Description

[0001] METHOD OF INCREASING VACUUM FLOW RATE IN CNC MACHINES

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The invention relates to vacuum motors and machine systematics used to prevent the cut part from moving in CNC machines where PET, PVC, Balsa parts are processed (cutting, shaping) with the help of cutting tools and specified layout programs.

[0004] The invention particularly relates to the vacuum system of the CNC machine where the vacuum will directly contact the part with the developed o-ring and vacuum apparatus.

[0005] Prior Art

[0006] Today, a vacuum system is used in CNC machines to fix the parts for cutting. In this vacuum system, 3 motors are used.

[0007] In the prior art, vacuum is transmitted to the part through the channelled and perforated MDF on the CNC machine. For this reason, errors are detected due to insufficient vacuum value (mbar) and therefore the parts cannot be fixed.

[0008] In the prior art, more than one vacuum motor is used because the vacuum is applied to the MDF table, not directly to the part. This causes an increase in costs.

[0009] In the prior art, the following operations are performed to partially increase the vacuum value:

[0010] • The vacuum filters of the 3 engines are removed.

[0011] • The removed filters are cleaned with the help of air.

[0012] • Cleaned filters are reinstalled.

[0013] • The machine is started, and the vacuum value is checked.

[0014] • When the vacuum value is not sufficient, the part is fixed with the help of tape, which causes consumable costs.

[0015] Furthermore, when the dust drawn by the vacuum motor clogs the channels of the CNC table, it causes a decrease in the flow rate and a defect in the part is encountered. The following operations are performed to increase this flow rate;

[0016] • The MDF in the CNC table is removed.

[0017] • CNC table channels are cleaned.

[0018] • After cleaning, the MDF is connected to CNC table again.

[0019] As a result of the searches conducted in the literature, it comes across various structures related to the pipe clamps. One of these is a utility model with application TR2015 / 02805, titled "Vacuum Table Bench Developed for CNC Milling Machines". In the summary of the invention with classification class B23Q 3 / 00, it is stated the "this invention relates to a vacuum table workbench for fixing the part to be processed in CNC milling machines." expression.

[0020] In the above-mentioned application, the vacuum reaches the CNC table, then the MDF table and from there to the part. This prevents the vacuum from acting with full efficiency. Therefore, this application can be shown as an example of some of the above-mentioned disadvantages.

[0021] As a result, improvements are being made in the CNC machine vacuum system in parallel with the developing technology, therefore, there is a need for new structures that will eliminate the disadvantages mentioned above and bring solutions to the existing systems.

[0022] Purpose of Invention

[0023] The invention relates to a CNC machine vacuum system that provides direct contact of the part with the vacuum, which is developed to solve the disadvantages and brings some additional advantages, unlike the structures used in the prior art.

[0024] The purpose of the invention is to provide direct contact with the part by transmitting the vacuum directly to the MDF surface by using the vacuum holes on the machine table with a cup / ring apparatus. In this way, the following advantages are provided since the vacuum flow rate does not decrease;

[0025] • Reduced scrap rate

[0026] • Positively affected the product cycle time.

[0027] • Reduced the repair rate in cases where there is no scrap.

[0028] • Increased customer satisfaction by producing error-free products.

[0029] • Eliminated the labour time and energy consumption since there is no re-processing.

[0030] • Reduced to 2 (reduced energy consumption) the number of 3 vacuum motors used.

[0031] • Reduced the tool consumption as there is no re-processing.

[0032] The structural characteristics and all advantages of the invention will be more clearly understood by means of the figures given below and the detailed description written with references to these figures. Therefore, the evaluation should be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.

[0042] Detailed Description of an Example of the Invention

[0043] In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the CNC machine (1 ) of the invention are described only for a better understanding of the subject matter and without any limiting effect.

[0044] Structure principle:

[0045] The CNC machine (1) comprises CNC table (10), MDF table (20), vacuum apparatus (30) and O- rings (40). In Figure 1 , the CNC machine (1 ) is seen from the top and the CNC table (10) and MDF table (20) are shown.

[0046] The CNC table (10) is used for fixing the product to be processed with vacuum during the CNC process. It is located on top of the CNC machine (1) and is connected to the machine.

[0047] MDF table (20) is element that provides vacuum transfer between the CNC table (10) and the part to be processed and fixing the part in the same plane. Figure 2 shows a cross-sectional view of these elements stacked on top of each other from the side.

[0048] The vacuum apparatus (30) is element that directly contacts the part without transferring the vacuum coming to the CNC table (10) to the MDF table (20). Its two-dimensional view is shown in Figure 3. Figure 2 shows a cross-sectional view of it placed in the table holes.

[0049] O-ring (40) is element that seals the vacuum apparatus (30) equipment coming from the CNC table and transferred directly to the part.

[0050] Production method:

[0051] Dimensioning is done by determining the vacuum points on the CNC machine (1). Holes are drilled by dimensioning on the MDF table (20) with reference to the determined hole vacuum points. Scaling of the vacuum apparatus (30) apparatus is made according to the measurements taken from the vacuum chambers on the CNC table (10). After the placement of the CNC table (10), MDF table (20) and vacuum apparatus (30), the dimensions of the O-ring (40) are determined by trial (leak test) in order to ensure sealing and attached to each vacuum apparatus (30). As seen in Figure 2, the vacuum apparatus (30) placed in the holes drilled in the CNC table (10) and the MDF table (20) will directly contact the parts to be processed placed on the MDF table (20). In this way, full vacuum will be provided, and the part will be processed without slipping.
