Description

Technical FieldThe present invention relates to an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body, and more particularly, to an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body embedded in a surface of a metal body such as a vehicle roof.Prior ArtAntenna devices each mounted on a vehicle and supporting multiple frequency bands, including, for example, AM / FM bands, include various types such as pillar antennas, roof antennas, and glass antennas. Unfortunately, a pillar antenna with its large amount of protrusion is more prone to bending by touch, etc. The roof antenna must be tilted flat or removed from the body in a multi-deck parking garage or automatic car wash because of the large floor height. In addition, a glass antenna could increase the development cost because it requires specific, model-based development.Recently, there is an increasing trend to add weight to the vehicle design, and therefore, the antenna devices to be mounted on vehicles are required to impair the appearance of the vehicles as little as possible. In order to meet this demand, various types of antenna devices that are incorporated into a spoiler have already been developed (e.g., Patent Document 1 or Patent Document 2).The above-mentioned spoiler-incorporated type is good in horizontal polarization characteristics but not good in vertical polarization characteristics. In addition, the spoiler-installed type is disposed away from a metal body, and thus requires countermeasures against noise radiated from electrical components inside the vehicle.Under these circumstances, an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body that can be embedded in a vehicle body and has improved horizontal / vertical polarization characteristics has also been developed (Patent Document 3). The antenna device disclosed in Patent Document 3 has a grounded antenna element disposed in a vehicle body opening, and uses a ground bracket with which a circuit board having a feeding part is directly grounded to a vehicle pillar. From Patent Document 4, there is known an antenna navigation system including: a board; a housing for accommodating the board; and an antenna element integrated with the housing, wherein the housing at least partially includes a metal portion, and the metal portion serves as a ground of the antenna element. From Patent Document 5, a portable radio communication apparatus is known, which comprises: an antenna; an insulating case having an inner surface and a circuit board including a radio circuit having a ground pattern and an antenna pad, the antenna being a conductive layer coated on a predetermined portion of the inner surface of the insulating case; a conductive ground layer coated on the remaining portion of the inner surface of the insulating case at a constant distance from the outer periphery of the conductive antenna layer; a first conductive part connecting the antenna to the conductive ground layer; a plurality of second conductive parts connecting the conductive ground layer to the ground pattern; and a feeding part connecting the conductive antenna layer to the antenna pad.List of ReferencesPatent DocumentsPatent Document 1: Japanese Patent Application Publication JP 2014-216 661 APatent Document 2: Japanese Patent Application Publication JP 2016-12 915 APatent Document 3: Japanese Patent Application Publication JP 2019-71 548 APatent Document 4: DE 10 2004 043 234 A1Patent Document 5: EP 0 531 164 A1EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTIONProblems to be Solved by the InventionSince the vehicle body embedded antenna device according to Patent Document 3 is disposed in the body opening, it is necessary to cavity the vehicle body corresponding to the antenna element. However, some vehicle manufacturers have a concern of hollowing out the vehicle body. In addition, this may also require countermeasures against noise radiated from electrical components within the vehicle. Therefore, an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body needs to be developed in which it is not necessary to hollow the vehicle body and take countermeasures against noise radiated from electrical components inside the vehicle. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body that can be embedded in a recess formed in a vehicle metal body.Means for Solving the ProblemsIn order to achieve the above object of the present invention, an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention includes: a plate-like antenna element having a planar plate part disposed inside a tub-like part at an as high as possible level therein so as to be substantially parallel to the metal body surface; a circuit board disposed inside the tub-like part so as not to overlap the plate-like antenna element when viewed from above, and a feeding part connected to the plate-like antenna element; and a fixed conductive part electrically conductively connected to both the circuit board and the tub-like part and fixed to the lower portion of the tub-like part through the fixing hole formed in the lower portion of the tub-like part. The lower portion of the trough-shaped part may have two depth planes, namely, a deep portion and a flat portion, and the plate-like antenna element may be disposed in the deep portion as viewed from above and the circuit board may be disposed in the flat portion as viewed from above. The antenna device embedded in a vehicle body may further include a signal transmitting / receiving terminal disposed on the rear surface side of the flat portion of the tub-shaped