Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] In the conventional technology of Patent Document 1, a tire with wheels attached is immersed in a suspended state in liquid in a water tank, and if the tire has a puncture, air bubbles are generated in the water, and an operator finds the air bubbles to confirm the puncture. If the air bubbles generated from the tire are clearly visible to the operator, the puncture can be easily identified, but if the puncture occurs at a position away from the operator or if the air bubbles generated from the tire are small and minute, the operator may overlook the air bubbles.

[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a tire puncture confirmation device that can prevent a puncture location from being overlooked and can easily identify the puncture location. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] The present invention provides a liquid-storing tank capable of accommodating a wheel-mounted tire having a wheel attached thereto; a tire holder that can be placed on the tire already mounted on the wheel and stored in the storage tank; a plurality of hook members each having a first end hooked to the tire pressure body and a second end hooked to the wheel; A shaft body connected to the tire pressing body; a first rotary joint that connects the shaft body and the tire pressing body rotatably around an axis of the shaft body; an arm having a tip end to which the shaft body is connected; a fluid pressure cylinder provided in the storage tank and having a piston rod to which the base end of the arm opposite the tip end is connected, and a cylinder case into which the piston rod is inserted.

[0007] The piston rod may further include a second rotary joint that connects the piston rod and the base end of the arm so as to be rotatable about the axis of the piston rod.

[0008] A positioning body fixed to the cylinder case and having two guide members parallel to each other, wherein the arm is vertically movably fitted between the two guide members in a state of intersecting the central axis of the storage tank perpendicularly.

[0009] The storage tank has a cylindrical peripheral wall portion, a bottom portion closing one opening of the peripheral wall portion, and a plurality of leg bodies connected to the peripheral edge portion defining the one opening of the peripheral wall portion at intervals from each other.

[0010] The plurality of latching members have a chain portion located on the one end side and a hook portion to which the chain portion is joined and located on the other end side.

[0011] The tire pressing body has an outer ring member, an inner ring member arranged coaxially with the outer ring member and having a smaller diameter than the outer ring member, a plurality of rib members arranged radially and fixed coaxially to the outer ring member and the inner ring member, and a plurality of ridge members having portions protruding radially outward from the outer ring member and fixed to the outer ring member and the inner ring member.

Advantages of the Invention

[0012] According to the present invention, a fluid pressure cylinder is provided in the storage tank, and a shaft body is connected to the piston rod of the fluid pressure cylinder. A liquid such as water is stored in the storage tank. A first end of a plurality of hook members is hooked to the tire holder body, and a second end of the plurality of hook members is hooked to the wheel of the tire already mounted on the wheel tire. The tire holder body and the shaft body are connected by a first rotary joint. Therefore, the tire holder body can rotate around the axis of the shaft body by the first rotary joint. A shaft body is connected to the tip end of the arm, and a base end of the arm is connected to the piston rod of the fluid pressure cylinder. The storage tank contains the tire already mounted on the wheel, which is hooked to the tire holder body by the plurality of hook members. Since the liquid is stored in the storage tank, the tire already mounted on the wheel in the storage tank floats due to buoyancy, and when the tire holder body is placed on it, it becomes immersed in the liquid.

[0013] If a tire already on a wheel that is immersed in liquid is punctured, air bubbles will form from the damaged portion of the tire, and an operator can find the air bubbles and determine that the tire already on a wheel is punctured. When an operator checks for a puncture in a tire already on a wheel, because the tire holder is connected to the shaft by the first rotary joint, even if the air bubbles are small and the amount is minute, the operator can manually rotate the tire already on a wheel while it is hooked to the tire holder by the multiple hook members and check the location of the air bubbles in the vicinity of the operator, making it easy to recognize whether or not there is a puncture and where the puncture is. This prevents the puncture from being overlooked, and improves the reliability of the puncture check operation.

[0014] According to the present invention, the piston rod and the base end of the arm are connected by the second rotary joint, so that the arm can be easily rotated relative to the piston rod to carry the tire already on the wheel, which is hooked to the tire presser body by the multiple hook members, into the storage tank and removed from the storage tank to the outside. This reduces the labor required by workers to carry the tire already on the wheel into and out of the storage tank and improves the efficiency of the puncture check work.

