Abstract

The present application provides a method and device for wireless local area network switching in rail traffic. After the WLAN switching is realized by using the solution, the rail side access point which establishes a link with the car carrier access point is called a target rail side access point and the target rail side access point is located in the moving direction of the vehicle. Besides, the target rail side access point is the rail side access point closest to the car carrier access point of the plurality of rail side access points along the moving direction of the vehicle which take the rail side access point establishing the link with the car carrier access point before the WLAN is switched as a starting point. When random fluctuation of RSSI occurs, the impact of the fluctuation on the target rail side access point is relatively smaller compared with that on the other rail side access points, which ensures the channel quality between the car carrier access point and the target rail side access point and avoids invalid error switching. Besides, since the present solution avoids invalid error switching, service loss caused by frequent switching can be reduced.
