rotating mechanism 304 via the pivot 304i.
[0035] The rotating mechanism 303 is configured to rotate an object connected thereto approximately around an axis Z1; in some embodiments of the present disclosure, the rotating mechanism 303 is configured to rotate the rotating mechanism 304 connected thereto approximately around the Z1 axis, and because the RF switch module box 311 is connected to the rotating mechanism 304, the rotating mechanism 303 can also simultaneously rotate the RF switch module box 311 approximately around the Z1 axis. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the Z1 axis extends approximately along the z direction.
[0036] As described above, the rotating mechanism 304 has a pivot 304i, so the rotating mechanism 304 can make an object connected thereto pivot approximately around an X1 axis through the pivot 304i. In certain embodiments of the present disclosure, the RF switch module box 311 can pivot approximately around the X1 axis through the pivot 304i of the rotating mechanism 304.
[0037] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the support beam 302 has a slide rail, and the slider 305 is configured to slide along the slide rail of the support beam 302. In other words, the slider 305 can move relative to the support beam 302 and move substantially along the x-direction. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the connecting member 309 is movably connected to the slider 305. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the connecting member 309 is configured to move relative to the slider 305 and move substantially along the z-direction.
[0038] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the test platform support 30 further includes a base plate 306, wherein the base plate 306 includes a pair of slide rails 307A and 307B extending along the y direction, wherein the test platform support 30 further includes a pair of sliders 308A and 308B. The slider 308A is configured to slide along the slide rail 307A, and the slider 308B is configured to slide along the slide rail 307B. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the support arm 301A is configured on the slider 308A, and the support arm 301B is configured on the slider 308B. In this way, the support arm 301A can move along the slide rail 307A via the slider 308A, and the support arm 301B can move along the slide rail 307B via the slider 308B; in other words, the support arms 301A and 301B can move approximately in the y direction via the sliders 308A and 308B.
[0039] Figure 3B The figure depicts that the RF switch module box 311 can be moved in the y direction via the test platform support 30. As described above, the support arms 301A and 301B can be moved substantially in the y direction via the sliders 308A and 308B. Figure 3A and 3B The support beam 302 is connected to the support arms 301A and 301B, and the RF switch module box 311 is connected to the support beam 302 via the rotating mechanisms 303 and 304; therefore, when the support arms 301A and 301B can move along the slide rails 307A and 308B via the sliders 308A and 308B, the RF switch module box 311 is driven to move along the extension direction of the slide rails 307A and 308B; that is, the RF switch module box 311 can move approximately in the y direction via the sliders 308A and 308B relative to the slide rails 307A and 308B.
[0040] Figure 3C The figure depicts that the RF switch module box 311 can be moved in the x direction via the test platform support 30. As described above, the slider 305 is configured to move along the extension direction of the support beam 302, that is, the slider 305 can move substantially along the x direction. Figure 3A and 3C As shown, the RF switch module box 311 is connected to the slider 305 through the connector 309; therefore, when the slider 305 moves approximately in the x-direction along the slide rail of the support beam 302, the RF switch module 311 is driven to move approximately in the x-direction.
[0041] Figure 3D The figure depicts that the RF switch module box 311 can be moved in the z direction via the test platform support 30. As described above, the connector 309 is configured to move substantially in the z direction relative to the slider 305. Figure 3A and 3DThe RF switch module box 311 is connected to the connecting member 309; therefore, when the connecting member 309 moves approximately along the z direction relative to the slider 305, the RF switch module box 311 is driven to move approximately in the z direction.
[0042] Figure 3E The RF switch module box 311 can be rotated approximately around the Z1 axis via the test platform support 30. As mentioned above, the rotating mechanism 303 is configured to allow an object connected thereto to rotate approximately around an axis Z1. Figure 3A and 3E The RF switch module box 311 is connected to the rotating mechanism 303 , so the RF switch module 311 can rotate approximately around an axis Z1 via the rotating mechanism 303 .
[0043] Figure 3F The RF switch module box 311 can be rotated approximately around the X1 axis via the test platform support 30. As mentioned above, the rotating mechanism 304 can have a pivot 304i, which is configured to allow an object connected thereto to pivot approximately around the pivot 304i, that is, to rotate approximately around the X1 axis. Figure 3A and 3F The RF switch module box 311 is pivotally connected to the rotating mechanism 304 , so the RF switch module 311 can be pivoted approximately around the pivot 304 i via the rotating mechanism 304 , that is, rotate approximately around the axis X1 .
[0044] Based on the above, it can be understood that the test platform support 30 can drive the RF switch module 311 to move linearly in the x-direction, y-direction and z-direction, and can also drive the RF switch module box 311 to rotate around two mutually perpendicular axes (x1 axis and z1 axis). In this way, the user can operate the RF switch module box 311 through the test fixture support 30, and can easily move the RF switch module box 311 to the desired position and / or rotate it to the desired direction, thereby further improving the efficiency of the test work.
[0045] Figure 4 A flow chart for automatic testing according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is depicted.
[0046] Figure 4The flowchart depicted is about a method 40 for automatic testing, the method comprising: starting with step 401, connecting a controller to a radio frequency switch module, wherein the radio frequency switch module is configured on a test platform support via a box. In step 402, a device under test (DUT) is placed and a universal interface of the DUT is connected to a signal connection fixture. In step 404, the signal connection fixture is connected to the radio frequency switch module via a plurality of connecting wires, and the radio frequency switch module is connected to an oscilloscope, that is, the connecting wires are installed for all channels to be tested at one time. Then, in step 405, the system is turned on, at which time the DUT receives a first signal from the controller and transmits a second signal to the oscilloscope for measurement in step 406. After the second signal is transmitted to the oscilloscope for measurement, step 407 determines whether all channels to be tested have completed measurement. If it is determined that there are still channels to be tested that have not completed measurement, the process switches to step 408. At this time, without adjusting the connection line and restarting the machine, the controller further transmits a third signal different from the second signal. The DUT receives the third signal from the controller and transmits the fourth signal to the oscilloscope to return to step 406 for measurement. If it is determined in step 407 that all channels to be tested have completed measurement, the process switches to step 409 to remove the DUT. For example, after the universal interface of the signal connection fixture is unplugged from the DUT, the process enters step 410 to end the measurement.

[0048] like Figure 5 As shown, in one embodiment of the present disclosure, the RF switch module box 50 combines the RF switch monomer 51 or 52 with the designed PCB carrier 53 to achieve modular functions, which can facilitate future combination changes and maintenance. By combining multiple different types of RF switch monomers (such as monomer 51, monomer 52 or other monomers) Figure 5 The RF switch module box 50 can provide various input and output connections as required, such as Figure 5 As shown, monomer 51 includes a plurality of connectors 511 , and monomer 52 includes a plurality of connectors 521 .