part. The fixed conductive part may include a ground base disposed immediately below the circuit board and electrically conductively connected to a ground of the circuit board, and a receptacle fixed to the ground base through the fixing hole formed in the lower portion of the tub-shaped part and electrically conductively connected to the tub-shaped part. The antenna device embedded in a vehicle body may further include a grounded antenna element disposed on the circuit board. The grounded antenna element may be disposed within the trough-shaped part at the highest possible level therein. The antenna device embedded in a vehicle body may further include a waterproof case, and the circuit board may be covered by the waterproof case. The antenna device embedded in a vehicle body may further include an insulating base part that supports a lower surface of the plate-like antenna element from the lower portion of the tub-shaped part.Advantageous Effects of the InventionThe vehicle body embedded antenna device according to the present invention has an advantage that deterioration of antenna performance can be prevented even when embedded in a recess formed in a vehicle metal body.Brief Description of the DrawingsFIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view for explaining an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional side view for explaining the antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention. FIG. 3 is a schematic perspective view for explaining another example of the antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention. FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional side view for explaining another example of the vehicle body embedded antenna device according to the present invention. FIG. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional side view for explaining another example of the vehicle body embedded antenna device according to the present invention.Best Mode for Carrying Out the InventionHereinafter, an embodiment for realizing the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view for explaining an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention. FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional side view for explaining the antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention. In the drawings, the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 denote the same parts. The vehicle body embedded antenna device according to the present invention is embedded in a recess formed by recessing a vehicle metal body with respect to the surface thereof. In the present description, the recess will be referred to as a trough-shaped part 1 hereinafter. The vehicle metal body may be, for example, a roof or a hood. Further, the vehicle metal body may have any metal structure that can be recessed, such as a vehicle frame. The tub-shaped member 1 is manufactured by recessing the vehicle metal body with respect to the metal body surface by a metal pressing method such as a drawing method. The tub-shaped member 1 may have a fixing hole 2 formed in a lower portion thereof. The mounting hole 2 is used to mount the antenna device embedded in a vehicle body and pass a cable for transmitting / receiving signals. The pan-shaped part 1 can be obtained, for example, by recessing a part of the roof into a rectangular shape having a size matched to the antenna device embedded in a vehicle body, or it can be configured by using a rail disposed in the roof or a roof reinforcement as appropriate. As illustrated, the vehicle body embedded antenna device according to the present invention is substantially constituted of a plate-like antenna element 10, a circuit board 20, and a fixed conductive part 30. These constituent members are embedded in the tub-shaped part 1 of the vehicle body and covered with a cover 3 such as a veneer cover or a glass cover, so that an invisible antenna is finally formed. The plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed inside the tub-shaped part 1 at the highest possible level therein so as to be substantially parallel to the metal body surface. In order that the plate-like antenna element 10 can be disposed inside the tub-shaped part 1 at the highest possible level therein, the plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed to be flush with, for example, a roof surface in an exposed state. When the cover 3 is formed as an adapter as shown, the height of the plate-like antenna element 10 from the roof surface is decreased by the thickness of the cover 3.The tub-shaped member 1 is obtained by working the metal body, and is thus made of a metal plate. Therefore, when the distance between the plate-like antenna element 10 and the lower portion of the tub-shaped member 1 is small, a flat plate portion of the plate-like antenna element 10 and the lower portion of the tub-shaped member 1 are capacitively coupled, which deteriorates the signal receiving performance. To prevent this, in the vehicle body embedded antenna apparatus according to the present invention, the plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed inside the trough-shaped member 1 at the highest possible level therein. As described above, the plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed at a sufficient distance from the lower portion of the tub-shaped member 1 to achieve a sufficient signal receiving power. In other words, the tub-shaped member 1 may have such a depth as to ensure sufficient signal reception performance when the plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed