Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a rear seat device for a vehicle, and more particularly to a rear seat device configured to independently perform a reclining operation of a seat back and a sliding operation of a seat cushion. Background Art

[0002] Generally speaking, there are many different types of passenger vehicles, and examples of the vehicles include sport utility vehicles (SUVs), multi-purpose vehicles (MUVs), etc., and such vehicles have a function of storing cargo using their interior space in addition to a function of boarding passengers.

[0003] In order to store cargo in the interior space of the vehicle, it is necessary to secure space by moving and rotating rear seats of the vehicle (which may include second and third row seats) except for the first row seats including the driver's seat and the passenger seat.

[0004] To this end, the rear seat may have a walk-in function, a fold-and-dive function, and a swivel function.

[0005] However, the conventional rear seat has a configuration in which the seat back is operated while being linked with the seat cushion during a step-in operation, a folding and diving operation, or a turning operation, which results in a complicated structure and an increase in cost.

[0006] Furthermore, since the rotating device is installed below the seat cushion, it is disadvantageous in terms of securing an installation space, and in particular, there is a disadvantage in that a space must be secured for rotating the seat back and the seat cushion.

[0007] The information disclosed in this Background section is only for enhancement of understanding of the general background of the invention and should not be regarded as an acknowledgement or any form of suggestion that the information constitutes the relevant technology already known to a person skilled in the art. Summary of the invention

[0008] Therefore, the present invention provides a rear seat device for a vehicle, which is configured to perform a reclining operation of a seat back and a sliding operation of a seat cushion separately. Compared with the configuration of a seat in which the seat back is linked with the seat cushion, the rear seat device simplifies the configuration and reduces the cost. In particular, the rear seat device can ensure the riding comfort of the passengers by the separate sliding movement of the seat cushion in consideration of the body shape of each passenger, thereby improving the riding quality of the vehicle.

[0009] Another object of the present invention is to provide a rear seat device configured to achieve a rotation function of an existing seat by sliding a seat cushion alone, thereby reducing costs and more reliably ensuring an interior space.

[0010] Another object of the present invention is to provide a rear seat device which is configured to ensure sufficient loading space for goods (such as merchandise, articles, etc.) in front of and behind the seat by sliding the seat cushion alone. According to this configuration, the utilization rate of the interior space can be further improved.

[0011] According to the present invention, the above and other objects can be achieved by providing a rear seat device for a vehicle, the rear seat device comprising: a pair of side frames fixedly coupled to a vehicle body; a backrest frame fixedly coupled to a left side of one side frame and a right side of the other side frame; a pair of moving frames, wherein each of the moving frames is coupled to a corresponding one of the side frames and is configured to slide forward and backward along the side frames; and a cushion frame coupled to the moving frames and configured to slide forward and backward independently of the backrest frames.

[0012] A pair of side frames are spaced apart from each other on the left and right.

[0013] The seat cushion frame is preferably separate from the backrest frame.

[0014] The backrest frame has a recliner therein, wherein the recliner is operable to rotate the backrest frame alone without linkage with the seat cushion frame.

[0015] The rear seat device further includes a seat rail located below the seat cushion frame and formed to extend frontward and rearward; and a connecting member configured to connect the seat rail to the seat cushion frame.

[0016] The seat rail is formed of a long rail whose length in the front-rear direction is greater than that of the seat cushion frame and is electrically operated.

[0017] The connection member is formed in a single column type configured to connect the seat rail to a portion of the seat cushion frame.

[0018] The seat cushion frame includes a cushion pan configured to support the lower body of a passenger; and a front end of the cushion pan is fixedly coupled to a central crossbar of the seat cushion frame, and a rear end thereof is connected to a rear crossbar of the seat cushion frame through a plurality of springs.

[0019] When a passenger sits on the cushion pan, the rear end of the cushion pan moves downward by the tension of the spring, and the front end of the cushion pan supports the passenger's lower limbs to prevent a submarine effect from occurring when the vehicle collides.

[0020] When the seat cushion frame slides forward so as to protrude forward relative to the backrest frame, a passenger can be seated facing forward.

[0021] When the seat cushion frame slides rearward so as to protrude rearward relative to the backrest frame, a passenger can be seated facing rearward.

[0022] When the seat cushion frame slides rearward so as to protrude rearward with respect to the backrest frame, the backrest frame provides a space secured in front thereof, wherein the space can be used to load items therein.

