Benefits of technology

[0007] In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of box and container lids now present in the prior art, the present invention according to the various embodiments described below provides a new adjustable dispensing lid construction wherein the same can be utilized for providing a device that allows the user to seal of boxes of different sizes and easily open and close a box without having to repeat the laborious procedure of opening and closing the box and bag inside the box every time he wants to pour the content of the bag. Providing an adjustable lid to seal of boxes of different sizes with a bag inside such as cereal-boxes of different sizes. Allowing the user to seal of a box with a bag inside so he can keep and preserve the content in the original package. Providing an adjustable lid with a dispensing opening and a preferably hinged closing cap to better pour the content such as a ready to eat cereal without spilling them.

Problems solved by technology

The main problem with conventional box and container lids are: Cardboard boxes with a bag inside and an integrated lid are very unpractical to open and close again.
Once the bag containing the content is opened, it is very laborious and almost impossible to adequately seal it of again.
This inadequate and laborious procedure often has the result of tearing of edges and sides of the cardboard boxes.
Another problem with conventional box lids is: cardboard boxes with a bag inside are very difficult for pouring the content without spilling.
Another problem with conventional box top containers are: you first have to pour the content from the original package into a container, this leaves you with an empty box.
Also containers don't display the name and brand name of the product.
While these devices may be suitable for the particular purpose to which they address, they are not as suitable for providing an in size adjustable lid that allows the user to seal of boxes of different sizes.
The main problem with conventional box and container lid devices are: cardboard boxes with a bag inside containing a content are very unpractical to open and close.

[0031] Turning now descriptively to the drawings, in which similar reference characters denote similar elements throughout the several views, the following discussion begins with a description of the common components and then generally covers the first trough further embodiments in order. However, it should be understood that many of the features and components, as well as the possible variations in the same, will be common across all embodiments. The discussion begins with the first embodiment, preferably comprising a lid having a rectangular configuration preferably comprising two main parts 20 and 60 that slide into or onto each other. Both parts comprising a top with an exterior wall / rim and preferably one extending limb on the inner side of said top portions. This inner extending limb preferably being longer than the exterior wall / rim, and can have a grip section on the lower side. A dispensing opening in at least on of said two main parts, surrounded by an apron / wall and a h...

Abstract

Providing a adjustable lid with an opening and closing cap to seal of boxes of different sizes with or without a bag inside (like a cereal box) that allows the user to easily open and close a box with the bag inside containing a content without having to repeat the laborious procedure of opening and closing the box and bag inside the box every time he wants to pour the content that is in the bag. Allowing the user to seal of a box with a bag inside so he can keep and preserve the content in the original package. Providing an in size adjustable lid with a dispensing opening and a hinged closing cap to better pour the content such as cereals without spilling them. The device preferably comprising a lid having a rectangular configuration, preferably comprising two main parts that can slide into or onto each other. Both parts having a top portion with at least three exterior sidewalls / rims and a dispensing opening in said top portions, one part having a wall / rim around its dispensing opening with a closure cap. At least one extending limb on the inner side, said extending limb (s) preferably extending downwardly longer than the exterior wall / rim. At least one of said lid parts having a dispensing opening surrounded by an apron / rim and a hinged cap that fits over the dispensing opening
