Artificial cartilage implant and manufacturing method thereof

Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an artificial cartilage implant that can be stably used over a long period of time and that has little change even when used in a living body. This artificial cartilage implant is provided with: a bone implanting part that contains a polymer gel and hydroxyapatite particles dispersed in at least the vicinity of the surface of the polymer gel; and an artificial cartilage part containing a polymer gel, in which, when a cross-section of the polymer gel of the artificial cartilage part is observed, no hydroxyapatite particles are distributed in a region from the surface to a depth of 1000 [mu] m, or, if there is a distribution in the region, the content of hydroxyapatite particles from the surface to a depth of 1000 [mu] m is less than 0.1 wt%.
