[0001] The present invention relates to an assembly target work device. General state of the art
[0002] Conventionally, a mounting target work device that mounts components on a substrate is known. Such a mounting target work device is disclosed in JP 2014-135416 A.
[0003] JP 2014 - 135 416 A discloses an electronic component mounting apparatus (mounting target work device) comprising a substrate conveying unit that conveys a printed circuit board having a flat plate shape and a component moving unit that mounts electronic components on the printed circuit board.
[0004] JP 5 779 342 B2 describes that a second portion of a device for holding a fixed substrate is raised relative to a first portion, and a fixed substrate support, thus raised from a pallet to support a fixed substrate in suspended relation to the pallet, is rotated about a horizontal axis by a drive device. The fixed substrate support is rotated about a vertical axis by a rotating device to change the direction of the horizontal axis, and the fixed substrate is rotated about another horizontal axis to keep various side surfaces horizontal, on which electronic circuit components are mounted.
[0005] JP 4 922 863 B2 describes a surface mounting apparatus provided with a plurality of parts mounting units on a base table. The surface mounting apparatus includes a first component mounting unit having a work area on a substrate conveying path, a second component mounting unit having a work area at a position remote from the substrate conveying path in the Y-axis direction, and a conveying system device consisting of a conveying device for conveying a substrate in the X-axis direction and a slide table that slides the substrate in the Y-axis direction to reciprocate the substrate between the substrate conveying path and a second component mounting unit.
[0006] The document JP 2011 - 54 900 A describes a component mounting machine comprising a first head unit for mounting components on a substrate in a first mounting position, a second head unit for mounting components on the substrate in a second mounting position located downstream of the first mounting position in a substrate transport direction, and a decision device for determining whether the substrate can be transported from the first mounting position to the second mounting position.
[0007] JP H10-212023 A describes a printed circuit board conveyor comprising two main conveyors arranged perpendicular to a printed circuit board conveying direction, an infeed conveyor and an outfeed conveyor. The infeed and outfeed conveyors are shifted to first and second switching positions in line with the main conveyors to convey printed circuit boards into and out of the two main conveyors. The infeed conveyor receives the printed circuit boards in the first layer position and delivers them to the main conveyors, and the outfeed conveyor transports the printed circuit boards picked up by the main conveyors in the first layer position. While circuit components are mounted on the circuit board on one main conveyor, the other main conveyor feeds out the circuit board and transports in the next circuit board so that the mounting of circuit components on the next circuit board can begin after assembly is completed.
[0008] The document DE 600 38 292 T2 describes a device and a method for transporting and holding a plate-shaped part, in which a plate-shaped part carried in can be held and carried out after performing predetermined operations such as printing, machining, assembly of components, etc. Further described is a workstation such as a component assembly device or the like, which is equipped with a plate-shaped part transporting or holding device, preferably as a circuit board transporting or holding device for holding a circuit board, wherein the circuit board to be equipped with components is used as an example of a plate-shaped part, and in which components are mounted on the circuit board. Brief description of the inventionProblems to be solved by the invention
[0009] In the technical field of an electronic component mounting apparatus described in JP 2014-135416 A, work such as component mounting can be performed not only on a mounting target (printed board) having a simple shape (flat board shape) but also on a mounting target having a complicated shape compared to a flat board shape. However, in the electronic component mounting apparatus described in JP 2014-135416 A, it is only possible to perform work (mounting) on a mounting target having a simple shape, and there is room for improvement in that work (mounting) cannot be performed on both the mounting target having a simple shape and the mounting target having a complicated shape.
[0010] The present invention has been proposed to solve the aforementioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an assembly target work device capable of performing work on both an assembly target having a simple shape and an assembly target having a complicated shape. Means of solving the tasks
[0011] The claimed invention is defined by the subject matter of the independent claim. A further embodiment forms the subject matter of the dependent claim.
[0012] A mounting target working apparatus according to one aspect of the present invention includes a head unit, a first mounting target working area in which the head unit performs an operation on a first mounting target having a flat plate shape, and a second mounting target working area in which the head unit performs the operation on a second mounting target having a three-dimensional shape compared to the first mounting target.
[0013] As described above, in the mounting target work apparatus according to this aspect of the present invention, the first mounting target work area in which the head unit performs the operation on the first mounting target having a flat plate shape and the second mounting target work area in which the head unit performs the operation on the second mounting target having a three-dimensional shape compared to the first mounting target are provided. Accordingly, the operation on the first mounting target having a flat plate shape (having a simple shape) can be performed in the first mounting target work area of the mounting target work apparatus, and the operation on the second mounting target having a three-dimensional shape (having a complicated shape) compared to the first mounting target can be performed in the second mounting target work area of the same mounting target work apparatus.Consequently, in the mounting target work apparatus, the operation can be performed on both the first mounting target having a simple shape and the second mounting target having a complicated shape. In addition, the operation on both the first mounting target having a simple shape and the second mounting target having a complicated shape can be performed by the same head unit. Thus, even if the operation is performed on both the first mounting target having a simple shape and the second mounting target having a complicated shape in one mounting target work apparatus, the complexity of the apparatus structure can be significantly reduced or eliminated.
[0014] The aforementioned mounting target working device according to this aspect further includes a first mounting target holder that holds the first mounting target when the head unit performs the operation on the first mounting target in the first mounting target working area, and a second mounting target holder that holds the second mounting target and moves the held second mounting target along an up-down direction or rotates or tilts the held second mounting target when the head unit performs the operation on the second mounting target in the second mounting target working area. The first mounting target working area is preferably an area where the first mounting target holder is arranged, and the second mounting target working area is preferably an area where the second mounting target holder is arranged.According to this structure, the first mounting target is held by the first mounting target holder such that the operation on the first mounting target can be stably performed within the first mounting target working area. In addition, the second mounting target is held by the second mounting target holder such that the operation on the second mounting target can be stably performed within the second mounting target working area. Moreover, the second mounting target holder moves the second mounting target along the up-down direction or rotates or tilts the second mounting target such that the operation can be easily performed even on the second mounting target having a complicated shape (three-dimensional shape).
[0015] The first mounting target work area and the second mounting target work area are arranged at different positions from each other. According to this structure, the first mounting target holder arranged in the first mounting target work area and the second mounting target holder arranged in the second mounting target work area can be arranged at different positions from each other. Consequently, compared to the case where the first mounting target holder and the second mounting target holder are arranged at the same position, a space in which the first mounting target holder is arranged and a space in which the second mounting target holder is arranged can be easily secured.
