Abstract

A method for automatically generating a semantic mapping for a relational database RDB includes obtaining a first semantic mapping from a first RDB to an ontology of linked data; obtaining a schema mapping from the first RDB to a second RDB; and generating a second semantic mapping from the second RDB to the ontology of the linked data based on the first semantic mapping and the schema mapping.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to data processing, and more particularly to methods and systems for automatically generating semantic maps for relational databases. Background technique [0002] Data integration has always been one of the important topics in enterprise data management, especially relational data integration is the most common. Classical relational data integration needs to design a global data schema (schema), so that each local relational database RDB (Relational Database) can be mapped to this global data schema. However, such a global data model is often difficult to pre-design, especially when each local relational database is dynamically added or deleted. Therefore, the data management industry is gradually advocating schema-less data integration methods, among which linked data (LinkedData) is highly valued. Linked data adopts the resource description framework RDF (Resource Description Framework) data model, uses the uniform re...
