[0021] [Description of Embodiments of the Present Disclosure]

[0022] First, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below.

[0023] (1) The electrical connection box disclosed in the present invention comprises a shell and a bus bar mounted on the shell, wherein the shell comprises a common fuse mounting portion, the common fuse mounting portion respectively mounting at least two fuses including a large fuse and a small fuse of different sizes, the fuse mounting portion comprising: a large input side fixing portion for fixing a large input terminal provided on one end side of the large fuse; a large output side fixing portion for fixing a large output terminal provided on the other end side of the large fuse; a small input side fixing portion for fixing a small input terminal provided on one end side of the small fuse; and a small output side fixing portion for fixing a small output terminal provided on the other end side of the small fuse, the small input side fixing portion and the small output side fixing portion being arranged between the large input side fixing portion and the large output side fixing portion.

[0024] In order to mount a large fuse on the fuse mounting portion, the large input terminal is fixed to the large input side fixing portion, and the large output terminal is fixed to the large output side fixing portion. In order to mount a small fuse on the fuse mounting portion, the small input terminal is fixed to the small input side fixing portion, and the small output terminal is fixed to the small output side fixing portion. Since a large fuse and a small fuse can be mounted on one fuse mounting portion in this way, at least two fuses of different sizes can be mounted in the same electrical connection box, which can suppress costs.

[0025] (2) Preferably, the bus bar comprises: an input side bus bar having a large input side connection portion and a small input side connection portion, the large input side connection portion being fixed to the large input side fixing portion in a state of being connected to the large input terminal, and the small input side connection portion being fixed to the small input side fixing portion in a state of being connected to the small input terminal; and an output side bus bar having a large output side connection portion and a small output side connection portion, the large output side connection portion being fixed to the large output side fixing portion in a state of being connected to the large output terminal, and the small output side connection portion being fixed to the small output side fixing portion in a state of being connected to the small output terminal.

[0026] In order to connect the large fuse to the input side bus bar, the large input side connection part is fixed to the large input side fixing part together with the large input terminal. In order to connect the large fuse to the output side bus bar, the large output side connection part is fixed to the large output side fixing part together with the large output terminal. In order to connect the small fuse to the input side bus bar, the small input side connection part is fixed to the small input side fixing part together with the small input terminal. In order to connect the small fuse to the output side bus bar, the small output side connection part is fixed to the small output side fixing part together with the small output terminal. In this way, it is possible to select either the large fuse or the small fuse to connect the input side bus bar to the output side bus bar, so that the same electrical connection box can be used to cope with different vehicle models and grades.

The large input side connection portion 34A is arranged at a higher position than the small input side connection portion 34B in the height direction orthogonal to the axis P1 and P2 directions. Both the large input side connection portion 34A and the small input side connection portion 34B have a bolt hole 34D.

[0058] The first fuse connection portion 32A of the second bus bar 32 has: a large output side connection portion 35A fixed to the large output side fixing portion 24 in a state connected to the large output terminal 41C; a small output side connection portion 35B fixed to the small output side fixing portion 26 in a state connected to the small output terminal 42C; and an output side step 35C connecting the large output side connection portion 35A and the small output side connection portion 35B in a step shape. The large output side connection portion 35A is arranged at a position higher than the small output side connection portion 35B in the height direction orthogonal to the axis P1 and P2 directions. Both the large output side connection portion 35A and the small output side connection portion 35B have a bolt hole 35D.

[0059] The dimension between the large input side fixing part 23 and the large output side fixing part 24 is larger than the dimension between the small input side fixing part 25 and the small output side fixing part 26. The large input side fixing part 23, the small input side fixing part 25, the small output side fixing part 26 and the large output side fixing part 24 are arranged in a row in a plan view. The arrangement direction of the large input side fixing part 23, the small input side fixing part 25, the small output side fixing part 26 and the large output side fixing part 24 in a plan view is consistent with the direction of the axes P1 and P2.

[0060] like Figure 4 As shown, the bolt hole 34D of the large input side connection part 34A and the nut N of the large input side fixing part 23 are arranged coaxially. When the large input terminal 41B is placed on the large input side connection part 34A, the bolt hole 34D of the large input side connection part 34A, the nut N of the large input side fixing part 23, and the bolt hole 41D of the large input terminal 41B are arranged coaxially. If the bolt B1 is inserted through the bolt holes 34D and 41D and fastened to the nut N, the large input terminal 41B and the large input side connection part 34A are clamped between the head of the bolt B1 and the nut N, so that the first fuse connection part 31B of the first bus bar 31 and the large input terminal 41B of the large fuse 41 are fixed to the large input side fixing part 23 in a state where they can be conductively connected.