[0023] When the seat cushion frame slides forward so as to protrude forward relative to the backrest frame and then the backrest frame is rotated forward to be folded, the backrest frame provides a space secured thereover and a space secured therebehind, wherein the space can be used to load items therein.

[0024] A vehicle seat comprises the rear seat device.

[0025] A vehicle comprises the vehicle seat device.

[0026] As described herein, a single-post seat assembly or single-post seat or other similar terms refers to a captain's type vehicle seat, rather than a bench type vehicle seat or seat assembly. In certain aspects, a single-post vehicle seat may not have a seat folding hinge as provided by a bench type vehicle seat. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0048] Hereinafter, a rear seat apparatus for a vehicle according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0049] like Figures 1 to 10 As shown, a rear seat 10 according to the present invention includes a seat back 11 supporting an upper body of a passenger and a seat cushion 12 supporting a lower body of the passenger.

[0050] The seat back 11 has a skeleton structure formed by a back frame 200, and the seat cushion 12 has a skeleton structure formed by a cushion frame 400. Each of the back frame 200 and the cushion frame 400 is covered with a cushion member made of a cushion material, thereby forming the seat back 11 and the seat cushion 12.

[0051] As shown in the figures, the rear seat device according to the present invention includes a pair of side frames 100, which are spaced apart from each other and fixedly coupled to the vehicle body 20; a back frame 200, which is fixedly coupled to the left side of one side frame 100 and the right side of the other side frame 100; a moving frame 300, which is coupled to the side frames 100 and is configured to slide forward and backward along the side frames 100; and a cushion frame 400, which is coupled to the moving frame 300, is separated from the back frame 200, and is configured to slide forward and backward independently of the back frame 200.

[0052] The vehicle body 20 in which the side frame 100 is fixedly installed may be a rear floor, and the lower end of the side frame 100 is fixedly coupled to the vehicle body 20 using a plurality of coupling members such as bolts.

[0053] The two side frames 100 are provided and installed to be spaced apart from each other in the left and right directions, and the two side frames 100 may be installed in parallel with each other in a state of extending in the front-rear direction.

[0054] The mounting brackets 210 are respectively coupled to lower ends of the left and right sides of the back frame 200. Each of the mounting brackets 210 is fixedly coupled to a corresponding one of the side frames 100 using a plurality of coupling members such as bolts.

[0055] Therefore, the left and right sides of the back frame 200 are respectively installed in the side frames 100 and coupled to the side frames 100. With this configuration, each of the side frames 100 and the back frame 200 is coupled to each other, thereby obtaining an integrated assembly.

[0056] In addition, the moving frame 300 is coupled to the side frames 100 , and the moving frame 300 is installed to be slidable forward and backward along the side frames 100 .

[0057] The moving frame 300 is disposed to overlap the side frame 100 in the longitudinal direction of the side frame 100, thereby minimizing the installation space of the side frame 100 and the moving frame 300. With this configuration, space utilization can be significantly improved.

[0058] Opposite sides of the cushion frame 400 are fixedly coupled to the corresponding moving frame 300 , and the corresponding moving frame 300 and the cushion frame 400 are coupled to each other, thereby obtaining an integrated assembly.

[0059] When the moving frame 300 slides forward and backward along the side frames 100 , the cushion frame 400 coupled to the moving frame 300 also slides forward and backward.

[0060] According to the present invention, the backrest frame 200 and the seat cushion frame 400 are separated from each other without a direct connection structure therebetween. When the seat cushion frame 400 slides forward and backward, the backrest frame 200 does not move in conjunction with the seat cushion frame 400. Therefore, the seat cushion frame 400 slides forward and backward independently of the backrest frame 200.

[0061] As described above, the seat cushion frame 400 is not linked with the backrest frame 200, and slides forward and backward independently without the backrest frame 200. With this configuration, compared with a conventional rear seat structure in which the seat back is linked with the seat cushion, not only can the structure be simplified and the cost be reduced, but also the riding comfort of the passengers can be ensured by the independent sliding of the seat cushion in consideration of the body shape of each passenger, thereby having the effect of improving the riding quality of the vehicle.

[0062] In addition, the rear seat device according to the present invention further includes a recliner 500 disposed on the backrest frame 200 .

[0063] The recliners 500 may be respectively disposed at the lower left and lower right of the back frame 200 . A recliner bracket connected to the recliner 500 may be coupled to the mounting bracket 210 .

