Abstract

The invention provides an air-conditioning device which comprises an image-acquiring unit, a gesture-recognition unit and a central controlling unit. The image-acquiring unit is used for acquiring image information of a current user of the air-conditioning device. The gesture-recognition unit is connected with the image-acquiring unit, and is used for recognizing body silhouette information in the captured image information to confirm the user's gesture. The central controlling unit connected with the gesture-recognition unit is used for reading corresponding parameters according to the confirmed gesture to control the operation of the air-conditioning device. The invention further provides a control method of the air-conditioning device. By setting a camera of the air-conditioning device in a living room, images in the living room are captured, then the captured images are recognized, and the user and the user's gesture (walking gesture or sitting gesture or lying gesture) are determined. According to the user and the user's gesture, the controlling parameters are determined to control operation of the air-conditioning device. The air-conditioning device is convenient to use and more energy-saving in the operation.
