Abstract

To provide a method for successfully extracting a groove from a CT image.SOLUTION: An image processing method includes a step of binarizing a CT image, which is acquired by photographing a cross section of a tire with a CT apparatus and in which a plurality of grooves appear, using a threshold value, The image processing method includes: binarizing the CT image to obtain a first image in which a portion of the tire is white and its surroundings is black; converting a color of the groove in the first image into white and reversing black and white to obtain a second image; and determining a black portion in both the first image and the second image as the groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
