[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0002] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the State Intellectual Property Office of China on August 25, 2023, with application number 202311094489.9 and application name “A kind of energy storage device, photovoltaic storage system and charging network”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field

[0003] The present application relates to the field of energy technology, and in particular to an energy storage device, a photovoltaic storage system, and a charging network. Background Art

[0004] With the continuous development and widespread application of clean energy, energy storage devices capable of storing electrical energy have begun to be widely used in various fields. Currently, there is an increasing number of large-scale energy storage devices at the cabinet or container level, which can accommodate more batteries and thus improve the energy storage capacity of energy storage devices.

[0005] In energy storage devices, multiple batteries are connected in series and parallel and housed within a housing to effectively protect the batteries. During actual use, the batteries must be kept within a normal temperature range to ensure charge and discharge performance and safety. For this reason, energy storage devices typically incorporate a heat dissipation system to regulate the battery temperature. However, heat dissipation systems using traditional air cooling are inefficient and no longer meet the efficiency requirements for battery temperature control in current energy storage devices.

[0006] Summary of the Invention

[0007] The present application provides an energy storage device, a photovoltaic storage system, and a charging network that can achieve efficient regulation of battery temperature.

[0008] In a first aspect, the present application provides an energy storage device that may include a thermal management module, a battery module, a heat dissipation module, and a compressor. The thermal management module includes a housing and a first heat exchanger, a first throttle valve, and a multi-way valve disposed within the housing. The housing of the thermal management module has a first interface and a second interface. The first heat exchanger and the first throttle valve are sequentially connected between the first interface and the second interface. The compressor and the heat dissipation module are sequentially connected between the first interface and the second interface. In other words, the first heat exchanger, the first throttle valve, the heat dissipation module, and the compressor are sequentially connected to form a refrigerant circulation loop, enabling heat exchange between the first heat exchanger and the heat dissipation module. The housing of the thermal management module also has a third interface and two fourth interfaces. The first heat exchanger is connected between the third interface and the multi-way valve, and the multi-way valve is further connected to the two fourth interfaces. The first heat exchanger is used to enable heat exchange between the refrigerant circuit and the coolant circuit. The multi-way valve is used to connect or disconnect the path between the first heat exchanger and any of the fourth interfaces. The multi-way valve is also connected between the two fourth interfaces to connect or disconnect the path between the two fourth interfaces. The battery module is connected between the third interface and one of the fourth interfaces, and the heat dissipation module is connected between the third interface and another of the fourth interfaces. When the multi-way valve forms a coolant loop between the battery module and the first heat exchanger, heat exchange between the battery module and the heat dissipation module can be achieved. When the multi-way valve forms a coolant loop between the heat dissipation module and the first heat exchanger, heat exchange between the heat dissipation modules can be achieved.

[0009] In the energy storage device provided in this application, the thermal management module, battery module, heat dissipation module and compressor are respectively integrated structures, and each module has an interface for connecting to other modules on the outside. During deployment, different modules can be connected according to actual needs to form an efficient coolant system, which has good deployment flexibility and convenience during installation. In addition, in the long-term evolution process, modules that need to be updated and iterated can be easily replaced, which has good convenience. When some modules are updated and iterated, other modules can maintain their existing status, which has good evolution and compatibility.

[0010] In one example, the energy storage device also includes a reversing module. The housing of the reversing module has a first reversing interface, a second reversing interface, a third reversing interface and a fourth reversing interface. The reversing module has a reversing valve connected to the first reversing interface, the second reversing interface, the third reversing interface and the fourth reversing interface, and the reversing valve is used to switch the flow direction of the refrigerant between the third reversing interface and the fourth reversing interface. The first reversing interface and the second reversing interface are respectively connected to the two ends of the compressor, the third reversing interface is connected to the first interface of the thermal management module, and the fourth reversing interface is connected to the heat dissipation module. The reversing valve is used to switch the flow direction of the refrigerant between the third reversing interface and the fourth reversing interface, so that the heat dissipation module can cool or heat the first heat exchanger through the refrigerant.

[0011] In one example, the thermal management module further includes a dehumidification module, which includes a second heat exchanger and a second throttle valve. The second heat exchanger and the second throttle valve are sequentially connected between the first interface and the second interface. During the circulation of the refrigerant in the loop formed by the compressor, the second heat exchanger, the second throttle valve, and the heat dissipation module, the temperature of the second heat exchanger will be relatively low. When the humidity inside the cabinet of the energy storage device is high and the temperature of the second heat exchanger is lower than the dew point temperature of the air, the water vapor in the cabinet condenses into water droplets and is discharged through the drainage pipe, thereby reducing the humidity in the energy storage device.

