The mobile communication equipment comprises a volume setting module, a volume control module and an earphone management module, wherein the volume setting module is connected with the volume control module and is used for setting the volume of different audio types in an earphone mode to be a first group of volume, and setting the volume of different audio types in a non-earphone mode to be a second group of volume; the earphone management module is connected with the volume control module and is used for detecting the earphone mode or the non-earphone mode; the volume control module is used for setting the volume of an application program to be the first group of volume in the earphone mode when the earphone mode is detected, and setting the volume of the application program to be the second group of volume in the non-earphone mode when the non-earphone mode is detected. By adopting the method, an optimum sound effect can be realized under different situations when an earphone is used or a loudspeaker is used, and hearing can be protected.
