The method includes: acquiring the image obtained by shooting of an object by an image acquisition device and scanned points' laser distance data obtained through scanning of the object by a laser scanner when the image acquisition device shoots the object; according to calibrated parameters, the laser distance data, and the space coordinates and spatial attitude of mobile acquisition equipment when the image acquisition device shoots the object, determining the space coordinates of the scanned points; according to the corresponding relationship between a pixel point set corresponding to the object in the image and an angle set corresponding to the scanned points and the space coordinates of the scanned points, determining the space coordinates corresponding to each pixel point; judging whether the image contains a traffic sign, and acquiring the judgment result; when the judgment result is definite, selecting the pixel points corresponding to the traffic sign in the image from the pixel point set, and taking the space coordinates corresponding to the pixel points as the space coordinates of the traffic sign.