inside the tub-shaped member 1 at the highest possible level therein. In the illustrated example, the plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed substantially at the center of the tub-shaped part 1 when viewed from above. This is because, since the side wall of the tub-shaped part 1 is also made of metal, the plate-like antenna element 10 and the side wall must be separated from each other to such an extent that the influence of the capacitive coupling is eliminated. The plate-like antenna element 10 may have a planar plate part which is substantially parallel, for example to the surface of the vehicle roof. The plate-like antenna element 10 is a grounded antenna having a planar shape and may function like a monopole antenna, for example. The plate-like antenna element 10 has, for example, such an antenna capacitance that functions as a capacitive antenna that supports the AM radio band or the like. In order for the plate-like antenna element 10 according to the present invention to function as a capacitive antenna, the area thereof can be determined so that the planar plate member has sufficient antenna capacity for receiving the AM band. The plate-like antenna element 10 may be formed by processing a metal plate, for example. For example, a rectangular flat plate member may be formed by cutting a metal plate. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, but the plate-like antenna element 10 may be formed by processing a conductive film of a circuit board or a flexible circuit board, for example.Since the planar plate portion of the plate-like antenna element 10 may have sufficient antenna capacity to function as a capacitive antenna supporting the AM band, it may also be a meandering element having an antenna capacity substantially equivalent to that of the planar plate portion. The plate-like antenna element 10 is provided with a feeder 11. The feeder 11 can be formed by, for example, folding the end portion of the flat plate part into a needle shape.Since the planar plate portion of the plate-like antenna element 10 can be disposed inside the tub-like portion 1 at the highest possible level therein so as to be substantially parallel to the metal body surface, the plate-like antenna element 10 can have a portion extending downward from the planar plate portion formed by folding to increase the element length or antenna capacity. In the illustrated example, the plate-like antenna element 10 is formed as a single plate-like antenna element; however, the present invention is not limited thereto, but a plurality of plate-like antenna elements may be provided for different frequency bands. Also in this case, the planar plate portion of the plate-like antenna elements for different frequency bands may be disposed inside the trough-shaped portion at the highest possible level therein so as to be substantially parallel to the metal body surface. The circuit board 20 is disposed inside the tub-shaped part 1 so as not to overlap the plate-like antenna element 10 as viewed from above. That is, the plate-like antenna element 10 is arranged so as not to cover the circuit board 20; however, the vicinity of the feeder 11 may slightly cover the circuit board 20. The circuit board 20 has a feeding part 21 connected to the plate-like antenna element 10. More specifically, the feeder 11 of the plate-like antenna element 10 is connected to the feeding part 21.The circuit board 20 may be, for example, a typical circuit board. On the circuit board 20, there are a coil, an amplifier circuit, and the like. In addition, the circuit board 20 is electrically connected to a signal cable connected to a tuner or the like in the vehicle. In order to stabilize the mass of the circuit board 20, the circuit board 20 is preferably brought close to the metal body. That is, the circuit board 20 is preferably disposed in the vicinity of the lower portion of the tub-shaped part 1.The fixed conductive part 30 is electrically connected to the circuit board 20 and further to the tub-shaped part 1. The fixed conductive member 30 is fixed to the lower portion of the tub-shaped member 1 through the fixing hole 2 formed in the lower portion of the tub-shaped member 1. Accordingly, the circuit board 20 and the trough-shaped member 1 (metal body) serving as the ground of the antenna element are electrically conductive via the fixed conductive member 30. As described above, since the fixed conductive part 30 is fixed to the lower portion of the tub-shaped part 1 through the fixing hole 2, fixing the circuit board 20 to the fixed conductive part 30 results in fixing the vehicle body embedded antenna device to the vehicle body.More specifically, the fixed conductive part 30 may be formed by a ground base 31 and a receptacle 32. The ground base 31 is disposed immediately below the circuit board 20 and electrically conductively connected to the ground of the circuit board 20. The receptacle 32 is fixed to the ground base 31 through the fixing hole 2 formed in the lower portion of the tub-shaped member 1, and electrically connected to the tub-shaped member 1. The receptacle 32 is fixed and fixed to the ground base 31 with a screw 33.The ground base 31 has a screw boss to which the screw 33 is fastened, and the screw boss is positioned at the fastening hole 2 formed in the lower portion of the tub-shaped part 1. The receptacle 32 has, for example, a washer structure having legs, and is configured to be electrically conductively connected to the metal body via claws disposed at the front end of the leg that engage