[0064] Each of the recliners 500 is a component configured to determine the angle of the back frame 200 in the front-rear direction by rotating the back frame 200 front-rear. When the recliners 500 are operated, the back frame 200 rotates alone without being linked with the cushion frame 400.

[0065] As described above, when the recliner 500 is operated, the backrest frame 200 rotates independently in the front-rear direction independently of the seat cushion frame 400 without being linked with the seat cushion frame 400. With this configuration, compared with a conventional rear seat structure in which the seat back is linked with the seat cushion, not only can the structure be simplified and the cost be reduced, but also the riding comfort of the passengers can be ensured by the independent rotation of the seat cushion in consideration of the body shape of each passenger, thereby having the effect of improving the riding quality of the vehicle.

[0066] In addition, the rear seat apparatus according to the present invention may further include a seat rail 600 located below the seat cushion frame 400 and installed to extend forward and backward; and a connecting member 700 configured to connect the seat rail 600 to the seat cushion frame 400 .

[0067] The seat rail 600 is a component configured to move the cushion frame 400 forward and backward. In addition, since the seat rail 600 is electrically operated using a motor, the seat rail 600 has an advantage of adjusting the sliding amount of the cushion frame 400 in the forward and backward direction in consideration of the convenience of the user without adjusting the moving steps of the cushion frame 400 when the cushion frame 400 moves forward and backward.

[0068] In addition, the seat rail 600 is formed of a long rail whose length in the front-rear direction is greater than that of the seat cushion frame 400, thereby making it possible to increase the amount of sliding movement in the front-rear direction of the seat cushion frame 400. With this configuration, it is possible to ensure the riding comfort of the passengers in consideration of the body shape of each passenger, thereby having the effect of improving the riding quality of the vehicle.

[0069] The seat rail 600 includes a fixed rail 610 fixed to the vehicle body 20 and formed to extend in the front-rear direction, and a movable rail 620 coupled to the fixed rail 610 , configured to move forward and backward along the fixed rail 610 by power of a motor, and coupled to the connecting member 700 .

[0070] The seat rail 600 may be located at a middle position of the cushion frame 400 in the left-right direction, and installed to extend in the front-rear direction.

[0071] The connection member 700 according to the present invention may be formed in a single column type configured to connect the seat rail 600 to a portion of the cushion frame 400. This configuration has an advantage of sufficiently ensuring that the bottom of the cushion frame 400 has an available space.

[0072] When the seat cushion frame 400 is connected to the seat rail 600 using only the single-column type connecting member 700, the support structure between the seat cushion frame 400 and the seat rail 600 may not be stable enough. In order to solve such an unstable support structure therebetween, the moving frames 300 are respectively coupled to the left and right sides of the seat cushion frame 400. In addition, each of the moving frames 300 is coupled to a corresponding one of the side frames 100 so as to be slidable and guided forward and backward along the side frames 100, thereby achieving sufficient structural rigidity and strength. With this configuration, the overall lateral shaking of the rear seat can be eliminated.

[0073] The seat cushion frame 400 according to the present invention may include a cushion pan 410 configured to support the lower body of a passenger, more specifically, the buttocks of the passenger when the passenger is seated.

[0074] At least two dollies 410 may be provided, and each of the dollies 410 may be mounted on a corresponding one of the passenger seating portions. The outer shape of the dollie 410 may be formed as a square plate, a circular plate, or a polygonal plate.

[0075] The front end of the dolly 410 may be fixedly coupled to a central crossbar 430 constituting the cushion frame 400 via a plurality of suspensions 420 , each of which serves as a connecting member, and the rear end of the dolly 410 may be connected to a rear crossbar 450 constituting the cushion frame 400 via a plurality of springs 440 .

[0076] Therefore, if Figure 6As shown, when the passenger 30 sits on the cushion 410, the rear end of the cushion 410 moves downward (arrow M1) by the tension of the spring 440. Therefore, the front end of the cushion 410 supports the passenger's lower limbs (thighs), thereby having the effect of preventing the submarine effect from occurring in the event of a vehicle collision.

[0077] When the load of the passenger 30 is removed from the dolly 410 , the lower end of the dolly 410 may be raised again by the restoring force of the spring 440 and return to the original position of the dolly 410 .

[0078] like Figure 1 As shown, in the rear seat apparatus according to the present invention, the side frame 100 and the connecting member 700 may be installed to be covered by the side cover 110 and the connecting member cover 710, respectively.