[0016] The aforementioned structure in which the first mounting target work area and the second mounting target work area are arranged at mutually different positions preferably further comprises a conveying unit including a conveying path through which the first mounting target and the second mounting target are carried in, conveyed, and carried out, and the first mounting target work area is preferably arranged in the conveying path. According to this structure, unlike the case where the first mounting target work area is arranged outside the conveying path, the conveying unit conveys only the first mounting target along the conveying path, so that the first mounting target can be arranged in the first mounting target work area. Consequently, the time elapsed between carrying the first mounting target into the apparatus and placing the first mounting target in the first mounting target work area can be shortened. This effect is particularly effective when the first assembly target throughput is higher than the second assembly target throughput.
[0017] In such a case, the second mounting target work area is preferably arranged outside the conveying path. According to this structure, the second mounting target holder can be arranged outside the conveying path in which the first mounting target holder is arranged, and thus the space in which the second mounting target holder is arranged can be easily secured outside the conveying path. In addition, the second mounting target holder is not arranged in the conveying path, so the size of the arrangement space in the conveying path can be increased, and thus the space in which the first mounting target holder is arranged can be easily secured in the conveying path.
[0018] The aforementioned structure, in which the second mounting target work area is located outside the conveying path, further includes a transfer unit that receives the second mounting target from the conveying unit and transfers the second mounting target to the second mounting target work area. According to this structure, even if the second mounting target work area is located outside the conveying path, the second mounting target carried into the device by the conveying unit can be easily moved by the transfer unit to the second mounting target work area.
[0019] In the aforementioned structure including the transfer unit, the transfer unit preferably includes a first transfer section that is arranged in the conveyance path and is movable in the up-down direction and receives the second mounting target from the conveyance unit, and a second transfer section that is arranged outside the conveyance path and receives the second mounting target from the first transfer section and transfers the second mounting target to the second mounting target work area, and the first transfer section, the second transfer section, and the second mounting target work area are preferably arranged side by side in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction in the conveyance path.According to this structure, the second mounting target can be transferred from the conveyor unit to the second mounting target work area through the first transfer section and the second transfer section, avoiding the conveyor unit. In addition, the first transfer section, the second transfer section, and the second mounting target work area are arranged side by side in the direction orthogonal to the conveying direction in the conveying path, so that a distance from the conveyor unit to the second mounting target work area can be shortened, and thus the time required to transfer the second mounting target from the conveyor unit to the second mounting target work area can be shortened.
[0020] In the aforementioned structure in which the transfer unit includes the first transfer section and the second transfer section, the first transfer section is preferably arranged at a position different from that of the first mounting target work area in the conveying path. According to this structure, even in the conveying path having a small arrangement space, spaces in which the first mounting target holder and the first transfer section of the transfer unit are arranged can be easily secured in the conveying path.
[0021] In the aforementioned structure in which the transfer unit includes the first transfer section and the second transfer section, the first transfer section is preferably arranged in the first mounting target work area of the conveying path.
[0022] According to this structure, compared with the case where the first transfer section of the transfer unit and the first mounting target work area are arranged at different positions in the conveying path, the conveying path can be shortened and thus the mounting target work device can be miniaturized accordingly.
[0023] In such a case, the first mounting target holder preferably includes a mounting target fixing unit that fixes the first mounting target when the head unit performs the operation on the first mounting target in the first mounting target work area. In a state where the mounting target fixing unit is retracted, the first transfer section of the transfer unit preferably receives the second mounting target from the conveyor unit. According to this structure, when the first transfer section of the transfer unit receives the second mounting target from the conveyor unit, the mounting target fixing unit of the first mounting target holder can be prevented from interfering with the transfer operation.
[0024] In the aforementioned structure in which the transfer unit includes the first transfer section and the second transfer section, after the head unit performs the operation on the second mounting target, the second transfer section preferably receives the second mounting target, the second transfer section preferably transfers the second mounting target to the first transfer section, and the first transfer section preferably transfers the second mounting target to the conveyor unit. According to this structure, the second mounting target can be easily transferred by the first transfer section and the second transfer section of the transfer unit from the second mounting target work area to the conveyor unit.
[0025] In the aforementioned structure in which the first assembly target work area is arranged in the conveying path, the second assembly target work area is preferably arranged in the conveying path. According to this structure, unlike the case where the second assembly target work area is arranged outside the conveying path, it is not necessary to provide a device that transfers the second assembly target from the conveying path to the second assembly target work area arranged outside the conveying path. Consequently, the structure of the assembly target work device can be simplified. Moreover, it is not necessary to transfer the second mounting target from the conveying path to the second mounting target work area located outside the conveying path, and thus, compared with the case where the second mounting target work area is located outside the conveying path, the time elapsed between carrying the second mounting target into the device and arranging the second mounting target in the second mounting target work area can be shortened. Effect of the invention
[0026] According to the present invention, as described above, it is possible to provide an assembly target work device capable of performing work on both an assembly target having a simple shape and an assembly target having a complicated shape. [0027] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. In the following description, a conveying direction in a conveying path 5a is defined as an X direction, a direction orthogonal to the X direction in a horizontal plane is defined as a Y direction, and an up-down direction orthogonal to the horizontal plane is defined as a Z direction. Moreover, the upstream side in the conveying direction is defined as the X1 direction side, and the downstream side in the conveying direction is defined as the X2 direction side. [First Embodiment] (Structure of the assembly target work device)
[0028] The structure of an assembly target working device 100 according to a first embodiment of the present invention will now be described with reference to Fig. 1 to 6.
[0029] In the first embodiment, as shown in Fig. 1, the mounting target work apparatus 100 includes a first mounting target work area 1 (indicated by a two-dot chain line) in which an operation for mounting components E from a head unit 7 described below to a first mounting target P1 (see Fig. 2) is carried out, which has a shape of a flat plate, and a second mounting target work area 2 (indicated by a two-dot chain line) in which the operation for mounting the components E from the head unit 7 to a second mounting target P2 (see Fig. 3) is performed on a component E having a three-dimensional shape compared to the first mounting target P1. That is, the mounting target work apparatus 100 is a component mounter capable of performing a mounting operation on both the first mounting target P1 having a simple shape and the second mounting target P2 having a complicated shape. The mounting target work apparatus 100 is a surface mount apparatus that mounts the components E on a bonding member such as solder disposed on the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2. Moreover, the components E are electronic components such as ICs, transistors, capacitors, and resistors.