[0015] Further, according to the present invention, since a positioning member is provided in the cylinder case of the fluid pressure cylinder, the arm is vertically movably fitted between the two guide members, so that the arm is positioned in a state perpendicular to the central axis of the storage tank. As a result, the wheel-mounted tire suspended by the plurality of latching members on the tire pressing body can be arranged on the central axis of the storage tank, the wheel-mounted tire can be easily and quickly accommodated in the storage tank, and the work of loading the wheel-mounted tire into the storage tank can be facilitated.

[0016] Further, according to the present invention, since one opening of the cylindrical peripheral wall portion of the storage tank is closed by the bottom portion and a plurality of legs are provided at the peripheral edge portion of the peripheral wall portion, for example, compared with a box-shaped storage tank having the outer shape of a rectangular parallelepiped or other polygonal prism, the capacity is small, the storage amount of the liquid can be small, and the usage amount of the liquid can be suppressed.

[0017] Further, according to the present invention, since the latching member has a chain portion and a hook portion, even if the shape and size of the wheel are different, the difference in the latching position of the hook portion to the wheel by the chain portion can be tolerated. Therefore, it is not necessary to prepare a plurality of types of latching members having different sizes according to the type of the wheel, and an increase in the number of parts can be prevented.

[0018] Further, according to the present invention, since it is composed of an outer ring member, an inner ring member, a rib member, and a ridge member, the amount of exposure of the wheel-mounted tire with the tire pressing body mounted in the storage tank from the tire pressing body to the opening side of the storage tank is large, the visibility of the operator to the tire is less obstructed, high visibility of the wheel-mounted tire can be obtained, and the confirmation work of minute bubbles is less obstructed.

The chain portion 16 and the hook portion 17 are joined by, for example, welding. For the plurality of latching members 4, the first end portion 4a of each chain portion 16 is bound by a shackle 24, and the shackle 24 is fixed to the mounting flange 22 by bolts or the like. Such latching members 4 may be made of, for example, steel material.

[0027] The tire presser 3 includes an outer ring member 18, an inner ring member 19 that is arranged coaxially with the outer ring member 18 and has a smaller diameter than the outer ring member 18, a plurality of rib members 20 that are arranged radially and fixed to the outer ring member 18 and the inner ring member 19, a portion 21a that protrudes radially outward from the outer ring member 18, and a plurality of ridge members 21 that are fixed to the respective rib members 20 across between the outer ring member 18 and the inner ring member 19. One end portion on the center side of the plurality of rib members 20 is joined to the mounting flange 22 by, for example, welding and is fixed radially to the outer ring member 18 and the inner ring member 19.

[0028] A bracket 23 for attaching the fluid pressure cylinder CY1 is fixed to the storage tank 2. [0030] A compressed air supply unit 41 in which an air filter (F), a regulator (R), and a lubricator (L) are integrated is fixed to one of the reinforcing ribs 28a by bolts 41a, stays 41b, etc. A flexible pipe such as a pressure-resistant tube is connected to the compressed air supply unit 41, and compressed air from the aforementioned compressed air supply facility is selectively supplied to the ports P1, P2 of the fluid pressure cylinder CY1 through this flexible pipe.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 8 described later, a switching valve V2 for supplying / shutting off compressed air, which is the operating fluid, to the fluid pressure cylinder CY1 is provided at the upper part of the peripheral wall of the storage tank 2. The switching valve V2 may be, for example, a 4-port 2-position switching valve capable of selectively supplying compressed air from the aforementioned compressed air supply facility to each port P1, P2. By an operator operating this switching valve V2, the lifting and lowering operation of the arm 7 by the fluid pressure cylinder CY1 can be controlled.