with the lower portion of the tub-shaped part 1.The ground base 31 may be a resin base. Also in this case, the fixed conductive member electrically connected to the ground of the circuit board 20 may be used. Further, a simpler configuration may be used in which the metal body is sandwiched between the circuit board 20 and the sprocket and then fastened with a bolt and a nut.In the vehicle body embedded antenna device according to the present invention, the plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed inside the trough-shaped part 1 at the highest possible level therein as described above, so that it is possible to prevent deterioration of the signal reception performance of the plate-like antenna element 10. In addition, since the plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed inside the tub-shaped part 1, noise radiated from the electrical components inside the vehicle is shielded, so that countermeasures against the noise do not need to be taken.Another example of an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. FIG. 3 is a schematic perspective view for explaining another embodiment of an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention. FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional side view for explaining another embodiment of an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention. In the drawings, the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 denote the same parts. This example is the vehicle body embedded antenna device embedded in the tub-shaped member 1 having the lower portion having two depth planes, namely, a deep portion 1 aand a shallow portion 1 b. As illustrated, the tub-shaped member 1 is formed such that the deep portion 1a has a deep bottom and the shallow portion 1b has a shallow bottom. As in the case of the tub-shaped member 1 according to the above example, the tub-shaped member 1 having the two depth planes can also be manufactured by recessing the vehicle metal body with respect to the metal body surface by metal press working such as drawing. The fixing hole 2 may be formed in the bottom of the flat portion 1b.The plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed in the deep region 1 awhen viewed from above. Also in this example, the plate-like antenna element 10 is disposed inside the tub-shaped part 1 at the highest possible plane therein so as to be substantially parallel to the metal body surface. That is, the plate-like antenna element 10 is separated from the bottom of the deep portion 1a to be disposed inside the trough-shaped member 1 at the highest possible level therein. This can minimize deterioration of the signal reception performance of the plate-like antenna element 10.On the other hand, the circuit board 20 may be disposed in the flat portion 1 bwhen viewed from above. Since the circuit board 20 is preferably disposed in the vicinity of the vehicle metal body serving as the ground thereof, it may be disposed in the flat portion 1b.As described above, the lower portion of the tub-shaped part 1 has a two-step structure of the deep portion 1 aand the flat portion 1 b, and accordingly a space is created on the back surface side (vehicle cabin side) of the flat portion 1 b. Thus, in the illustrated vehicle body embedded antenna apparatus according to the present invention, a terminal for transmitting / receiving signals 40 is disposed on the back surface side of the flat part 1 bof the tub-shaped part 1.By disposing the signal transmitting / receiving terminal 40 at the rear side of the flat portion 1 b, it is possible to eliminate the need for the height of the signal transmitting / receiving terminal 40 to protrude toward the vehicle cabin side, thereby preventing an increase in thickness of the entire structure including the tub-shaped part 1. The connection for transmitting / receiving signals 40 can be designed as a so-called pigtail.Further, as shown, the receptacle 32 of the fixed conductive member 30 may be disposed at the back of the flat portion 1b. Thus, the fixed conductive part 30 does not protrude toward the vehicle cabin side either. As such, an increase in thickness of the entire structure including the tub-shaped part 1 can be prevented. In this example, a grounded antenna element 50 is disposed on the circuit board 20. The grounded antenna element 50 is an antenna element that can be placed on the ground of the circuit board or the metal body. Examples of the grounded antenna element 50 include a patch antenna for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) applications or a digital satellite radio, an inverted-F antenna for Wi-Fi, a high-frequency band monopole antenna element for V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) applications, and the like. Such a grounded antenna element 50 may be suitably disposed on the circuit board 20.For example, when the grounded antenna element is disposed on the circuit board 20, it is preferably disposed inside the trough-shaped part 1 at the highest possible level therein. This is because, when a patch antenna is used as the grounded antenna element, reception performance is deteriorated due to the presence of a metal body within its directivity. In particular, when a metal body is present within an angle of 30° from the horizontal surface of the patch antenna, the reception performance may be deteriorated. The metal body mentioned here comprises the side wall of the tub-shaped part 1 and the plate-like antenna element 10.That is, when the patch antenna is disposed at a low position, there is a