[0012] In the specific configuration, the thermal management module and battery module are both located inside the cabinet, while the heat dissipation module is located outside the cabinet. The cabinet effectively protects the thermal management module and battery module. The cabinet protects the battery module and thermal management module from the effects of sunlight and rain, thereby improving their safety and service life. The heat dissipation module is located outside the cabinet to facilitate effective heat exchange with the external environment.

[0013] In one example, the reversing module further includes a bypass valve connected in parallel with the compressor. When the bypass valve is opened, the pressure of the compressor can be reduced, thereby effectively protecting the compressor.

[0014] In one example, the thermal management module further includes a water pump, which is connected between the third interface and the plurality of fourth interfaces to achieve effective circulation of the coolant in the coolant circuit.

[0015] In one example, the thermal management module further includes an electric heater connected between the multi-way valve and the fourth interface. The electric heater can better heat the coolant flowing through the battery module to effectively increase the temperature of the battery module.

[0016] In one example, the battery module includes a first cold plate and a battery, wherein the battery is in thermal contact with the first cold plate.

[0017] In one example, the energy storage device further includes a second cold plate and an energy storage converter, wherein the energy storage converter is in thermal contact with the second cold plate, wherein the first cold plate and the second cold plate are connected in series.

[0018] In one example, the heat dissipation module includes a refrigerant radiator and a coolant radiator. The refrigerant radiator is connected between the compressor and the second interface, and the coolant radiator is connected between the third interface and the fourth interface.

[0019] In one example, the refrigerant radiator has a first airflow channel, and the coolant radiator has a second airflow channel, and the first airflow channel is connected to the second airflow channel. The first airflow channel and the second airflow channel are connected, so that outside air can flow through the first airflow channel and the second airflow channel in sequence, realizing an integrated arrangement of the airflow channels and simplifying the structure of the airflow channels.

[0020] In one example, the heat dissipation module further includes a fan, which is disposed on one side of the first air flow channel or the second air flow channel and is used to circulate air between the first air flow channel, the second air flow channel and the external environment.

[0021] Secondly, this application also provides a photovoltaic storage system, which may include a power generation device, a power conversion device, and the aforementioned energy storage device. The power conversion device is connected between the power generation device and the energy storage device, and the power generation device is used to store the electricity generated by the power conversion device in the battery of the energy storage device. By using the aforementioned energy storage device, the heat dissipation performance of the photovoltaic storage system can be effectively improved, with the advantages of high reliability and long service life.

[0022] Thirdly, this application also provides a charging network that may include charging piles and the aforementioned energy storage device, wherein the charging piles are electrically connected to the energy storage device, and the energy storage device is used to provide electrical energy to the charging piles. By using the aforementioned energy storage device, the heat dissipation performance of the charging network can be effectively improved, with the advantages of high reliability and long service life. [0037] In order to make the purpose, technical solutions and advantages of this application clearer, this application will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0038] To facilitate understanding of the energy storage device provided in the embodiments of the present application, the following first introduces its application scenarios.

[0039] The energy storage equipment provided in the embodiments of the present application can be used for, but is not limited to, five types of industrial and commercial energy storage scenarios, including small-scale industry and commerce (such as small factories, etc.), medium-sized industry and commerce, large-scale industry and commerce, photovoltaic storage and charging stations, and small and medium-sized microgrids (such as islands, etc.), as well as three types of power station scenarios, including wind and solar energy storage power stations, grid energy storage power stations, and large microgrids, for storing and releasing electrical energy.

[0040] As shown in Figure 1, energy storage device 01 may include a housing 011 and multiple batteries 012 disposed within housing 011. Housing 011 provides ample space for batteries 012, protecting them from exposure to sunlight, rain, and other factors, thereby improving their safety and service life. Furthermore, placing batteries 012 within housing 011 facilitates deployment convenience. In practical applications, housing 011 can be positioned in the desired location based on actual deployment requirements.

[0041] During the charge and discharge process of battery 012, a lot of heat will be generated, so the battery 012 needs to be cooled. At present, the battery 012 is cooled mainly by air cooling and liquid cooling. In the air cooling method, the heat on the surface of the battery 012 is mainly removed by the flow of air, which has the disadvantage of low heat dissipation efficiency. In addition, dust in the air will continue to accumulate on the surface of the battery 012, which will corrode the battery 012, which is not conducive to ensuring the reliability and service life of the battery 012. In the liquid cooling method, the heat of the battery 012 is mainly dissipated by the medium (such as water) circulating in the cooling pipe, which has the characteristic of high heat dissipation efficiency. Therefore, more and more manufacturers have begun to use liquid cooling to dissipate heat from the battery 012.