[0032] At the center of the bottom 14 of the storage tank 2, a drain hole 14a is formed. An elbow 42 is connected to this drain hole 14a, and one end of a nipple 43 is connected to the elbow 42. A two-way valve V1, also called a ball valve, is connected to the other end of the nipple 43. When discharging the liquid in the storage tank 2, the two-way valve V1 is opened by the operator's operation, and the liquid in the storage tank 2 is discharged through the drain hole 14a, the elbow 42, the nipple 43, and the two-way valve V1. When storing new liquid in the storage tank 2, the two-way valve V1 is closed by the operator's operation. In the tire puncture confirmation device 1, when the pressure of the tire T immersed in the liquid in the storage tank 2 has dropped to near atmospheric pressure, in order to easily generate bubbles from the punctured part in the liquid, a hose 44 for supplying air to the tire T in the storage tank 2 is provided. The hose 44 may be made of, for example, urethane resin. The hose 44 is held on the peripheral wall portion 13 by a clip 45, and a filling chuck 57 for connecting to the air valve of the tire T is connected to one end of the hose 44. The other end of the hose 44 is connected to an on-off valve V3. The on-off valve V3 is composed of, for example, a ball valve which is a two-way valve that can be opened and closed by the operator.

[0033] Figure 4 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a specific example of the first rotary joint 6. The aforementioned first rotary joint 6 includes a flange shaft 46, a third sliding bearing 47 mounted on the shaft portion of the flange shaft 46, and a flange pipe 48 mounted on the third sliding bearing 47. The shaft portions of the third sliding bearing 47 and the flange shaft 46 are fitted into the pipe portion of the flange pipe 48. An end plate 50 is fixed to the shaft portion of the flange shaft 46 by bolts 55, and the flange pipe 48 is connected via the third sliding bearing 47. The flange of the flange shaft 46 is coaxially connected to the flange of the shaft body 5 by bolts and nuts. Also, the flange of the flange pipe 48 is connected to the mounting flange 22 of the tire presser body 3 by bolts.

[0034] FIG. 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a specific example of the second rotary joint 10. The second rotary joint 10 is provided at the other end of the shaft portion 32 of the piston rod 8. The second rotary joint 10 includes a straight cylindrical first sliding bearing 53, also referred to as a dry bearing or an oil-less bearing, and a straight cylindrical second sliding bearing 54.

[0035] FIG. 6 is a partially enlarged cross-sectional view showing a state where the piston rod 8 is inserted into the cylinder case 9. One end of the cylinder case 9 is hermetically sealed by a flange pipe 37. The flange pipe 37 has a port P1 and a passage 56. A cylindrical dry bearing 35, O-rings 38, 39, and a cylindrical dry bearing 40 are mounted on the inner peripheral portion of the pipe portion of the flange pipe 37, and an O-ring 36 is mounted on the outer peripheral portion of the pipe portion of the flange pipe 37. Thereby, airtightness between the piston rod 8 and the cylinder case 9 is achieved. The space inside the cylinder case 9 is partitioned by the piston 33 into a first pressure chamber 51 and a second pressure chamber 52. The port P1 communicates with the first pressure chamber 51 through the passage 56, and compressed air is supplied to the first pressure chamber 51 through the port P1.

[0036] Also, a port P2 (see FIG. 3) is formed in the lower flange 9a of the cylinder case 9, and the air in the second pressure chamber 52 is pushed out and exhausted from this port P2 by the piston 33. Thereby, the piston rod 8 can be retracted and the tire T can be lowered. When compressed air is supplied to the port P2, the second pressure chamber 52 is pressurized, and the piston rod 8 extends while the air in the first pressure chamber 51 is discharged from the port P1. Thereby, the tire T rises together with the tire presser 3 and the plurality of latching members 4, and the tire T can be taken out from the storage tank 2.

[0037] FIG. 7 is an enlarged view showing the latching member 4. FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view showing a state in which the tire T is latched to the tire pressing body 3 by a plurality of latching members 4. As described above, the latching member 4 has the chain portion 16 and the hook portion 17. The chain portion 16 may be composed of a link chain in which a plurality of ring-shaped materials 16a are latched to each other. One end portion of the chain portion 16 is connected to the hook portion 17. The hook portion 17 is formed in a substantially J shape and is latched to the hub flange of the wheel W of the wheel-mounted tire T from the inside as shown in FIG. 8, and the tire T can be suspended perpendicular to the axis L1.