[0030] In the assembly target work apparatus 100, the first assembly target work area 1 and the second assembly target work area 2 are arranged at positions different from each other. Specifically, the first assembly target work area 1 and the second assembly target work area 2 are arranged at positions that do not overlap each other in a plan view (as viewed in the Z direction).
[0031] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 2, the first mounting target P1 is, for example, a single-sided mounting target having only one mounting target surface P1a. Additionally, the first mounting target P1 may be, for example, a double-sided mounting target having two mounting target surfaces P1a: one mounting target surface P1a and one mounting target surface P1a opposite to the mounting target surface P1a.
[0032] The second mounting target P2 may have any shape and may have any number of mounting target surfaces P2a. In Fig. 3, as an example of the second mounting target P2, a second mounting target P2 is illustrated, which has a plurality of mounting target surfaces P2a including mounting target surfaces P2a that intersect each other. In addition, the second mounting target P2 is not limited to the Fig. 3, but it may also be that the second mounting target P2 does not have the mounting target surfaces P2a that intersect each other.
[0033] As in Fig. 3, in the mounting target working device 100, the second mounting target P2 is placed on a placement member 90 for conveyance. The second mounting target P2 is conveyed in a state in which it is placed on the placement member 90. The placement member 90 includes a placement section 90a on which the second mounting target P2 is placed, and a held section 90b provided at a lower portion of the placement section 90a and held by a second mounting target holder 4, which will be described below. Although in Fig. 3 illustrates the rectangular placement element 90, the placement element 90 may have any shape as long as it can be conveyed.
[0034] The mounting target work device 100 includes a first mounting target holder 3, the second mounting target holder 4, a conveying unit 5, a transfer unit 6, the head unit 7 and a head moving mechanism 8, component images 9, a mark imager 10, and a controller 11. In the first embodiment, the first mounting target work area 1 is an area where the first mounting target holder 3 is arranged, and the second mounting target work area 2 is an area where the second mounting target holder 4 is arranged.
[0035] The first mounting target holder 3 holds the first mounting target P1 when the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation on the first mounting target P1 in the first mounting target work area 1. Specifically, the first mounting target holder 3 comprises, as shown in Fig. 4, a mounting target fixing unit 31 and a mounting target support 32.
[0036] The mounting target fixing unit 31 is a clamping mechanism that fixes the first mounting target P1 when the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation on the first mounting target P1 in the first mounting target work area 1. The mounting target fixing unit 31 includes a pair of clamps 31a spaced apart from each other in the Y direction, and fixes both ends of the first mounting target P1 in the Y direction by means of the pair of clamps 31a. Moreover, the pair of clamps 31a of the mounting target fixing unit 31 is movable between retracted positions in which the first mounting target P1 is not fixed and fixing positions in which the first mounting target P1 is fixed. The pair of clamps 31a are located in the retracted positions when the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2 is conveyed, and are located in the fixing positions when the first mounting target P1 is fixed.
[0037] The mounting target support 32 is a securing unit that supports the first mounting target P1 from below (Z2 direction side) when the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation on the first mounting target P1 in the first mounting target work area 1. The mounting target support 32 includes a plurality of securing pins 32a and a securing pin arrangement portion 32b in which the plurality of securing pins 32a are arranged, and supports a lower portion of the first mounting target P1 from below by means of the plurality of securing pins 32a. Moreover, the plurality of securing pins 32a and the securing pin arrangement portion 32b of the mounting target support 32 are movable along the up-down direction (Z direction) between retracted positions in which the first object P1 is not supported and supporting positions in which the first mounting target P1 is supported. The plurality of locking pins 32a and the locking pin arranging portion 32a are in the retracted positions when the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2 is conveyed, and are in the supporting positions when the first mounting target P1 is supported.
[0038] As in Fig. 1, when the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation on the second mounting target P2 in the second mounting target work area 2, the second mounting target holder 4 holds the second mounting target P2 via the placement member 90. The second mounting target holder 4 moves the held second mounting target P2 along the up-down direction (Z direction) or rotates or tilts the held second mounting target P2.
[0039] Specifically, as in Fig. 5, the second mounting target holder 4 includes a lifting mechanism 41, a tilting mechanism 42, a rotating mechanism 43, and a holder 44. In the second mounting target holder 4, the holder 44 is fixed to the rotating mechanism 43, the rotating mechanism 43 is fixed to the tilting mechanism 42, and the tilting mechanism 42 is fixed to the lifting mechanism 41.
[0040] The lifting mechanism 41 includes a drive motor 41a and moves the second mounting target P2, which is held by the holder 44, along the up-down direction (Z direction) using the drive force of the drive motor 41a. The tilting mechanism 42 includes a drive motor 42a and rotates the second mounting target P2, which is held by the holder 44, about a rotation axis A1 extending along a horizontal direction using the drive force of the drive motor 42a. Thus, the tilting mechanism 42 tilts the second mounting target P2, which is held by the holder 44. The rotating mechanism 43 includes a drive motor 43a and rotates the second mounting target P2, which is held by the holder 44, about a rotation axis A2 extending in a direction substantially orthogonal to the rotation axis A1 using the drive force of the drive motor 43a. The holder 44 holds the second mounting target P2 via the placement member 90.Specifically, the holder 44 includes a plurality of claws 44a and holds and fixes the held portion 90b of the placement member 90 by means of the plurality of claws 44a.
[0041] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, the conveyor unit 5 includes a single conveyor path 5a through which the first assembly target P1 and the second assembly target P2 are carried in, conveyed, and carried out. In the first embodiment, the first assembly target work area 1 (first assembly target holder 3) is arranged in the conveyor path 5a. In addition, the second assembly target work area 2 (second assembly target holder 4) is arranged outside the conveyor path 5a.
[0042] The conveying unit 5 includes a pair of conveyors 51 spaced apart from each other in the Y direction. Each of the pair of conveyors 51 includes a conveyor belt. The conveying unit 5 conveys an object to be conveyed (the placement member 90 on which the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2 is placed) along the conveying path 5a extending in the X direction, while supporting both ends of the object to be conveyed from below in the Y direction by means of the pair of conveyors 51.
[0043] Specifically, when the conveyor unit 5 carries in the first mounting target P1, it conveys the carried-in mounting target P1 to the downstream side (X2 direction side) and stops the first mounting target P1 at a mounting stop position B1. The mounting stop position B1 is a position where the first mounting target P1 is stopped for the head unit 7 to perform the mounting operation, and a position where the first mounting target holder 3 is arranged in the first mounting target work area 1. Then, after the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation in the first mounting target work area 1, the conveyor unit 5 conveys the first mounting target P1 in an X2 direction from the mounting stop position B1 and carries out the first mounting target P1.