possibility that the side wall of the trough-shaped part 1 or the plate-like antenna element 10 is located within the directivity. Therefore, the grounded antenna element 50 can be disposed within the trough-shaped member 1 on the highest possible plane in a region where these metal bodies are not within the directivity. The height of the side wall of the tub-shaped part 1 may be different in the direction of travel of the vehicle. For example, when the tub-shaped member 1 is disposed at the roof rear side of the vehicle, the side wall at the rear side in the traveling direction is generally lower than the side wall at the front side in the traveling direction. In this case, a V2X antenna element disposed on, for example, the circuit board 20 exhibits good reception performance when it is disposed on the side having less influence by the side wall, i.e., the side having a lower side wall.Another example of an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. 5. FIG. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional side view for explaining another example of an antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention. In the drawings, the same reference numerals as in Fig. 4 denote the same parts. Also in this example, the lower portion of the tub-shaped part 1 has two depth planes, the deep portion 1a and the shallow portion 1b.The antenna device embedded in a vehicle body is embedded in the tub-shaped part 1 in this example, and then covered with the cover 3 such as a veneer cover or a glass cover. In this case, there is a possibility that water enters a gap between the cover 3 and the metal body, although no problem arises when complete water / dust tightness is achieved. Therefore, in the example illustrated in FIG. 5, a waterproof case 60 is provided. Since no problem arises when the plate-like antenna element 10 is even in an exposed state, only the circuit board 20 is covered with the waterproof case 60. The circuit board 20 includes an amplifier circuit and the like, so that it is preferably subjected to waterproof treatment. The waterproof case 60 may be configured to cover the entire circuit board 20.When the ground base 31 is used for the fixed conductive member 30, the entire circuit board 20 including the ground base 31 can be covered. Then, a hole is formed at a position corresponding to the screw boss to which the screw 33 of the waterproof case 60 is fastened, and the surrounding portion thereof may be subjected to water- or dust-proof treatment using a gasket or the like according to requirements. As illustrated, in this example, the plate-like antenna element 10 is not covered with the waterproof case 60. When the plate-like antenna element 10 is covered with the waterproof case 60, it is brought close to the lower portion of the tub-shaped part 1 by the surface side thickness of the waterproof case 60.In this way, the plate-like antenna element 10 which has no problem in an exposed state is not covered with the waterproof case 60 and is disposed inside the tub-shaped part 1 at the highest possible level therein. When the tub-shaped member 1 has a sufficient depth, the plate-like antenna element 10 can be covered with the waterproof case 60.Further, the feeding part 21 connected to the plate-like antenna element 10 may be suitably insert molded into the waterproof case 60. When the feeding part 21 is configured to be exposed outside the waterproof case 60, it is possible to connect the feeding 11 of the plate-like antenna element 10 to the circuit board 20 while maintaining the waterproof property. In order that the plate-like antenna element 10 can be fixed inside the trough-shaped part 1 at the highest possible level therein, a base part can be provided. In the example of FIG. 5, as the base part, an insulating base part 70 that supports the lower surface of the plate-like antenna element 10 from the lower portion of the tub-shaped part 1 is used. The insulating base part 70 supports the plate-like antenna element 10 from the bottom and has no influence on the top of the plate-like antenna element 10.The waterproof case 60 and the insulating base 70 may both be made of resin or the like so that they can be integrally formed with each other. Specifically, the lower surface of the waterproof case 60 and the insulating base 70 are formed in one piece, and the separately formed upper surface of the waterproof case 60 is used to cover the circuit board 20.As described above, the illustrated vehicle body embedded antenna device according to the present invention can be constructed to be divided into a waterproof area on the circuit board 20 side and a non-waterproof area on the plate-like antenna element 10 side. The back surface of the insulating base 70 may generate noise due to vibrations caused by the direct contact with the tub-shaped part 1. To counteract this, a buffer material may be suitably inserted between the back side of the insulating base part 70 and the trough-shaped part 1.An antenna device embedded in a vehicle body according to the present invention is not limited to the examples illustrated above, but may be modified in various ways without departing from the scope of the present invention.List of reference characters1 Trough-shaped part 1a Deep region 1b Flat region 2 Mounting hole 3 Cover 10 Plate-like antenna element 11 Feeder 20 Circuit board 21 Feeding part 30 Fixed conductive part 31 Grounding base 32 Receptacle 33 Screw 40 Terminal for transmitting / receiving signals 50 Grounded antenna element 60 Waterproof case 70 Insulating base part