[0042] However, in the current energy storage device 01, the liquid cooling system is usually composed of multiple components such as a compressor, a multi-way valve, various types of heat exchangers, and related pipelines. During actual deployment, different components need to be assembled and connected on site, which increases the difficulty of transportation and installation and is not conducive to practical application. In addition, different users have different requirements for liquid cooling systems, which makes the architecture of the liquid cooling system significantly different, which is not conducive to widespread application. In addition, in actual application, the components can meet the current actual needs, but with the continuous development of technology and the continuous improvement of user needs, some components may need to be updated or iterated. However, since different components are assembled and connected based on current needs. Therefore, when updating or iterating, there is a greater difficulty in dismantling and installation, which is not conducive to the long-term evolution of energy storage equipment.

[0043] In view of this, the embodiments of the present application provide an energy storage device that is conducive to long-term evolution and has good temperature control performance under various working conditions.

[0044] In order to make the purpose, technical solutions and advantages of this application clearer, this application will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments.

[0045] As shown in Figure 2, in an example provided in the present application, the energy storage device 10 includes a thermal management module 11, a battery module 12, a heat dissipation module 13 and a compressor 14. The thermal management module 11, the battery module 12, the heat dissipation module 13 and the compressor 14 are respectively integrated structures, and each module has an interface for connecting to other modules on the outside.

[0046] As shown in FIG2 , the thermal management module 11 includes a first heat exchanger 111, a first throttle valve 112, a multi-way valve 113, a refrigerant line 114, and a coolant line 115. The outer shell of the thermal management module 11 has a first port 1141 and a second port 1142 that communicate with the refrigerant line 114. The first port 1141 and the second port 1142 enable communication between the thermal management module 11 and the external refrigerant line 114. The first heat exchanger 111 and the first throttle valve 112 are sequentially connected to the refrigerant line 114 from the first port 1141 to the second port 1142, and the compressor 14 and the heat dissipation module 13 are sequentially connected between the first port 1141 and the second port 1142. In other words, the first heat exchanger 111, the first throttle valve 112, the heat dissipation module 13, and the compressor 14 are sequentially connected, thereby forming a refrigerant circulation loop, enabling heat exchange between the first heat exchanger 111 and the heat dissipation module 13.

[0047] In addition, the housing of the thermal management module 11 also has a third interface and two fourth interfaces connected to the coolant pipeline 115. In actual application, the third interface needs to be connected to two external pipelines at the same time. Therefore, in the example provided in this application, the third interface has two docking interfaces, namely the third interface 1151a and the third interface 1151b. There are two fourth interfaces, namely the fourth interface 1152a and the fourth interface 1152b. The first heat exchanger 111 is connected between the third interfaces 1151a, 1151b and the fourth interfaces 1152a, 1152b. The multi-way valve 113 is connected between the first heat exchanger 111 and the fourth interfaces 1152a, 1152b. The multi-way valve 113 is used to connect or disconnect the passage between the third interfaces 1151a, 1151b and the fourth interface 1152a, and the passage between the third interfaces 1151a, 1151b and the fourth interface 1152b. In addition, the multi-way valve 113 is also connected between the fourth port 1152a and the fourth port 1152b, and is used to connect or disconnect the passage between the fourth port 1152a and the fourth port 1152b.

[0048] The battery module 12 is connected between the third port 1151a and the fourth port 1152a. When the multi-way valve 113 connects the third port 1151a and the fourth port 1152a, a coolant circuit is formed between the battery module 12 and the first heat exchanger 111, thereby achieving heat exchange between the battery module 12 and the heat dissipation module 13.

[0049] The heat dissipation module 13 is connected between the third port 1151b and the fourth port 1152b. When the multi-way valve 113 connects the third port 1151b and the fourth port 1152b, a coolant loop is formed between the heat dissipation module 13 and the first heat exchanger 111, thereby achieving heat exchange between the heat dissipation modules 13.

[0050] In addition, when the multi-way valve 113 connects the fourth port 1152 a and the fourth port 1152 b , a coolant loop can be formed between the battery module 12 and the heat dissipation module 13 , thereby achieving heat exchange between the battery module 12 and the heat dissipation module 13 .

[0051] In the energy storage device 10 provided in this application, each module has independent functions and each module has an interface for connecting to other modules. In actual deployment, the type and number of modules can be reasonably selected according to different needs.