[0044] When carrying in the second mounting target P2, the conveying unit 5 conveys the carried-in second mounting target P2 to the downstream side (X2 direction side) and stops it at a transfer stop position B2. The transfer stop position B2 is a position where the second mounting target P2 is stopped for the transfer unit 6 to perform the transfer, and a position where a first transfer section 61 of the transfer unit 6, described below, is arranged in the conveying path 5a. The second mounting target P2 stopped at the transfer stop position B2 is transferred from the transfer unit 6 to the second mounting target work area 2. Then, after the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation in the second mounting target work area 2, the second mounting target P2 is transferred (returned) from the transfer unit 6 to the transfer stop position B2.Then, the conveyor unit 5 conveys the first mounting target P1 from the transfer stop position B2 in the X2 direction and carries it out.
[0045] The transfer unit 6 is a device provided separately and independently from the conveying unit 5, receives the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) from the conveying unit 5, and transfers the second mounting target P2 to the second mounting target work area 2. Specifically, the transfer unit 6 includes the first transfer section 61 located at the transfer stop position B2 in the conveying path 5a, and a second transfer section 62 located outside the conveying path 5a. The first transfer section 61 is located at a position different from that of the first mounting target work area 1 (first mounting target holder 3) in the conveying path 5a.In the first embodiment, the first transfer section 61, the second transfer section 62, and the second mounting target work area 2 (second mounting target holder 4) are arranged side by side in the Y direction in this order from the Y2 direction side.
[0046] As in Fig. 6, the first transfer section 61 receives the second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) from the conveyor unit 5. Specifically, the first transfer section 61 is movable along the up-down direction (Z direction) to receive the second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) from the conveyor unit 5. Specifically, the first transfer section 61 is movable along the up-down direction (Z direction) between a transfer position (see Fig. 8) at which the first transfer section 61 transfers the second mounting target P2 to the second transfer section 62, and a retracted position at which the first transfer section 61 does not contact the object to be conveyed during conveyance. The first transfer section 61 is located at the retracted position when conveying the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2, and is located at the transfer position when transferring the second mounting target P2. In addition, the first transfer section 61 moves upward (Z1 direction) from the retracted position to the transfer position and lifts the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) supported by the pair of conveyors 51 of the conveying unit 5 to receive the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) from the conveying unit 5.
[0047] The first transfer section 61 transfers the received second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) to the second transfer section 62. Specifically, the first transfer section 61 conveys the second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) along the Y direction to transfer the received second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) to the second transfer section 62. Specifically, the first transfer section 61 includes a pair of conveyors 61a (see Fig. 1) spaced apart from each other in the X direction. Each of the pair of conveyors 61a includes a conveyor roller. Each of the pair of conveyors 61a is not limited to the conveyor roller, but each of the pair of conveyors 61a may include a conveyor belt. The first transfer section 61 conveys the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) along the Y direction, supporting both ends of the placement member 90 on which the second mounting target P2 is placed in the X direction from below the pair of conveyors 61a. Thus, the first transfer section 61, located at the transfer position, passes above (Z1 direction) the conveyor unit 5 and transfers the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) to the second transfer section 62. The second transfer section 62 is located at substantially the same height as the first transfer section 61 located at the transfer position.
[0048] The second transfer section 62 receives the second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) from the first transfer section 61 and transfers the second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) to the second mounting target work area 2. Specifically, the second transfer section 62 includes a pair of conveyors 62a (see Fig. 1) spaced apart from each other in the X-direction. Each of the pair of conveyors 62a includes a conveyor roller. Each of the pair of conveyors 62a is not limited to the conveyor roller, but each of the pair of conveyors 62a may include a conveyor belt. The second transfer section 62 conveys the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) along the Y-direction while supporting both ends of the placement member 90, on which the second mounting target P2 is placed, in the X-direction from below by means of the pair of conveyors 62a. Specifically, the second transfer section 62 conveys the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) to a holding stop position B3 (see Fig. 1). The holding stop position B3 is a position where the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is stopped for the second mounting target holder 4 to perform holding, and a position where the second mounting target holder 4 is located in the second mounting target work area 2. Thus, the second transfer section 62 transfers the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) to the second mounting target work area 2.
[0049] The pair of conveyors 62a of the second transfer section 62 moves in the X direction such that a width between the pair of conveyors 62a in the X direction is adjustable. Thus, when the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) held by the second mounting target holder 4 is rotated or tilted, the pair of conveyors 62a can be retracted to positions where the pair of conveyors 62a does not contact the rotated or tilted second mounting target P2 (placement member 90). In addition, when the placement member 90 having a different width in the X direction is transferred, the width between the pair of conveyors 62a in the X direction can be adjusted according to the width of the placement member 90 in the X direction. The pair of conveyors 61a of the first transfer section 61 may be configured such that, when the placement member 90 having a different width in the X direction is transferred, a width between the pair of conveyors 61a in the X direction is adjustable similarly to the pair of conveyors 62a of the second transfer section 62.
[0050] The second transfer section 62 receives the second mounting target P2 from the second mounting target holder 4 after the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation in the second mounting target work area 2, and transfers the second mounting target P2 to the first transfer section 61. The first transfer section 61 transfers the second mounting target P2 received from the second transfer section 62 to the conveyor unit 5.
[0051] The head unit 7 holds the components E by sucking the components E and mounts the held components E on the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2. In the mounting target working device 100, a plurality of belt conveyors 100a, which supply the components E to be mounted on the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2, are arranged on both sides (the Y1 side and the Y2 side) in the Y direction. The head unit 7 sucks and holds the components E supplied by the belt conveyors 100a. Specifically, the head unit 7 includes a plurality of (six) heads (mounting heads) 71. Each of the plurality of heads 71 is connected to a vacuum generator (not shown) and nozzles (not shown) attached to the tips thereof, which suck and hold the components E using negative pressure supplied by the vacuum generator. In addition, the head unit 7 releases the holding (suction) of the components E at mounting positions on the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2 to mount the components E on the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2.
[0052] The head moving mechanism 8 moves the head unit 7 in the conveying state in the horizontal plane (XY plane) above the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2. Specifically, the head moving mechanism 8 includes an X-axis moving mechanism 81 and a pair of Y-axis moving mechanisms 82.
