Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a color contact lens and a manufacturing method thereof, and more particularly to a color contact lens having excellent wearing comfort and stability and a manufacturing method thereof. [Background technology]

[0002] Contact lenses are thin lenses that can be attached directly to the surface of the cornea of the eye and are broadly divided into hard and soft contact lenses. Recently, silicone hydrogel lenses that combine the advantages of silicone material (hard lenses) with high oxygen permeability and hydrogel material (soft lenses) with good flexibility have been widely produced.

[0003] Contact lenses can also be classified into vision correction, medical treatment, cosmetic contact lenses, etc. according to their functions.

[0004] Cosmetic contact lenses have appeared as another product, color contact lenses, combining women's desire for aesthetic pursuit and the results of product development. People with good eyesight have begun to use color contact lenses with iris patterns of various hues and patterns on the outer part of the contact lens to improve their appearance, i.e. to change the color of the eyes to other colors such as blue, or to make the size of the eyes look larger. These color contact lenses have a transparent central pupil area, i.e., optical zone, for correcting vision, and a specific color and graphic pattern is printed on the remaining surface of the lens, making the size of the eyes look larger or the eyes look like they have a different color. That is, the contact lens is composed of a lens area (optical zone) with a transparent central area so that the pupil is not hidden by the contact lens, and an expansion area (graphic zone) formed on the outer part of the lens area where the pupil is partially overlapped and a specific pattern and pigment are combined to make it look like an eye. Such extensions are pigmented with a certain pattern, such as black, so that when worn on the eyes, the pupils appear larger or the hue of the pupils appears different, such as a different color.

[0005] Korean Patent No. 10-1633757 relates to a printing composition for colored hard contact lenses that is mixed with a pigment to print an iris pattern on the front surface of the hard contact lens, and discloses that by including a resin, a binding agent, a solvent, a binder, and a polymerization inhibitor, it is possible to improve compatibility with the pigment and at the same time improve adhesion to the hard contact lens.

[0006] Korean Patent Publication No. 10-1605159 relates to a printing method for colored hard contact lenses, which prints an iris pattern on the front surface of the hard contact lens. It discloses a preparation step of preparing a hard contact lens, a centering jig, and a printing composition for printing an iris pattern on the hard contact lens, a printing step of mounting the hard contact lens on the centering jig and printing the iris pattern with the printing composition, and a post-processing step of post-processing the hard contact lens with the iris pattern printed thereon. [0069] In the process of obtaining the Boswellia extract, the extraction may be carried out using any extractor commonly used in the art, for example, an extractor equipped with a cooling condenser may be used, which is suitable for preventing the effective ingredients from evaporating during extraction. The extract may be dried by various methods known in the art, for example, using a rotary vacuum evaporator.

[0070] In addition, according to one embodiment of the present invention, the Boswellia extract may be subjected to a conventional purification process. For example, but not limited to, as long as it has a certain molecular weight cut-off value, active fractions obtained through various additional purification methods such as separation using a filtration membrane, separation by various chromatographies (designed for separation according to size, charge, hydrophobicity, or affinity) may be used.

[0071] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the Boswellia extract may be prepared in a powder form by additional processes such as vacuum distillation and freeze-drying or spray-drying.

[0072] The Boswellia extract may contain boswellic acid represented by the following Chemical Formulas 1 to 8.

[0073] [ka] [ka] [ka] [ka] [ka] [ka] [ka] [ka]

[0074] The name of the formula 1 is β-boswellic acid, the formula 2 is 3-O-acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid, the formula 3 is α-boswellic acid, the formula 4 is 11-keto-β-boswellic acid, the formula 5 is 3-acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid, the formula 6 is 3-O-acetyl-β-boswellic acid, and the formula 7 is 3-O-acetyl9,11-dehydroβ-boswellic acid. β-boswellic acid, and chemical formula 8 is 3-O-acetyl-α-boswellic acid.