[0052] For example, in the example provided herein, the primary function of thermal management module 11 is to establish heat exchange between the refrigerant and coolant flow paths and to connect to multiple external modules. Thermal management module 11 can also flexibly adjust the connectivity between different modules, thereby achieving a variety of different thermal management modes.

[0053] Specifically, the thermal management module 11 includes a refrigerant line 114 and a coolant line 115. The refrigerant line 114 can be connected to the compressor 14 and the heat dissipation module 13 via a first port 1141 and a second port 1142, thereby forming a refrigerant circuit. Furthermore, the coolant line 115 is connected to the battery module 12 and the heat dissipation module 13 via third ports 1151a, 1151b, fourth ports 1152a, and fourth ports 1152b, thereby forming a coolant circuit.

[0054] The first heat exchanger 111 in the thermal management module 11 is connected to the refrigerant pipeline 114 and the coolant pipeline 115 . The first heat exchanger 111 is used to achieve heat exchange between the refrigerant pipeline 114 and the coolant pipeline 115 .

[0055] The refrigerant may be, but is not limited to, Freon or liquid ammonia compounds, and the coolant may be, but is not limited to, water or ethylene glycol, etc. In specific applications, the specific types of refrigerant and coolant can be reasonably selected according to actual needs, and this application does not impose any restrictions on this.

[0056] In specific configuration, the specific composition of the thermal management module 11 can be diverse.

[0057] For example, as shown in FIG2 , in an example provided in the present application, the thermal management module 11 specifically includes a first heat exchanger 111, a first throttle valve 112, a multi-way valve 113, a refrigerant pipeline 114, a coolant pipeline 115, and a water pump 116. The first heat exchanger 111 has a refrigerant flow channel (not shown in FIG2 ) and a coolant flow channel (not shown in FIG2 ) that are independent of each other. The refrigerant flow channel in the first heat exchanger 111 is connected to the refrigerant pipeline 114. The coolant flow channel in the first heat exchanger 111 is connected to the coolant pipeline 115. The refrigerant and the coolant can exchange heat in the first heat exchanger 111, thereby realizing heat exchange between the refrigerant pipeline 114 and the coolant pipeline 115. The water pump 116 is connected to the coolant pipeline 115 to realize effective circulation of the coolant in the coolant pipeline 115.

[0058] In the example provided in this application, the thermal management module 11 has two fourth interfaces, namely the fourth interface 1152a and the fourth interface 1152b. Therefore, in actual application, the multi-way valve 113 can specifically be a three-way valve. The three-way valve has three valve ports, one of which can be connected to one end of the first heat exchanger 111 through a pipeline, and the other two ports can be connected to the fourth interface 1152a and the fourth interface 1152b respectively. In other examples, the three-way valve can also be replaced by two two-way valves, which will not be described in detail here.

[0059] In addition, in other examples, the thermal management module 11 may also include three or more fourth interfaces. In actual applications, the number of fourth interfaces and the type of multi-way valve 113 can be reasonably set according to specific needs. It should be noted that when the number of fourth interfaces is large, the thermal management module 11 can be connected to a larger number of other modules, thereby having better scalability. In addition, when the number of fourth interfaces is large, the number of valve ports of the equipped multi-way valve 113 will also increase, which will increase the use cost of the multi-way valve 113. Therefore, in actual applications, the number of fourth interfaces and the type of multi-way valve 113 can be reasonably selected according to actual needs to effectively balance applicability and production cost.

[0060] 3 , in another example provided in the present application, the thermal management module 11 may further include an electric heater 117 . The electric heater 117 is connected to the coolant line 115 and may be used to heat the coolant in the coolant line 115 .

[0061] In specific settings, the specific connection position of the electric heater 117 can be various.

[0062] For example, as shown in Figure 3, in an example provided in this application, the electric heater 117 is connected between the fourth interface 1152b and the multi-way valve 113, so that the coolant flowing through the battery module 12 can be better heated to effectively increase the temperature of the battery module 12.

[0063] In other examples, the electric heater 117 may also be connected to other locations. That is, the electric heater 117 only needs to heat the coolant flowing through the battery module 12, which will not be described in detail here.

[0064] It should be noted that, in actual applications, the energy storage device 10 may include a cabinet. The thermal management module 11 and the battery module 12 are both located in the cabinet, and the cabinet can effectively protect the thermal management module 11 and the battery module 12. The cabinet can prevent the battery module 12 and the thermal management module 11 from being affected by the sun, rain, etc., thereby improving the safety and service life of the battery module 12 and the thermal management module 11. The heat dissipation module 13 is located outside the cabinet to facilitate effective heat exchange with the external environment. In addition, in the specific setting, the compressor 14 can be located inside the cabinet or outside the cabinet. In actual application, the specific setting position of the compressor 14 can be reasonably adjusted, and this application does not impose any restrictions on this.