[0053] The head unit 7 is fixed to the X-axis movement mechanism 81, and a ball screw mechanism moves the head unit 7 in the X direction. The X-axis movement mechanism 81 is fixed to the pair of Y-axis movement mechanisms 82, and the ball screw mechanism moves the X-axis movement mechanism 81 and the head unit 7 in the Y direction. Thus, the head unit 7 is movable between the belt conveyors 100a and the first assembly target P1 located in the first assembly target work area 1, and is movable between the belt conveyors 100a and the second assembly target P2 located in the second assembly target work area 2.
[0054] The component images 9 are cameras for component recognition that image the components E sucked by the heads 71 before an operation for mounting the components E. The component images 9 are fixed to the upper surface of a base of the mounting target work device 100 and image the components E sucked by the heads 71 from the lower side (Z2 direction side) of the components E. The controller 11 detects (recognizes) the suction states (the rotational orientations and the suction positions with respect to the heads 71) of the components E based on the images of the components E captured by the component images 9.
[0055] The mark imager 10 is a camera for mark recognition that images a position detection mark (not shown) attached to the mounting target (P1 or P2) before an operation for mounting the components E. The position detection mark is a mark for detecting the position of the mounting target (P1 or P2). The controller 11 detects (recognizes) the accurate position and orientation of the mounting target (P1 or P2) based on the image of the position detection mark captured by the mark imager 10. In addition, the mark imager 10 is attached to the head unit 7 and is movable together with the head unit 7 in the conveyance state in the horizontal plane (XY plane) above the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2.
[0056] The controller 11 includes a central processing unit (CPU), a read-only memory (ROM), a random access memory (RAM), etc., and is a control circuit that controls the operation of the mounting target work device 100. The controller 11 controls the first mounting target holder 3, the second mounting target holder 4, the conveying unit 5, the transfer unit 6, the head unit 7, the head moving mechanism 8, the component images 9, and the mark image 10 according to a production program for mounting the components E on the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2. (Assembly processing)
[0057] The mounting processing performed by the mounting target work device 100 will now be described with reference to Fig. 7 to 14 are described based on a flowchart. Each step in the flowchart is performed by the controller 11.
[0058] As in Fig. 7, first, in step S1, it is determined whether or not the mounting operation is being performed on the second mounting target P2. If it is determined that the mounting operation is being performed on the second mounting target P2, the processing proceeds to step S2. Then, in step S2 to step S9, the carrying-in of the second mounting target P2, the mounting on the second mounting target P2, and the carrying-out of the second mounting target P2 are performed. If it is determined that the mounting operation is not being performed on the second mounting target P2 (the mounting operation is being performed on the first mounting target P1), the processing proceeds to step S10. Then, in step S10 to step S12 and step S9, the carrying-in of the second mounting target P2, the mounting on the second mounting target P2, and the carrying-out of the second mounting target P2 are performed. The carrying in of the second mounting target P2, the mounting on the second mounting target P2 and the carrying out of the second mounting target S2 in step S2 to step S9 will now be described.
[0059] First, in step S2, as in Fig. 8, the second mounting target P2 placed on the placement member 90 is carried in by the conveying unit 5 from outside the apparatus and is conveyed to the transfer stop position B2. Next, in step S3, as shown in Fig. 9, the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is transferred from the conveyor unit 5 to the first transfer section 61 of the transfer unit 6. In step S3, the first transfer section 61 moves upward (Z1 direction) from the retracted position to the transfer position, such that the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is transferred from the conveyor unit 5 to the first transfer section 61. Then, in step S3, the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is conveyed along the Y direction by the first transfer section 61 so that it passes over the conveyor unit 5 and is transferred from the first transfer section 61 to the second transfer section 62.
[0060] Next, in step S4, as shown in Fig. 10, the second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) is conveyed from the second transfer section 62 of the transfer unit 6 to the holding stop position B3. Thus, in step S4, the second mounting target P2 (placement element 90) is transferred to the second mounting target work area 2.
[0061] Next, in step S5, the second mounting target P2 (the held portion 90b of the placement member 90) is held by the holder 44 of the second mounting target holder 4 in the holding stop position B3.
[0062] Next, in step S6, as shown in Fig. 11, the pair of conveyors 62a of the second transfer section 62 are moved in the X direction to be spaced apart from each other. Thus, in step S6, the pair of conveyors 62a of the second transfer section 62 are retracted.
[0063] Next, in step S7, the components E from the head unit 7 are mounted on the mounting target surfaces P2a of the second mounting target P2 held by the holder 44 of the second mounting target holder 4. In step S7, the second mounting target P2 is moved along the up-down direction, or is rotated or tilted by the second mounting target holder 4 such that the orientations and positions of the mounting target surfaces P2a of the second mounting target P2 enable the head unit 7 to perform mounting. For example, the second mounting target P2 is rotated or tilted such that the mounting target surfaces P2a of the second mounting target P2 are substantially parallel to the horizontal plane. In addition, for example, the second mounting target P2 is moved along the up-down direction such that the mounting target surfaces P2a of the second mounting target P2 are at heights at which the head unit 7 can perform mounting. When the mounting operation on the second mounting target P2 in the second mounting target work area 2 is completed, the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is placed by the second mounting target holder 4 at a predetermined position where the second mounting target P2 can be received by the second transfer section 62. Then, the pair of conveyors 62a of the second transfer section 62 are moved in the X direction to be closer to each other, so that the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) placed at a predetermined position is received by the pair of conveyors 62a of the second transfer section 62.
[0064] Next, in step S8, as shown in Fig. 12, the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is transferred from the first transfer section 61 and the second transfer section 62 of the transfer unit 6 to the conveyor unit 5. In step S8, first, the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is transferred along the Y direction from the second transfer section 62 to be transferred from the second transfer section 62 to the first transfer section 61. Next, the second mounting target P2 is transferred from the first transfer section 61 along the Y direction, and the first transfer section 61 is moved downward (Z2 direction) from the transfer position to the retracted position, so that the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is transferred from the first transfer section 61 to the conveyor unit 5. Thus, the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) is transferred from the second mounting target work area 2 to the conveyor unit 5.The transferred second mounting target P2 is placed at the transfer stop position B2.
[0065] Next, in step S9, the second mounting target P2 located at the transfer stop position B2 is transferred from the conveyor unit 5 along the X direction and carried out. Then, the processing for mounting on the second mounting target P2 is completed.