[0061] The bolt hole 35D of the large output side connection part 35A is coaxially arranged with the nut N of the large output side fixing part 24. When the large output terminal 41C is placed on the large output side connection part 35A, the bolt hole 35D of the large output side connection part 35A, the nut N of the large output side fixing part 24, and the bolt hole 41D of the large output terminal 41C are coaxially arranged. If the bolt B1 is inserted through the bolt holes 35D and 41D and fastened to the nut N, the large output terminal 41C and the large output side connection part 35A are clamped between the head of the bolt B1 and the nut N, so that the first fuse connection part 32A of the second bus bar 32 and the large output terminal 41C of the large fuse 41 are fixed to the large output side fixing part 24 in a state where they can be conductively connected.

[0062] [Connection structure of small fuse]

[0063] like Figure 8As shown, the bolt hole 34D of the small input side connection part 34B and the nut N of the small input side fixing part 25 are arranged coaxially. When the small input terminal 42B is placed on the small input side connection part 34B, the bolt hole 34D of the small input side connection part 34B, the nut N of the small input side fixing part 25, and the bolt hole 42D of the small input terminal 42B are arranged coaxially. If a bolt B2 smaller than the bolt B1 is inserted through the bolt holes 34D and 42D and fastened to the nut N, the small input terminal 42B and the small input side connection part 34B are clamped between the head of the bolt B2 and the nut N, so that the first fuse connection part 31B of the first bus bar 31 and the small input terminal 42B of the small fuse 42 are fixed to the small input side fixing part 25 in a state where they can be conductively connected.

[0064] The bolt hole 35D of the small output side connection part 35B is coaxially arranged with the nut N of the small output side fixing part 26. When the small output terminal 42C is placed on the small output side connection part 35B, the bolt hole 35D of the small output side connection part 35B, the nut N of the small output side fixing part 26, and the bolt hole 42D of the small output terminal 42C are coaxially arranged. If the bolt B2 is inserted through the bolt holes 35D and 42D and fastened to the nut N, the small output terminal 42C and the small output side connection part 35B are clamped between the head of the bolt B2 and the nut N, so that the first fuse connection part 32A of the second bus bar 32 and the small output terminal 42C of the small fuse 42 are fixed to the small output side fixing part 26 in a state where they can be conductively connected.

[0065] [Fuse protection wall]

[0066] like Figure 1 As shown in FIG. 1 , the housing 20 includes a pair of fuse protection walls 28 disposed on both sides of the fuse mounting portion 21 in the width direction. Here, the width direction refers to a direction perpendicular to the axis P1 direction and the height direction. The pair of fuse protection walls 28 can be disposed Figure 1 The outer position shown and Figure 2 The pair of fuse protection walls 28 located at the inner position are located at a position further inward than the pair of fuse protection walls 28 located at the outer position. The pair of fuse protection walls 28 located at the outer position cover the large fuse 41 from both sides in the width direction, and the pair of fuse protection walls 28 located at the inner position cover the small fuse 42 from both sides in the width direction.

[0067] like Figure 4 As shown, the fuse protection wall 28 is formed to be larger than the large fuse 41 in the direction of the axis P1 and smaller than the recess 27. In addition, the fuse protection wall 28 is formed to be larger than the large fuse 41 in the height direction and larger than the recess 27. That is, although the upper half of the large fuse 41 protrudes from the recess 27, the protruding portion is covered by the pair of fuse protection walls 28 from both sides in the width direction.

[0068] like Figure 5 As shown, an inner rail 28A is provided at the lower end of the fuse protection wall 28. The inner rail 28A is formed to extend in the width direction in a configuration perpendicular to the fuse protection wall 28. On the other hand, an outer rail 20A into which the inner rail 28A can be inserted is provided at the lower end of the housing 20. The fuse protection wall 28 can move in the width direction between the outer position and the inner position by the inner rail 28A moving along the outer rail 20A.

[0069] The upper surface of the inner rail 28A is provided with a protrusion 28B. On the other hand, the inner surface of the outer rail 20A is provided with a pair of recesses at the outer and inner positions into which the protrusion 28B fits. The fuse protection wall 28 is positioned and held at the outer and inner positions by fitting the protrusion 28B of the inner rail 28A into the recess of the outer rail 20A.

