[0025] DETAILED STATEMENT OF IMPROVEMENTS

[0026] Fig. 1 shows a connecting rod 100 according to a first embodiment and Fig. 2 shows a connecting rod according to a second embodiment. Generally speaking, the first embodiment corresponds to a connecting rod 100 whose two ends are equipped with a female clevis-type fastening means 106, 108, and the second embodiment corresponds to a connecting rod 200 whose two ends are equipped with a male clevis-type fastening means 206, 208. Of course, it is possible to have a male clevis at one end and a female clevis at the other end.

[0027] Fig. 3 shows an example of a male clevis 208.

[0028] Each connecting rod 100, 200 has an inner bar 102, 202 and an outer bar 104, 204.

[0029] The two bars 102, 202, 104, 204 are cylindrical and the inner bar 102, 202 is threaded into the outer bar 104, 204.

[0030] The connecting rod body 100, 200 is thus cylindrical, which allows better resistance to buckling under compressive stress, and the doubling of the bars provides greater safety in the event of an incident on one or the other of the bars.

[0031] For each bar 102, 202, 104, 204, the connecting rod 100, 200 also comprises a first fastening means 106, 206 integral with a first end of the bar 102, 202, 104, 204 and a second fastening means 108, 208 integral with a second end of the bar 102, 202, 104, 204, where, on the one hand, the first fastening means 106, 206 of a bar 102, 202, 104, 204 is distinct from the first fastening means 106, 206 of the other bar 102, 202, 104, 204, and where, on the other hand, the second fastening means 108, 208 of a bar 102, 202, 104, 204 is distinct from the second fixing means 108, 208 of the other bar 102, 202, 104, 204. The first two fixing means 106, 206, respectively, the second two fixing means 108, 208 are independent of each other.

[0032] Each fastening means 106, 206, 108, 208 allows fastening to an external element.

[0033] The doubling of the fastening means and bars also allows the forces to pass through two separate and independent paths and ensures safety in the event of failure of one of the paths.

[0034] The outer bar 104, 204 is thus hollow and the inner bar 102, 202 can be solid or hollow.

[0035] As explained above, at least one of the fastening means 106, 108 takes the form of a female clevis 106, 108 or at least one of the fastening means 206, 208 takes the form of a male clevis 206, 208. In the embodiment shown in [Fig.1], there is a female clevis 106, 108 at each end and in the embodiment of the invention shown in [Fig.2], there is a male clevis 206, 208 at each end, but in an embodiment not shown, it is possible to have a female clevis at one end and a male clevis at the other end.

[0036] In the embodiment shown in [Fig. 1], the female clevis 106, 108 has an internal female clevis 109 integral with the end of the internal bar 102 and an external female clevis 111 attached to the end of the external bar 104. The internal female clevis 109 is arranged inside the external female clevis 111.

[0037] More precisely, here the internal female clevis 109 has an internal shaft 114 (only the bottom is visible here) which is integral with the end of the internal bar 102 and two internal walls 1 lOa-b which are integral with the internal shaft 114. The two internal walls 1 lOa-b face each other and define between them a passage for the introduction of a male clevis of the element to be fixed.

[0038] Here too, the external female clevis 111 has an external shaft 116 which is integral with the end of the external bar 104 and two external walls 112a-b which are integral with the external shaft 116. The two external walls 112a-b face each other and define between them a passage for the introduction of the internal walls 110a-b.

[0039] The inner shaft 114 is housed within the outer shaft 116 and the inner walls 110a-b are between the outer walls 112a-b. Each inner wall 110a-b is supported against an outer wall 112a-b.

[0040] Here, the end of the inner bar 102 is fixed to the bottom of the inner barrel 114, for example by welding or by screwing if disassembly is envisaged, and the end of the outer bar 104 is fitted into the outer barrel 116 and fixed, for example by welding or by screwing if disassembly is envisaged. An embodiment for screwing is shown in [Fig. 2] for the male clevis 206.

[0041] Each of the walls 1 lOa-b, 112a-b is crossed by a bore 120 and all the bores 120 of the same female clevis 106, 108 are coaxial to allow the setting of an axis cooperating with the male clevis of the element to be fixed.

[0042] In the embodiment shown in [Fig.2], the male clevis 206, 208 has an inner male clevis 209 attached to the end of the inner bar 202 and an outer male clevis 211 attached to the end of the outer bar 204. The inner male clevis 209 is arranged inside the outer male clevis 211.

[0043] More precisely, here the inner male clevis 209 has an inner shaft 214 which is integral with the end of the inner bar 202 and an inner wall 210 which is integral with the inner shaft 214.

[0044] Here too, the outer male clevis 211 has an outer shaft 216 which is integral with the end of the outer bar 204 and two outer walls 212a-b which are integral with the outer shaft 216. The two outer walls 212a-b face each other and define between them a passage for the introduction of the inner wall 210.

[0045] The inner barrel 214 is housed within the outer barrel 216 and the inner wall 210 is between the outer walls 212a-b. The outer walls 212a-b are clamped onto the inner wall 210.

[0046] Here, the end of the inner bar 202 is fitted into the inner barrel 214 and fixed for example by welding.

[0047] Similarly, at the level of the male clevis 208, the end of the outer bar 204 is fitted into the outer barrel 216 and fixed for example by welding.

[0048] At the level of the male clevis 206, the end of the outer bar 204 has a thread 302 and the outer barrel 216 has an outer shoulder 304 opposite the outer walls 212a-b.

[0049] The outer shaft 216 is attached to the outer bar 204 by a nut 305 which screws onto the thread 302 of the outer bar 204, sandwiching the outer shoulder 304 by means of an inner flange 306 that the nut 305 has for this purpose. Such an arrangement can be adapted to a female clevis as shown in [Fig. 1], where the outer shaft 116 then has an outer shoulder and the end of the outer bar 104 has a thread to receive a nut.

[0050] Such an arrangement facilitates the assembly and disassembly of the connecting rod 200. Of course, if no disassembly is planned, it is possible to weld the outer bar 204 and the outer barrel 216 to each end. If disassembly is planned at both ends, it is possible to install a nut system at each end.

[0051] Each of the walls 210, 212a-b is crossed by a bore 220 and all the bores 220 of the same male clevis 206, 208 are coaxial to allow the setting of an axis cooperating with the female clevis of the element to be fixed in which the male clevis 206, 208 is placed. The setting of the axes makes it possible to limit the movements of the bars relative to each other parallel to a longitudinal direction of the connecting rod.

[0052] Along a direction parallel to the axis, the inner female clevis 109 and the outer female clevis 111 are in contact so as to prevent transverse movements. Similarly, the inner male clevis 209 is in contact with the outer male clevis 211.

[0053] The bars have a gap between them that prevents any direct contact. Such an arrangement ensures that if one of the bars deforms, the other bar is not necessarily affected.