[0065] In addition, in actual applications, the water vapor in the cabinet is not easy to be discharged. When the water vapor exists in the cabinet for a long time, it will corrode the battery module 12 and the thermal management module 11 and other related electronic devices in the displacement cabinet, and even cause adverse conditions such as short circuits, affecting the safety and service life of the energy storage device 10.

[0066] Therefore, as shown in FIG4 , in one example provided herein, the thermal management module 11 may further include a dehumidification module, which includes a second heat exchanger 118 and a second throttle valve 119. The second heat exchanger 118 and the second throttle valve 119 are sequentially connected to the refrigerant pipeline 114 from the first interface 1141 to the second interface 1142. That is, the second heat exchanger 118, the second throttle valve 119, the heat dissipation module 13, and the compressor 14 are sequentially connected to form a refrigerant circulation loop, thereby enabling heat exchange between the second heat exchanger 118 and the heat dissipation module 13.

[0067] During the circulation of the refrigerant in the loop formed by the compressor 14, the second heat exchanger 118, the second throttle valve 119, and the heat dissipation module 13, the temperature of the second heat exchanger 118 will be relatively low. When the humidity in the cabinet is high and the temperature of the second heat exchanger 118 is lower than the dew point temperature of the air, the water vapor in the cabinet condenses into water droplets and is discharged through the drainage pipe to reduce the humidity in the energy storage device 10.

[0068] Furthermore, since the temperature of the second heat exchanger 118 is relatively low, it can also lower the temperature of the air within the energy storage device 10, which helps maintain a relatively low temperature environment for the battery module 12. Furthermore, the dehumidification module can also include a fan 133 (not shown in FIG. 4 ), which can be positioned near the second heat exchanger 118 to accelerate the flow of air through the second heat exchanger 118, thereby lowering the temperature of the second heat exchanger 118 and improving the dehumidification effect of the dehumidification module.

[0069] It is understood that in the example provided in this application, the combination of the second heat exchanger 118 and the second throttle valve 119 is arranged in parallel with the combination of the first heat exchanger 111 and the first throttle valve 112, so that the two do not affect each other. Specifically, when performing dehumidification, the second throttle valve 119 can be opened and the first throttle valve 112 can be closed, so that the refrigerant can circulate in the circulation loop composed of the compressor 14, the heat dissipation module 13, the second throttle valve 119 and the second heat exchanger 118, thereby making the second heat exchanger 118 have a lower temperature to achieve the dehumidification function. In addition, the first throttle valve 112 and the second throttle valve 119 can be opened at the same time, that is, the refrigerant can circulate in the circulation loop composed of the compressor 14, the heat dissipation module 13, the first throttle valve 112 and the first heat exchanger 111, and can also circulate in the circulation loop composed of the compressor 14, the heat dissipation module 13, the second throttle valve 119 and the second heat exchanger 118. As a result, both the first heat exchanger 111 and the second heat exchanger 118 have relatively low temperatures. That is, the first heat exchanger 111 can cool the battery module 12, and the second heat exchanger 118 can dehumidify. Of course, in a specific implementation, the first throttle valve 112 can be opened and the second throttle valve 119 can be closed, so that the refrigerant can circulate in the circulation loop composed of the compressor 14, the heat dissipation module 13, the first throttle valve 112, and the first heat exchanger 111, thereby maintaining a relatively low temperature in the first heat exchanger 111 to cool the battery module 12.

[0070] In summary, the first heat exchanger 111 and the second heat exchanger 118 in the thermal management module 11 are decoupled from each other, preventing any mutual influence between them. Furthermore, the combination of the first heat exchanger 111 and the first throttle valve 112 and the combination of the second heat exchanger 118 and the second throttle valve 119 share the same heat dissipation module 13 and compressor 14, effectively reducing the number of components used, reducing the size and cost of the adjustment device, and facilitating an integrated design.

[0071] In specific applications, the specific composition of the battery module 12 can be varied.

[0072] For example, as shown in Figure 4, in an example provided in this application, the battery module 12 specifically includes a battery 121 and a first cold plate 122. The battery 121 is in thermal contact with the first cold plate 122, and the first cold plate 122 is connected between the third interface 1151a and the fourth interface 1152a.

[0073] In the example provided herein, the battery energy storage device 10 includes one battery module 12. However, in actual applications, the energy storage device 10 may also include two or more battery modules 12. When the energy storage device 10 includes two or more battery modules 12, multiple first cold plates 122 may be connected in series between the third interface 1151a and the fourth interface 1152a.