[0038] According to the present embodiment, the fluid pressure cylinder CY1 is provided in the storage tank 2, and the shaft body 5 is connected to the piston rod 8 of the fluid pressure cylinder CY1. A liquid such as water is stored in the storage tank 2. The first end portions 4a of a plurality of latching members 4 are latched to the tire pressing body 3, and the second end portions 4b of the plurality of latching members 4 are latched to the hub flange of the wheel W of the wheel-mounted tire T. The tire pressing body 3 and the shaft body 5 are connected by the first rotary joint 6. Therefore, the tire pressing body 3 can rotate around the axis L1 of the shaft body 5 by the first rotary joint 6. The shaft body 5 is connected to the tip end portion 7a of the arm 7, and the base end portion 7b of the arm 7 is connected to the piston rod 8 of the fluid pressure cylinder CY1. The storage tank 2 houses the wheel-mounted tire T latched to the tire pressing body 3 by a plurality of latching members 4. Since the wheel-mounted tire T in the storage tank 2 floats due to buoyancy because the liquid is stored in the storage tank 2, when the tire pressing body 3 is mounted, it is in a state of being immersed in the liquid.

[0039] When the wheel-mounted tire T immersed in the liquid is punctured, air bubbles are generated from the damaged part of the tire T. By the operator finding these air bubbles, it is determined that the wheel-mounted tire T is punctured. In the operation of the operator to check for punctures in the wheel-mounted tire T, since the tire pressing body 3 is connected to the shaft body 5 by the first rotary joint 6, the operator manually rotates the wheel-mounted tire T in a state where it is latched to the tire pressing body 3 by a plurality of latching members 4, and the location where the air bubbles are generated can be confirmed near the operator, and the presence or absence of punctures and the puncture location can be easily recognized. Therefore, overlooking the puncture location can be suppressed, and the reliability of the puncture confirmation operation can be improved.

[0040] Also, according to the present embodiment, since the piston rod 8 and the base end portion 7b of the arm 7 are connected by the second rotary joint 10, the arm 7 can be easily rotated with respect to the piston rod 8, and the wheel-mounted tire T latched to the tire pressing body 3 by a plurality of latching members 4 can be carried into the storage tank 2 and carried out from the storage tank 2 to the outside. Thereby, the operation of carrying the wheel-mounted tire T into and out of the storage tank 2 can be simplified, and the efficiency of the puncture confirmation operation can be improved.

[0041] Also, according to the present embodiment, since the positioning body 11 is provided on the cylinder case 9 of the fluid pressure cylinder CY1, the arm 7 is vertically movably fitted between the two guide members 12a and 12b, so that the arm 7 is guided to move vertically in a state perpendicular to the central axis L3 of the storage tank 2. Thereby, the wheel-mounted tire T suspended by the tire pressing body 3 by a plurality of latching members 4 can be arranged on the central axis L3 of the storage tank 2, the wheel-mounted tire T can be easily accommodated in the storage tank 2, and the operation of carrying the wheel-mounted tire T into the storage tank 2 can be facilitated.

[0042] Also, according to the present embodiment, since one opening of the cylindrical peripheral wall portion 13 of the storage tank 2 is closed by the bottom portion 14 and a plurality of legs 15 are provided at the peripheral edge portion of the peripheral wall portion 13, for example, compared with a box-shaped storage tank having an outer shape of a rectangular parallelepiped or other polygonal prism, the capacity is small, the storage amount of the liquid can be small, and the usage amount of the liquid can be suppressed.

[0043] Also, according to the present embodiment, since the latching member 4 has the chain portion 16 and the hook portion 17, even if the shape and size of the wheel W are different, the difference in the latching position of the hook portion 17 to the wheel W by the chain portion 16 can be tolerated. Therefore, it is not necessary to prepare a plurality of types of latching members 4 having different sizes according to the type of the wheel W, and an increase in the number of parts can be prevented.

[0044] Also, according to the present embodiment, since it is composed of the outer ring member 18, the inner ring member 19, the rib member 20, and the ridge member 21, even when the tire pressing body 3 is mounted in the storage tank 2, the exposure amount of the tire T to the operator is large, the hindrance of the tire T to the visibility can be small, high visibility of the tire T can be obtained, and overlooking of minute air bubbles can be suppressed.

[0045] As described above, the embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail. However, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various changes, improvements, etc. are possible within the scope not departing from the gist of the present invention. Needless to say, all or part of each of the above embodiments can be combined as appropriate within a non-contradictory range.
