[0001] The invention relates to an electric brake device. Background Art

[0002] As a caliper-type electric brake device mounted on a vehicle, there is a device described in Patent Document 1. The electric brake device includes an electric motor and a direct-acting conversion mechanism. The electric motor generates rotational motion according to power supply. The direct-acting conversion mechanism converts the rotational motion generated by the electric motor into linear motion. Moreover, the electric brake device generates a braking force on the wheel by pressing a friction member that is linked to the linear motion converted by the direct-acting conversion mechanism onto a rotating body that rotates together with the wheel. In addition, the electric brake device includes a load sensor that detects the pressing force of the friction member on the rotating body.

[0003] Patent Document 1: Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2021-0002011

[0004] As described above, when assembling the components of the electric brake device during manufacture, it is necessary to perform alignment and phase matching between a large number of components. In addition, the work required for such alignment and phase matching may become an important factor that hinders the improvement of the productivity of the electric brake device. Summary of the invention

[0005] The electric brake device for solving the above-mentioned problems transmits the rotation of the electric motor to the direct-acting conversion mechanism through a transmission mechanism. In the direct-acting conversion mechanism, the rotational motion transmitted by the transmission mechanism is converted from the rotational motion of the rotating part to the linear motion of the direct-acting part, and the friction member linked with the linear motion of the direct-acting part is pressed against the rotating body rotating with the wheel to generate a braking force on the wheel. The electric brake device includes a housing and a casing. The housing is provided with a sensor, an output terminal and the direct-acting conversion mechanism. The sensor detects the pressing load of the friction member on the rotating body, and the output terminal outputs a signal corresponding to the pressing load detected by the sensor. In addition, the housing holds the rotating part of the direct-acting conversion mechanism in a rotatable manner. On the other hand, the housing is provided with the transmission mechanism and a circuit substrate, and the output from the sensor is input to the circuit substrate. In addition, the housing holds the transmission mechanism in a rotatable manner. The transmission mechanism is configured to transmit the rotational motion of the electric motor to the rotating part by mechanically engaging with the rotating part of the direct-acting conversion mechanism. In addition, the housing or the circuit substrate is provided with an input terminal engaged with the output terminal. Furthermore, the electric brake device is configured such that, during assembly of the housing and the casing, the output terminal and the input terminal are fitted together after the transmission mechanism and the rotating portion are fitted together.

[0006] When manufacturing the electric brake device, a housing in which a sensor and a direct-acting conversion mechanism are assembled and a shell in which a transmission mechanism is assembled are assembled. In addition, during the assembly, the output terminal and the input terminal are engaged, and the rotating part of the direct-acting conversion mechanism and the transmission mechanism are engaged. When engaging the output terminal and the input terminal, the two terminals need to be phase-matched, and when engaging the rotating part and the transmission mechanism, the two need to be phase-matched. The electric brake device is configured so that, during the assembly of the housing to the shell, the output terminal and the input terminal are engaged after the rotating part and the transmission mechanism are engaged. Therefore, the phase matching of the output terminal and the input terminal can be performed in a state where the rotating part and the transmission mechanism are engaged. Therefore, the electric brake device has the effect of facilitating the assembly of the housing to the shell during manufacturing.

[0007] Another electric brake device that solves the above-mentioned problem transmits the rotation of the electric motor to the direct-acting conversion mechanism through a transmission mechanism. The housing is provided with a sensor and the direct-acting conversion mechanism, and the sensor detects the pressing load of the friction member on the rotating body. In addition, the housing is provided with an output terminal electrically connected to the sensor, and the output terminal is an output terminal of either a male terminal or a female terminal. On the other hand, the housing or the circuit substrate is provided with an input terminal electrically connected to the circuit substrate, and the input terminal is an input terminal of either the male terminal or the female terminal corresponding to the output terminal. In addition, the sensor and the circuit substrate are electrically connected by the fitting of the output terminal and the input terminal. In addition, a fitting convex portion is provided on one side of the rotating part and the transmission mechanism, and a fitting concave portion fitted with the fitting convex portion is provided on the other side. Moreover, the transmission mechanism is configured to transmit the rotational motion of the electric motor to the rotating part by fitting the fitting concave portion with the fitting convex portion. Both the insertion direction of the male terminal into the female terminal and the insertion direction of the fitting convex portion into the fitting concave portion are parallel to the rotation axis of the rotating part. Moreover, the insertion amount of the fitting convex portion relative to the fitting concave portion is set to be greater than the insertion amount of the male terminal relative to the female terminal.