[0079] like Figure 7 As shown, in the rear seat apparatus according to the present invention, when the cushion frame 400 slides forward so as to protrude forward relative to the back frame 200, the passenger 30 is in the front seating state in which the passenger 30 is seated facing forward.

[0080] In addition, if Figure 8 As shown, when the cushion frame 400 slides rearward so as to protrude rearward with respect to the back frame 200 , the passenger 30 is in a rearward seating state in which the passenger 30 is seated facing rearward.

[0081] When the passenger 30 is in Figure 8 In the rear seating position shown, a comfortable resting mode can be provided to the passenger 30 .

[0082] like Figure 7 and Figure 8 As shown, the rear seat device according to the present invention is configured to implement the front sitting state and the rear sitting state of the passenger 30 by sliding the seat cushion frame 400 in the front-rear direction. With this configuration, the rotation function of the existing rear seat can be realized. In particular, since the rotation function can be implemented without a special rotation device, the cost can be reduced. In addition, the space allocated for installing the existing rotation device can be used for other purposes, thereby having the effect of improving space utilization.

[0083] like Fig. 9 As shown, in the rear seat device according to the present invention, when the cushion frame 400 slides rearward so as to protrude rearward relative to the back frame 200, the article 40 can be loaded in the space ensured in front of the back frame 200, thereby having the effect of further improving the utilization rate of the vehicle interior space.

[0084] In addition, if Fig.10As shown, in the rear seat device according to the present invention, when the cushion frame 400 slides forward so as to protrude forward relative to the back frame 200 and then the back frame 200 is rotated forward to be folded, the article 40 can be loaded in the space secured above the back frame 200 and in the space secured behind it, thereby having the effect of further improving the utilization rate of the vehicle interior space.

[0085] As described above, in the rear seat device for a vehicle according to the present invention, the backrest frame 200 is not linked with the seat cushion frame 400, and is rotated independently in the front-rear direction independently of the seat cushion frame 400. In addition, the seat cushion frame 400 is not linked with the backrest frame 200, and the seat cushion frame 400 is slid independently in the front-rear direction independently of the backrest frame 200. By this configuration, compared with a seat structure in which the seat back is linked with the seat cushion, not only can the structure be simplified and the cost be reduced, but also, by the independent sliding of the seat cushion 12, the riding comfort of the passenger can be ensured in consideration of the body shape of each passenger, thereby having the effect of improving the riding quality of the vehicle.

[0086] In addition, the rear seat device for a vehicle according to the present invention is configured to realize the front sitting state and the rear sitting state of the passenger 30 by sliding the seat cushion frame 400 in the front-rear direction alone. With this configuration, the rotation function of the existing rear seat can be realized. In particular, since the rotation function can be implemented without a special rotation device, cost reduction can be achieved. In addition, the space allocated for installing the existing rotation device can be used for other purposes, thereby having the effect of improving space utilization.

[0087] Furthermore, the rear seat apparatus for a vehicle according to the present invention is configured to ensure sufficient loading space for the article 40 in front of and behind the seat by sliding the cushion frame 400 in the front-rear direction alone, thereby having the effect of further improving the utilization of the vehicle interior space.

[0088] As is apparent from the above description, the present invention provides a rear seat device for a vehicle, the rear seat device including a backrest frame that is not linked to a seat cushion frame and is configured to rotate independently in the front-rear direction independently of the seat cushion frame, wherein the seat cushion frame is not linked to the backrest frame and slides independently in the front-rear direction independently of the backrest frame. Therefore, compared with a seat structure in which a seat back is linked to a seat cushion, not only can the structure be simplified and the cost be reduced, but also the riding comfort of the passengers can be ensured by the independent sliding of the seat cushion in consideration of the body shape of each passenger, thereby having the effect of improving the riding quality of the vehicle.

[0089] In addition, the rear seat device for a vehicle according to the present invention is configured to implement the front sitting state and the rear sitting state of the passenger by sliding the seat cushion frame in the front-rear direction alone. With this configuration, the rotation function of the existing rear seat can be realized. In particular, since the rotation function can be implemented without a special rotation device, not only can the cost be reduced, but also the space allocated for installing the existing rotation device can be used for other purposes, thereby having the effect of improving space utilization.

[0090] Furthermore, the rear seat apparatus for a vehicle according to the present invention is configured to ensure sufficient loading space for items in front of and behind the seat by sliding the seat cushion frame alone in the front-rear direction, thereby having the effect of further improving the utilization of the vehicle interior space.

[0091] Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
