Abstract

The invention discloses a method for transmitting key information. A resistance and a key are connected on a microphone signal line so that different voltage presenting different key information can be produced correspondingly after pressing different key respectively and the key information can be transmitted to key signal detecting unit by the microphone signal line to decide which key is pressed according to the voltage in the key information. The invention also discloses an audio device comprising a key resistance unit used to produce different voltage presenting different key information when the key is pressed; a microphone signal line connected with the key resistance unit to transmit the key information; a key signal detecting unit connected with the microphone signal line to receive the key information and decide which key is pressed according to the voltage in the key information. By the invention, keys can be added on the audio device without need of adding signal line.