[0074] Alternatively, in some examples, the first cold plate 122 may be replaced with another type of heat exchanger such as an immersion heat exchanger.

[0075] Alternatively, in other examples, the energy storage device 10 may also include other types of modules.

[0076] For example, as shown in Figure 5, in another example provided in this application, the energy storage device 10 further includes a second cold plate 124 and an energy storage converter 123, and the energy storage converter 123 is in thermal contact with the second cold plate 124. The first cold plate 122 and the second cold plate 124 are connected in series.

[0077] The second cold plate 124 can also be replaced with another type of heat exchanger, such as an immersion heat exchanger. Furthermore, if both the first cold plate 122 and the second cold plate 124 are immersion evaporators, they can be integrated. That is, the battery 121 and the energy storage converter 123 can be immersed in the same evaporator.

[0078] It is understandable that, in specific applications, multiple different types of modules may be integrated into the energy storage device 10. Alternatively, different types of modules may be integrated separately, which will not be described in detail here.

[0079] In specific applications, the specific composition of the heat dissipation module 13 can be diverse.

[0080] For example, as shown in FIG5 , in an example provided herein, the heat dissipation module 13 includes a refrigerant radiator 131 and a coolant radiator 132. The refrigerant radiator 131 has a refrigerant flow channel (not shown in FIG5 ) and is connected between the compressor 14 and the second interface 1142 b. When the refrigerant flows through the refrigerant radiator 131, it can exchange heat with the external environment, thereby heating or cooling the refrigerant.

[0081] The coolant radiator 132 has a coolant flow channel (not shown in Figure 5). The coolant radiator 132 is connected between the third interface 1151b and the fourth interface 1152b. When the coolant flows through the coolant radiator 132, it can exchange heat with the external environment, thereby heating or cooling the coolant.

[0082] In addition, in the heat dissipation module 13 provided in the present application, the refrigerant radiator 131 and the coolant radiator 132 are integrated, and heat exchange can be achieved between the refrigerant radiator 131 and the coolant radiator 132, so that the refrigerant and the coolant can exchange heat in the heat dissipation module 13, thereby having a variety of different heat exchange modes.

[0083] In summary, in heat dissipation module 13, as the refrigerant flows through refrigerant radiator 131, it can exchange heat with the external environment. As the coolant flows through coolant radiator 132, it can also exchange heat with the external environment. Furthermore, refrigerant radiator 131 and coolant radiator 132 are integrated, allowing heat exchange between them, thus enabling the refrigerant and coolant to exchange heat within heat dissipation module 13.

[0084] In one example provided herein, the refrigerant radiator 131 has a first airflow channel (not shown) communicating with the external environment, and the coolant radiator 132 has a second airflow channel (not shown) communicating with the external environment. The first airflow channel is connected to the second airflow channel. This allows external air to flow through the first and second airflow channels in sequence, achieving an integrated arrangement of the airflow channels and simplifying their structure.

[0085] As shown in FIG5 , the heat dissipation module 13 further includes a fan 133 , which is disposed on a side of the coolant radiator 132 away from the refrigerant radiator 131 , and is used to circulate air between the first air flow channel, the second air flow channel and the external environment.

[0086] It is understood that, in other examples, the fan 133 may also be disposed on a side of the refrigerant radiator 131 away from the coolant radiator 132. In summary, the fan 133 may be disposed on one side of the first airflow channel of the refrigerant radiator 131 or on one side of the second airflow channel of the coolant radiator 132.

[0087] During specific configuration, the location of the fan 133 can be reasonably selected based on actual needs, which will not be elaborated here.

[0088] In addition, in other examples, the refrigerant radiator 131 and the coolant radiator 132 may also be independent of each other, that is, the refrigerant radiator 131 and the coolant radiator 132 may be provided separately, which will not be described in detail here.

[0089] In practice, compressor 14 is a one-way device and cannot be used in reverse. For example, compressor 14 is used to circulate refrigerant within the circuit formed by compressor 14, first heat exchanger 111, first throttle valve 112, and refrigerant radiator 131. However, it cannot efficiently circulate the refrigerant in the reverse direction within this circuit. Therefore, the temperature of first heat exchanger 111 remains relatively low during refrigerant circulation. In other words, the circuit formed by compressor 14, first heat exchanger 111, first throttle valve 112, and refrigerant radiator 131 constitutes a refrigeration system.

