Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of drinking water treatment, in particular to high-catalytic-activity biochar, a preparation method and application of the high-catalytic-activity biochar to removal of pesticides in drinking water. The preparation method comprises the following steps: 1) removing roots of fresh water hyacinth, cleaning, drying, crushing and sieving to obtain fine and uniform powder; (2) putting the obtained powder into a sodium hydroxide solution, stirring, standing to obtain a solid, washing to be neutral, drying, and adding into pure water together with magnesium chloride; drying the solid obtained by solid-liquid separation, pyrolyzing in a tubular furnace, and cooling to room temperature; the preparation method comprises the following steps: grinding and sieving the raw materials, adding the raw materials into ethanol to form a dispersion liquid, and adding 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane to carry out a functionalization reaction; and filtering the dispersion liquid after the functionalization reaction, washing the obtained solid, and drying to obtain the functionalized magnesium-modified water hyacinth-based biochar. The prepared charcoal activated peroxymonosulfate can be used for efficiently removing organic pesticides in drinking water.