[0070] like Figure 6 As shown, a pair of inner rails 28A are arranged to be point symmetrical with the gear 29 as the center. The inner rail 28A has teeth 28C that mesh with the gear 29. The gear 29 meshes with each tooth 28C at the same time in a form of being sandwiched by the pair of inner rails 28A. Therefore, the pair of fuse protection walls 28 can be linked via the gear 29. Therefore, when one of the fuse protection walls 28 is moved to one side in the width direction, the other fuse protection wall 28 is also moved to the other side in the width direction.

In order to connect the small fuse 42 to the first bus bar 31, the small input side connection part 34B is fixed to the small input side fixing part 25 together with the small input terminal 42B, and in order to connect the small fuse 42 to the second bus bar 32, the small output side connection part 35B is fixed to the small output side fixing part 26 together with the small output terminal 42C. In this way, since it is possible to select either the large fuse 41 or the small fuse 42 to connect the first bus bar 31 to the second bus bar 32, it is possible to use the same electrical connection box 10 to cope with different vehicle models and grades.

[0076] Preferably, the large input side connection portion 34A and the small input side connection portion 34B are arranged at different height positions in the height direction orthogonal to the arrangement direction when viewed from above, the first bus bar 31 has an input side step 34C connecting the large input side connection portion 34A and the small input side connection portion 34B in a step shape, the large output side connection portion 35A and the small output side connection portion 35B are arranged at different height positions in the height direction orthogonal to the arrangement direction when viewed from above, and the second bus bar 32 has an output side step 35C connecting the large output side connection portion 35A and the small output side connection portion 35B in a step shape.

[0077] Since the first bus bar 31 is formed into a step shape by the input side step 34C and the second bus bar 32 is formed into a step shape by the output side step 35C, the large fuse 41 is unlikely to interfere with the bus bar 30 when mounted on the fuse mounting portion 21 .

[0078] Preferably, the shell 20 also has a pair of fuse protection walls 28 arranged on both sides of the fuse mounting portion 21, and the pair of fuse protection walls 28 can be arranged at an outer position covering the large fuse 41 from both sides and an inner position located inner than the outer position and covering the small fuse 42 from both sides.

[0079] The large fuse 41 is protected by a pair of fuse protection walls 28 located at the outer side, and the small fuse 42 is protected by a pair of fuse protection walls 28 located at the inner side.

[0080] Preferably, the pair of fuse protection walls 28 can move in a width direction perpendicular to the directions of the axes P1 and P2 and the height direction, and can be linked via the gears 29 .

[0081] When one fuse protection wall 28 is moved, the other fuse protection wall 28 can be moved via the gear 29 .

[0082] <Other Implementation Methods>

[0083] (1) In the above embodiment, the fuse mounting portion 21 is provided with the recessed portion 27 , but the fuse mounting portion may be a flat shape.

[0084] (2) In the above embodiment, the first bus bar 31 has the input side step 34C and the second bus bar 32 has the output side step 35C, but the bus bar does not necessarily have to be in a step shape. For example, the first bus bar may be formed in a branched shape, with a large input side connection portion and a small input side connection portion provided at the front end of each bus bar.

[0085] (3) In the above embodiment, the large fuse 41 and the small fuse 42 are connected to the bus bar 30 . However, the fuses 41 and 42 may not be connected to the bus bar 30 but may be held in the housing 20 as backup fuses.

[0086] (4) In the above embodiment, the terminals 41B, 41C, 42B, and 42C of the fuses 41 and 42 are fastened to the housing 20 by bolts B1 and B2, but the fixing method may not be fastening by bolts B1 and B2. For example, the fixing method may be welding, or a fixing method using a resin lock or a metal clip.

[0087] (5) In the above embodiment, the fuse mounting portion 21 is exemplified as being able to selectively mount two fuses (large fuse 41 and small fuse 42) of different sizes. However, the fuse mounting portion may be able to selectively mount three or more fuses of different sizes.

[0088] (6) In the above embodiment, the large input side fixing portion 23, the small input side fixing portion 25, the small output side fixing portion 26 and the large output side fixing portion 24 are illustrated as being arranged in a row in sequence when viewed from above. However, they do not necessarily have to be arranged in a row. For example, the fixing portions may be arranged in a configuration in which the axis P1 of the large fuse 41 and the axis P2 of the small fuse 42 are eccentric or intersecting.

[0089] (7) In the above embodiment, the fuse protection wall 28 is exemplified as being formed of a member separate from the housing 20 , but the fuse protection wall may be formed integrally with the housing.

[0090] (8) In the above embodiment, the pair of fuse protection walls 28 are linked by the rack and pinion mechanism using the gear 29 . However, the pair of fuse protection walls may be linked by a link mechanism or the like, for example.