[0090] However, in some low-temperature environments, the battery module 12 needs to be heated, so the temperature of the first heat exchanger 111 needs to be higher. That is, the circuit formed by the compressor 14, the first heat exchanger 111, the first throttle valve 112, and the refrigerant radiator 131 needs to be switched to a heat pump system.

[0091] To this end, as shown in Figure 6, in an example provided in the present application, the energy storage device 10 also includes a reversing module 15. The housing of the reversing module 15 has a first reversing interface 1511, a second reversing interface 1512, a third reversing interface 1513, and a fourth reversing interface 1514. The reversing module 15 contains a reversing valve 151 connected to the first reversing interface 1511, the second reversing interface 1512, the third reversing interface 1513, and the fourth reversing interface 1514. The first reversing interface 1511 and the second reversing interface 1512 are respectively connected to the two ends of the compressor 14. The third reversing interface 1513 is connected to the first interface 1141, and the fourth reversing interface 1514 is connected to the heat dissipation module 13. The reversing valve 151 is used to switch the flow direction of the refrigerant between the third reversing interface 1513 and the fourth reversing interface 1514, so that the refrigerant can cool or heat the first heat exchanger 111.

[0092] In addition, as shown in FIG7 , in an example provided in the present application, the reversing module 15 further includes a bypass valve 152, which is connected in parallel with the compressor 14. The bypass valve 152 may be, for example, a solenoid valve. The bypass valve 152 is arranged in parallel with the compressor 14, wherein the bypass valve 152 may be, for example, a solenoid valve. In this way, when the compressor 14 is working, the bypass valve 152 is opened to reduce the pressure of the compressor 14, thereby protecting the compressor 14. The bypass valve 152 can increase the temperature of the refrigerant at the inlet of the compressor 14. When the circuit formed by the compressor 14, the first heat exchanger 111, the first throttle valve 112 and the refrigerant radiator 131 is a heat pump system, after the bypass valve 152 is opened, the heat pump system can provide more heating capacity and adapt to lower ambient temperatures.

[0093] In practical thermal management systems, the type and number of components included in each module can be appropriately configured based on actual needs. Furthermore, the required module type can be selected based on actual needs, and the number of each module can also be adjusted based on actual needs.

[0094] For example, as shown in FIG8 , in a possible example, the energy storage device 10 includes a thermal management module 11 , a battery module 12 , a heat dissipation module 13 , a reversing module 15 and a compressor 14 .

[0095] The thermal management module 11 specifically includes a first heat exchanger 111, a first throttle valve 112, a multi-way valve 113, a refrigerant pipeline 114, a coolant pipeline 115, a water pump 116, and an electric heater 117. The first heat exchanger 111 has independent refrigerant flow channels and coolant flow channels. The refrigerant flow channels in the first heat exchanger 111 are connected to the refrigerant pipeline 114. The coolant flow channels in the first heat exchanger 111 are connected to the coolant pipeline 115. The refrigerant and the coolant can exchange heat in the first heat exchanger 111, thereby achieving heat exchange between the refrigerant pipeline 114 and the coolant pipeline 115. The water pump 116 is connected to the coolant pipeline 115 to ensure effective circulation of the coolant in the coolant pipeline 115. The electric heater 117 is connected between the fourth port 1152 b and the multi-way valve 113 , so as to better heat the coolant flowing through the battery module 12 , thereby effectively increasing the temperature of the battery module 12 .

[0096] In the example provided herein, the thermal management module 11 has two fourth interfaces, namely, the fourth interface 1152a and the fourth interface 1152b. The multi-way valve 113 can be specifically a three-way valve. The three-way valve has three valve ports, one of which can be connected to one end of the first heat exchanger 111 via a pipeline, and the other two ports can be connected to the fourth interface 1152a and the fourth interface 1152b, respectively.

[0097] The battery module 12 specifically includes a battery 121 and a first cold plate 122 . The battery 121 is in thermal contact with the first cold plate 122 . The first cold plate 122 is connected between the third interface 1151 a and the fourth interface 1152 a .

[0098] The heat dissipation module 13 includes a refrigerant radiator 131 and a coolant radiator 132. The refrigerant radiator 131 has a refrigerant flow path and is connected between the compressor 14 and the second interface 1142. When the refrigerant flows through the refrigerant radiator 131, it can exchange heat with the external environment, thereby heating or cooling the refrigerant. The coolant radiator 132 has a coolant flow path and is connected between the third interface 1151b and the fourth interface 1152b. When the coolant flows through the coolant radiator 132, it can exchange heat with the external environment, thereby heating or cooling the coolant.

