Abstract
The invention discloses a method for interpolating sub-pixels of adaptive video content, which includes the steps: (1) according to the distance between an input integer pixel position and a sub-pixel position to be interpolated, the input integer pixels are divided into three classifications to obtain basic coefficient; (2) according to the distance between an input integer pixel value and an interpolating-filtering weighted mean this time, the basic coefficient is corrected; (3) the corrected basic coefficient and the target sub-pixel position are interpolated and filtered. The invention also relates to a device for interpolating the sub-pixels of the adaptive video content to realize the method and the device comprises a filtering coefficient generator, an interpolating filter and a memory for storing interpolation result of the sub-pixel position. An input sub-pixel position and an integer pixel matrix enter into the filtering coefficient generator so that the filtering coefficient is generated; the coefficient and the input integer pixel matrix are input into the interpolating filter to execute interpolating and filtering; output result is stored in the memory for storing theinterpolation result of the sub-pixel position and then is outputted. The method for interpolating the sub-pixels of the adaptive video content has the advantages of favorable matching degree of motion estimation, high compressibility and can achieve the adaptability of the video content.
