Abstract

This invention discloses a portable device and method for rapid enrichment of oil spill samples from water surfaces. The device includes a feeding unit, a first oil-water separation unit, a second oil-water separation unit, a concentration unit, a tail gas treatment unit, a finished product unit, and a control unit. The feeding unit pre-treats the sample by demulsification using an ultrasonic generator. The extraction column of the first oil-water separation unit adsorbs oil spill components and initially separates water. Elution reagent is injected into a reagent bottle to elute the oil spill components to a collection bottle. The adsorption column of the second oil-water separation unit deeply removes water. The concentration unit removes the eluent by heating an evaporation flask with a heating mantle. The activated carbon adsorption tank of the tail gas treatment unit purifies the reagent vapor. The finished product unit enables quantitative storage of the sample. The method achieves rapid enrichment and preparation of oil spill samples through an integrated process of collection, pretreatment, adsorption, elution, water removal, concentration, and storage. The device has a compact structure and automated operation. The prepared samples can be directly adapted to detection equipment, improving the efficiency of on-site monitoring of oil spills at sea.