[0066] The carrying in of the first mounting target P1, the mounting on the first mounting target P1 and the carrying out of the first mounting target S1 in step S10 to step S12 and step S9 will now be described.
[0067] First, in step S10, as shown in Fig. 14, the first mounting target P1 is carried in by the conveyor unit 5 from outside the apparatus and is conveyed to the mounting stop position B1.
[0068] Next, in step S11, the first mounting target P1 located at the mounting stop position B1 is held by the mounting target fixing unit 31 and the mounting target support 32 of the first mounting target holder 3. In step S11, the mounting target fixing unit 31 is moved from the retracted position to the fixing position such that both ends of the first mounting target P1 are fixed in the Y direction by the pair of clamps 31a of the mounting target fixing unit 31. In step S11, the mounting target support 32 is moved upward from the retracted position to the supporting position such that the lower portion of the first mounting target P1 is supported from below by the plurality of locking pins 32a of the mounting target support 32.
[0069] Next, in step S12, the head unit 7 mounts the components E on the mounting target surface P1a of the first mounting target P1 held by the mounting target fixing unit 31 and the mounting target support 32 of the first mounting target holder 3. In step S12, in a state where the first mounting target P1 is fixed at the mounting stop position B1, the components E are mounted on the mounting target surface P1a of the first mounting target P1 substantially parallel to the horizontal plane. Next, in step S9, the first mounting target P1 located at the mounting stop position B1 is conveyed by the conveying unit 5 along the X direction and is carried out. Then, the processing of mounting on the first mounting target P1 is completed. (Effects of the first embodiment)
[0070] According to the first embodiment, the following effects are achieved.
[0071] According to the first embodiment, as described above, the first mounting target work area 1 and the second mounting target work area 2 are provided. Accordingly, the mounting operation can be performed on the first mounting target P1, which has a flat plate shape (has a simple shape), in the first mounting target work area 1 of the mounting target work device 100, and the mounting operation can be performed on the second mounting target P2, which has a three-dimensional shape (has a complicated shape) compared to the first mounting target P1, in the second mounting target work area 2 of the mounting target work device 100. Thus, in one mounting target work device 100, the mounting operation can be performed on both the first mounting target P1, which has a simple shape, and the second mounting target P2, which has a complicated shape. In addition, the mounting operation on both the first mounting target P1 having a simple shape and the second mounting target P2 having a complicated shape can be performed by the same head unit 7, and thus, even if the mounting operation on both the first mounting target P1 having a simple shape and the second mounting target P2 having a complicated shape is performed in one mounting target working device 100, the complexity of the device structure can be significantly reduced or prevented.
[0072] According to the first embodiment, as described above, the mounting target work device 100 includes the first mounting target holder 3 that holds the first mounting target P1 when the mounting operation is performed on the first mounting target P1 by the head unit 7 in the first mounting target work area 1, and the second mounting target holder 4 that holds the second mounting target P2 and moves the held second mounting target P2 along the up-down direction or rotates or tilts the held second mounting target P2 when the mounting operation is performed on the second mounting target P2 by the head unit 7 in the second mounting target work area 2. Moreover, the first mounting target work area 1 is the area where the first mounting target holder 3 is arranged, and the second mounting target work area 2 is the area where the second mounting target holder 4 is arranged.Accordingly, the first mounting target P1 is held by the first mounting target holder 3 such that the mounting operation on the first mounting target P1 can be stably performed in the first mounting target work area 1. In addition, the second mounting target P2 is held by the second mounting target holder 4 such that the mounting operation on the second mounting target P2 can be stably performed in the second mounting target work area 2. Moreover, the second mounting target holder 4 moves the second mounting target P2 along the up-down direction or rotates or tilts the second mounting target P2 such that the mounting operation can be easily performed even on the second mounting target P2 having a complicated shape (three-dimensional shape).
[0073] According to the first embodiment, the first mounting target work area 1 and the second mounting target work area 2 are arranged at different positions from each other, as described above. Accordingly, the first mounting target holder 3 arranged in the first mounting target work area 1 and the second mounting target holder 4 arranged in the second mounting target work area 2 can be arranged at different positions from each other. Consequently, compared to the case where the first mounting target holder 3 and the second mounting target holder 4 are arranged at the same position, a space in which the first mounting target holder 3 is arranged and a space in which the second mounting target holder 4 is arranged can be easily secured.
[0074] According to the first embodiment, as described above, the assembly target work device 100 includes the conveyor unit 5, which includes the conveyor path 5a through which the first assembly target P1 and the second assembly target P2 are carried in, conveyed, and carried out. Moreover, the first assembly target work area 1 is arranged in the conveyor path 5a. Accordingly, unlike the case where the first assembly target work area 1 is arranged outside the conveyor path 5a, the conveyor unit 5 conveys only the first assembly target P1 along the conveyor path 5a, so that the first assembly target P1 can be arranged in the first assembly target work area 1. Consequently, the time elapsed between carrying in the first assembly target P1 and arranging the first assembly target P1 in the first assembly target work area 1 can be shortened. This effect is particularly effective when the throughput of the first assembly target P1 is higher than the throughput of the second assembly target P2.
[0075] According to the first embodiment, as described above, the second mounting target work area 2 is arranged outside the conveying path 5a. Accordingly, the second mounting target holder 4 can be arranged outside the conveying path 5a in which the first mounting target holder 3 is arranged, and thus the space in which the second mounting target holder 4 is arranged can be easily secured outside the conveying path 5a. In addition, the second mounting target holder 4 is not arranged in the conveying path 5a, so the size of the arrangement space in the conveying path 5a can be increased, and thus the space in which the first mounting target holder 3 is arranged can be easily secured in the conveying path 5a.
[0076] According to the first embodiment, as described above, the mounting target work apparatus 100 includes the transfer unit 6, which receives the second mounting target P2 from the conveyor unit 5 and transfers the second mounting target P2 to the second mounting target work area 2. Accordingly, even if the second mounting target work area 2 is located outside the conveyance path 5a, the second mounting target P2 carried into the apparatus by the conveyor unit 5 can be easily moved by the transfer unit 6 to the second mounting target work area 2.
