The method comprises the following steps: in response to an operation of loading a page or turning over the page, obtaining a page number parameter and a parameter of the number of elements in each page; calculating an index value of a first content element in the current page according to the page number parameter and the element number parameter of each page so as to position the first content element according to the index value; in response to the change of the size of the page display area, determining a new parameter of the number of elements in each page corresponding to the new size of the page display area; in the new page display area, the first content element corresponding to the index value is preposed and displayed, and the corresponding number of content elements are displayed after the first content element according to the new parameter of the number of the elements in each page. According to the technical scheme, when the size of the page display area is changed, accurate positioning display of the content of the front portion of the page is achieved, and the content of the front portion of the page is kept uniform all the time.