[0099] The housing of the reversing module 15 has a first reversing interface 1511, a second reversing interface 1512, a third reversing interface 1513, and a fourth reversing interface 1514. The reversing valve 151 is used to switch the flow direction of the refrigerant between the third reversing interface 1513 and the fourth reversing interface 1514, thereby allowing the refrigerant to cool or heat the first heat exchanger 111.

[0100] For ease of understanding, the flow paths and directions of the refrigerant and the coolant will be exemplified below by taking several different operating modes of the energy storage device 10 as examples.

[0101] As shown in FIG9 , when the ambient temperature is high (such as in the summer), the valve port 1 and the valve port 3 of the multi-way valve 113 are connected, and the working mode of the energy storage device 10 is as follows:

[0102] Specifically, in FIG. 9 , two circulation loops are shown.

[0103] The first circulation loop includes a compressor 14 , a refrigerant radiator 131 , a first throttle valve 112 and a first heat exchanger 111 which are connected in sequence.

[0104] The second circulation loop includes a water pump 116 , a first heat exchanger 111 , a valve port 1 , a valve port 3 and a first cold plate 122 , which are connected in sequence.

[0105] In the first circulation path, the refrigerant radiator 131 cools the first heat exchanger 111, thereby keeping the first heat exchanger 111 at a lower temperature. The refrigerant circulation path is: compressor 14, refrigerant radiator 131, first throttle valve 112 and first heat exchanger 111 in this order.

[0106] In the second circulation path, the first cold plate 122 can be cooled by the first heat exchanger 111. The circulation path of the coolant is: water pump 116, first heat exchanger 111, interface 1, interface 3 and first cold plate 122 in this order.

[0107] It should be noted that, in the above example, the electric heater 117 is in an off state.

[0108] In addition, as shown in FIG10 , when the ambient temperature is relatively suitable (such as in spring or autumn), the valve port 2 and the valve port 3 of the multi-way valve 113 are connected, and the working mode of the energy storage device 10 is as follows:

[0109] Specifically, in FIG. 10 , a circulation loop is shown.

[0110] The circulation loop includes a water pump 116 , a coolant radiator 132 , a valve port 2 , a valve port 3 and a first cold plate 122 , which are connected in sequence.

[0111] In this circulation loop, the first cold plate 122 can be cooled directly by the coolant radiator 132, resulting in low operating power consumption and good heat dissipation. The compressor 14 and the corresponding refrigerant circuit are in the off state, and the electric heater 117 is also in the off state, effectively reducing the operating power consumption of the energy storage device 10.

[0112] As shown in FIG11 , when the ambient temperature is low (such as in winter), the valve port 1 and the valve port 3 of the multi-way valve 113 are connected, and the working mode of the energy storage device 10 is as follows:

[0113] Specifically, in FIG. 11 , two circulation loops are shown.

[0114] The first circulation loop includes a compressor 14 , a first heat exchanger 111 , a first throttle valve 112 and a refrigerant radiator 131 which are connected in sequence.

[0115] The second circulation loop includes a water pump 116 , a first heat exchanger 111 , a valve port 1 , a valve port 3 and a first cold plate 122 , which are connected in sequence.

[0116] In the first circulation path, the refrigerant radiator 131 heats the first heat exchanger 111, thereby keeping the first heat exchanger 111 at a higher temperature. The refrigerant circulation path is: compressor 14, first heat exchanger 111, first throttle valve 112 and refrigerant radiator 131 in this order.

[0117] In the second circulation path, the first cold plate 122 can be heated by the first heat exchanger 111. The circulation path of the coolant is: water pump 116, first heat exchanger 111, valve port 1, valve port 3 and first cold plate 122 in sequence.

[0118] It should be noted that, in the above example, the electric heater 117 is in an off state.

[0119] In addition, as shown in FIG12 , when the ambient temperature is low (such as in winter), the valve port 1 and the valve port 3 of the multi-way valve 113 are connected, and the working mode of the energy storage device 10 is as follows:

[0120] Specifically, in FIG. 12 , a circulation loop is shown.

[0121] The circulation loop includes a water pump 116 , a coolant radiator 132 , a valve port 2 , a valve port 3 , an electric heater 117 and a first cold plate 122 , which are connected in sequence.

[0122] The electric heater 117 is in an on state and can heat the coolant. The heated coolant can heat the first cold plate 122 after flowing through the first cold plate 122 .

[0123] In summary, in this working mode, the first cold plate 122 may be heated only by the electric heater 117 .

[0124] It is understandable that the above-mentioned several different working modes are only exemplary. In actual application, different working modes can be selected according to the actual temperature control requirements of the battery module 12 and the temperature of the external environment, which will not be elaborated here.