[0077] According to the first embodiment, as described above, the transfer unit 6 includes the first transfer section 61 disposed in the conveying path 5a, which is movable in the up-down direction and receives the second mounting target P2 from the conveying unit 5, and the second transfer section 62 disposed outside the conveying path 5a, which receives the second mounting target P2 from the first transfer section 61 and transfers the second mounting target P2 to the second mounting target work area 2. Moreover, the first transfer section 61, the second transfer section 62, and the second mounting target work area 2 are arranged side by side in a direction orthogonal to the conveying direction in the conveying path 5a.Accordingly, the second mounting target P2 can be transferred from the conveyor unit 5 through the first transfer section 61 and the second transfer section 62 to the second mounting target work area 2, avoiding the conveyor unit 5. In addition, the first transfer section 61, the second transfer section 62, and the second mounting target work area 2 are arranged side by side in the direction orthogonal to the conveying direction in the conveying path 5a, so that a distance from the conveyor unit 5 to the second mounting target work area 2 can be shortened, and thus the time required to transfer the second mounting target P2 from the conveyor unit 5 to the second mounting target work area 2 can be shortened.
[0078] According to the first embodiment, as described above, the first transfer section 61 is arranged at a position different from that of the first mounting target work area 1 in the conveying path 5a. Accordingly, even in the conveying path 5a having a small arrangement space, spaces in which the first mounting target holder 3 and the first transfer section 61 of the transfer unit 6 are arranged can be easily secured in the conveying path 5a.
[0079] According to the first embodiment, as described above, in the mounting target work apparatus 100, after the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation on the second mounting target P2, the second transfer section 62 receives the second mounting target P2, the second transfer section 62 transfers the second mounting target P2 to the first transfer section 61, and the first transfer section 61 transfers the second mounting target P2 to the conveyor unit 5. Accordingly, the second mounting target P2 can be easily transferred from the second mounting target work area 2 to the conveyor unit 5 through the first transfer section 61 and the second transfer section 62 of the transfer unit 6. [Second embodiment]
[0080] A second embodiment will now be described with reference to Fig. 15 and Fig. 16. In this second embodiment, an example will be described in which, unlike the aforementioned first embodiment, a first transfer section of a transfer unit is arranged in a first mounting target work area of a conveying path. The same structures as those of the aforementioned first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals in the figures, and a description thereof will be omitted. (Structure of the assembly target work device)
[0081] A mounting target work device 200 according to the second embodiment of the present invention differs from the mounting target work device 100 according to the aforementioned first embodiment in that the mounting target work device 200 includes a first mounting target holder 103 as shown in Fig. 15 shown.
[0082] In the second embodiment, the first mounting target holder 103 is arranged at substantially the same position as a first transfer section 61 of a transfer unit 6 in a conveying path 5a. Specifically, the first mounting target holder 103 is arranged in a space formed between a pair of conveyors 61a of the first transfer section 61, which are spaced apart from each other in an X direction. Thus, in the second embodiment, the first transfer section 61 is arranged in a first mounting target work area 101 of the conveying path 5a, and the first mounting target work area 101 (first mounting target holder 103) and a second mounting target work area 2 (second mounting target holder 4) are arranged side by side in a Y direction. In the second embodiment, a transfer stop position B2 and a mounting stop position B4 are substantially the same.
[0083] In the second embodiment, the first mounting target holder 103 comprises, as shown in Fig. 16, a mounting target fixing unit 131 is shown. The mounting target fixing unit 131 is a clamping mechanism that fixes a first mounting target P1 when a head unit 7 performs a mounting operation on the first mounting target P1 in the first mounting target work area 101. The mounting target fixing unit 131 includes a pair of clamps 131a spaced from each other in the Y direction, and fixes both ends of the first mounting target P1 in the Y direction by means of the pair of clamps 131a.
[0084] The pair of clamps 131a of the mounting target fixing unit 131 is movable between retracted positions where the pair of clamps 131a does not contact the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) moved by the first transfer section 61, and fixing positions where the pair of clamps 131a fixes the first mounting target P1 when the pair of clamps 131a does not fix the first mounting target P1, and the second mounting target P2 is transferred to the first transfer section 61. Specifically, the pair of clamps 131a is movable between the retracted positions and the fixing positions by rotating about a rotation axis A3 extending along the X direction. Moreover, the pair of clamps 131a rotates from the fixing positions to the retracted positions such that a width between the pair of clamps 131a in the Y direction is increased. The pair of clamps 131a are located in the retracted positions when the first mounting target P1 or the second mounting target P2 is transferred and when the second mounting target P2 is moved by the first transfer section 61 of the transfer unit 6, and the pair of clamps 131a are located at the fixing positions when the first mounting target P1 is fixed.
[0085] Therefore, in the mounting target working device 200, the first transfer section 61 of the transfer unit 6 receives the second mounting target P2 from a conveyor unit 5 in a state where the mounting target fixing unit 131 is retracted to the retracted position, and moves upward (Z1 direction) to a transfer position. In the second embodiment, the first transfer section 61, located at the transfer position, passes over (Z1 direction) the conveyor unit 5 and the pair of clamps 131a located at the retracted positions, and transfers the second mounting target P2 (placement member 90) to a second transfer section 62.
[0086] The remaining structures of the second embodiment are similar to those of the aforementioned first embodiment. (Effects of the second embodiment)
[0087] According to the second embodiment, the following effects are achieved.
[0088] According to the second embodiment, as described above, the first transfer section 61 is arranged in the first assembly target working area 101 of the conveying path 5a. Accordingly, the conveying path 5a can be shortened compared to the case where the first transfer section 61 of the transfer unit and the first assembly target working area 101 are arranged at different positions in the conveying path 5a, and thus the assembly target working device 200 can be miniaturized accordingly.
[0089] According to the second embodiment, as described above, the first mounting target holder 103 includes the mounting target fixing unit 131 that fixes the first mounting target P1 when the head unit 7 performs the mounting operation on the first mounting target P1 in the first mounting target work area 101. Moreover, in the mounting target work device 200, in a state where the mounting target fixing unit 131 is retracted, the first transfer section 61 of the transfer unit 6 receives the second mounting target P2 from the conveyor unit 5. Accordingly, when the first transfer section 61 of the transfer unit receives the second mounting target P2 from the conveyor unit 5, the mounting target fixing unit 131 of the first mounting target holder 103 can be prevented from interfering with the transfer operation.
[0090] The remaining effects of the second embodiment are similar to those of the aforementioned first embodiment. [Third Embodiment]
[0091] A third embodiment will now be described with reference to Fig. 17. In this third embodiment, an example will be described in which, unlike the aforementioned first and second embodiments, both a first mounting target work area and a second mounting target work area are arranged in one conveyance path. The same structures as those of the aforementioned first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals in the figures, and a description thereof will be omitted. (Structure of the assembly target work device)
[0092] A mounting target work apparatus 300 according to the third embodiment of the present invention differs from the mounting target work apparatus 100 according to the aforementioned first embodiment in that the second mounting target holder 4 is arranged in a conveying path 5a and no transfer unit 6 is provided as in Fig. 17. Thus, in the third embodiment, a second mounting target work area 202 is arranged in the conveying path 5a, and a first mounting target work area 1 (first mounting target holder 3) and the second mounting target work area 202 (second mounting target holder 4) are arranged side by side in an X direction. Furthermore, in the third embodiment, a holding stop position B5 is located in the conveying path 5a.
[0093] The remaining structures of the third embodiment are similar to those of the aforementioned first embodiment. (Effects of the third embodiment)
[0094] According to the third embodiment, the following effects are achieved.
[0095] According to the third embodiment, the second mounting target work area 202 is arranged in the conveying path 5a, as described above. Accordingly, unlike the case where the second mounting target work area 202 is arranged outside the conveying path 5a, it is not necessary to provide a device that transfers a second mounting target P2 from the conveying path 5a to the second mounting target work area 202 arranged outside the conveying path 5a. Consequently, the structure of the mounting target work device 300 can be simplified. Moreover, it is not necessary to transfer the second mounting target P2 from the conveyance path 5a to the second mounting target work area located outside the conveyance path 5a, and thus, compared with the case where the second mounting target work area is located outside the conveyance path 5a, the time elapsed between carrying the second mounting target P2 into the apparatus and arranging the second mounting target P2 in the second mounting target work area 202 can be shortened.
[0096] The remaining effects of the third embodiment are similar to those of the aforementioned first embodiment. (Modified examples)
[0097] The embodiments disclosed herein are intended to be illustrative and not restrictive in all respects. The scope of the present invention is not determined by the above description of the embodiments, but by the scope of the claims. Furthermore, all modifications (modified examples) within the meaning and scope equivalent to the scope of the claims are also included.
[0098] For example, although the example is shown in each of the aforementioned first to third embodiments in which the head unit includes the mounting heads that mount the components to the bonding member such as a solder, the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0099] For example, the head unit may include inspection heads that inspect the assembly target. In such a case, the first assembly target work area is a region in which the head unit performs an inspection operation on the first assembly target having a simple shape, and the second assembly target work area is a region in which the head unit performs the inspection operation on the second assembly target having a complex shape. Thus, in one assembly target work device, the inspection heads can inspect both the first assembly target having a simple shape and the second assembly target having a complex shape.
[0100] Alternatively, the head unit may include insertion heads that insert wiring components to be inserted into through holes formed in the mounting target into the mounting target. In such a case, the first mounting target working area is an area in which the head unit performs an insertion operation on the first mounting target having a simple shape, and the second mounting target working area is an area in which the head unit performs the insertion operation on the second mounting target having a complex shape. Thus, in one mounting target working device, the insertion heads can insert the wiring components into both the first mounting target having a simple shape and the second mounting target having a complex shape. Moreover, when the lead components are inserted, a clinching operation for bending leads of the lead components inserted into the through-holes, a cutting operation for cutting the leads of the lead components inserted in the through-holes, or a spot reflow operation for heating a bonding member such as solder applied to the lead of the lead components may be performed.
[0101] Alternatively, the head unit may include application heads that apply a bonding member, such as solder, to the mounting target. In such a case, the first mounting target working area is an area where the head unit performs an application operation on the first mounting target having a simple shape, and the second mounting target working area is an area where the head unit performs the application operation on the second mounting target having a complicated shape. Thus, in one mounting target working device, the application heads may apply the bonding member to both the first mounting target having a simple shape and the second mounting target having a complicated shape. Alternatively, the head unit may include at least two of mounting heads, inspection heads, insertion heads, and application heads. For example, the head unit may include the mounting heads and the application heads. In such a case, in an assembly target work device, the assembly heads can mount the components on a bonding element applied by means of the application heads.
[0102] Although the example in which the first mounting target work area (first mounting target holder) and the second mounting target work area (second mounting target holder) are arranged at mutually different positions was shown in each of the aforementioned first to third embodiments, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the first mounting target work area (first mounting target holder) and the second mounting target work area (second mounting target holder) may be arranged at substantially the same position. Although the example in which the second mounting target is conveyed in a state where it is placed on the placement member was shown in each of the aforementioned first to third embodiments, the present invention is not limited to this. According to the present invention, the second mounting target itself can be directly conveyed without being placed on the placement member.
[0103] Although the example in which the first mounting target work area (first mounting target holder) is arranged in the conveying path and the second mounting target work area (second mounting target holder) is arranged outside the conveying path was shown in each of the aforementioned first and second embodiments, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the second mounting target work area (second mounting target holder) may be arranged in the conveying path, and the first mounting target work area (first mounting target holder) may be arranged outside the conveying path.
[0104] Although in each of the aforementioned first and second embodiments, the example in which the transfer unit transfers the second mounting target (placement element) from the conveyor unit to the second mounting target work area by means of two transfer mechanisms (the first transfer section and the second transfer section) was shown, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the transfer unit may transfer the second mounting target from the conveyor unit to the second mounting target work area by means of one or more than two transfer mechanisms.
[0105] Although in each of the aforementioned first and second embodiments, the example in which the first transfer section of the transfer unit extends above the conveyor unit and transfers the second mounting target (placement element) to the second transfer section was shown, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, after receiving the second mounting target (placement element) from the conveyor unit, the first transfer section of the transfer unit may extend below the conveyor unit and transfer the second transfer target (placement element) to the second transfer section.
[0106] Although in each of the aforementioned first and second embodiments, the example was shown in which, when the second mounting target (placement member) held by the second mounting target holder is rotated or tilted, the pair of conveyors of the second transfer section of the transfer unit are retracted to the positions where the pair of conveyors do not contact the rotated or tilted second mounting target (placement member), the present invention is not limited to this. According to the present invention, when the second mounting target (placement member) held by the second mounting target holder is rotated or tilted, the pair of conveyors of the second transfer section of the transfer unit may not be retracted unless they contact the rotated or tilted second mounting target (placement member).
[0107] Although the aforementioned third embodiment showed the example in which the pair of clamps of the mounting target fixing unit rotates from the fixing positions to the retracted positions so that the width between the pair of clamps in the Y direction is increased, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the pair of clamps of the mounting target fixing unit may be shifted from the fixing positions to the retracted positions so that the width between the pair of clamps in the Y direction is increased.