[0008] When manufacturing the electric brake device, the housing in which the sensor and the direct-acting conversion mechanism are assembled and the housing in which the transmission mechanism is assembled are assembled. In addition, during the assembly, the output terminal and the input terminal are engaged, that is, the male terminal is inserted into the female terminal, and the engaging recess and the engaging protrusion are engaged, that is, the engaging protrusion is inserted into the engaging recess. The insertion direction of the male terminal into the female terminal and the insertion direction of the engaging protrusion into the engaging recess are both parallel to the rotation axis of the rotating part. In addition, the insertion amount of the engaging protrusion into the engaging recess is greater than the insertion amount of the male terminal into the female terminal. In such an electric brake device, in the assembly of the housing into the housing, after a part of the engaging protrusion is inserted into the engaging recess and the rotating part is engaged with the transmission mechanism, the output terminal and the input terminal are engaged. Therefore, the phase matching of the output terminal and the input terminal can be implemented in the state where the rotating part is engaged with the transmission mechanism. Therefore, the electric brake device has the effect of facilitating the assembly operation of the housing into the housing during manufacturing. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0027] Below, according to Figure 1 to Figure 14 An embodiment in which the electric brake device is embodied will be described.

[0028] <Composition of electric brake system>

[0029] First, refer to Figure 1 as well as Figure 2 The structure of the electric brake device 10 according to the present embodiment will be described. Figure 1 2 shows a cross-sectional structure of the electric brake device 10 and its peripheral configuration. Figure 2 It is along Figure 1 2 is a cross-sectional view of the electric brake device 10 taken along line 2-2 of FIG. The electric brake device 10 includes a drive unit 11 and a caliper unit 12 .

[0030] The drive unit 11 includes an electric motor 13 and a transmission mechanism 14. The transmission mechanism 14 is a mechanism for reducing the speed of rotation of the electric motor 13 and transmitting the rotation. In the present embodiment, a reduction gear mechanism including a first gear 15 connected to the electric motor 13, a second gear 16 meshing with the first gear 15, and a third gear 17 meshing with the second gear 16 is used as the transmission mechanism 14. The electric motor 13 is assembled to a housing 18 as a casing of the drive unit 11. In addition, a cover 19 is assembled to the housing 18. Moreover, a storage space for the transmission mechanism 14 is formed by the housing 18 and the cover 19. In addition, the first gear 15, the second gear 16, and the third gear 17 constituting the transmission mechanism 14 are respectively rotatably held in the housing 18. In addition, the drive unit 11 includes a circuit board 20 including a CPU 21 as a control unit for controlling the output of the electric motor 13. The circuit board 20 is stored inside the housing 18 and the cover 19 in a state isolated from the transmission mechanism 14.

[0031] On the other hand, the caliper part 12 has a housing 22, a piston 23, and a direct motion conversion mechanism 25. The housing 22 as a housing of the caliper part 12 is assembled to the housing 18. The housing 22 has a cylinder 24. The cylinder 24 holds the piston 23 in a slidable manner. The direct motion conversion mechanism 25 has a rotating part and a direct motion part. Moreover, the direct motion conversion mechanism 25 converts the rotational motion transmitted by the transmission mechanism 14 from the rotational motion of the rotating part to the linear motion of the direct motion part. In the case of this embodiment, a feed screw mechanism having a threaded shaft 26 as a rotating part and a nut 27 as a direct motion part is adopted as the direct motion conversion mechanism 25. The threaded shaft 26 is engaged with the third gear 17 of the transmission mechanism 14 in a mechanically meshed manner so as to be connected to the third gear in a manner that can transmit the rotational motion. On the other hand, the nut 27 is connected to the piston 23 in a manner that can transmit the linear motion. In addition, the direct motion conversion mechanism 25 is assembled to the electric brake device 10 in a manner that the rotation axis of the threaded shaft 26 is located on the rotation axis O of the third gear 17. The threaded shaft 26 of the direct motion conversion mechanism 25 is rotatably held by the nut 27. The nut 27 is held by the cylinder 24 via the piston 23. Thus, the threaded shaft 26 of the direct motion conversion mechanism 25 is rotatably held by the housing 22 via the nut 27 and the piston 23.

[0032] The electric brake device 10 is arranged on the side of the wheel 28 of the automobile. A brake disc 32 sandwiched by two friction members 30 and 31 is provided so as to rotate integrally on the wheel shaft 29 which is the rotation axis of the wheel 28. When the piston 23 presses one of the two friction members 30 and 31, the two friction members 30 and 31 operate in a linked manner so that the interval between the two members becomes narrower.

[0033] Such an electric brake device 10 generates a braking force on the wheel 28 in the following manner. The rotation of the electric motor 13 is decelerated by the first gear 15, the second gear 16, and the third gear 17 via the transmission mechanism 14, and is transmitted to the threaded shaft 26 of the direct motion conversion mechanism 25. In the direct motion conversion mechanism 25, the rotational motion of the threaded shaft 26 is converted into the direct motion of the nut 27. In addition, the friction members 30 and 31 press the brake disc 32 in conjunction with the linear motion, thereby generating a braking force on the wheel 28. In this embodiment, the brake disc 32 corresponds to the rotating body.

[0034] In the following description, in the electric brake device 10, the direction parallel to the rotation axis O of the third gear 17 is described as the axial direction. In addition, in the axial direction, when viewed from the third gear 17, the side where the nut 27, which is a direct-acting element of the direct-acting conversion mechanism 25, is located is described as the axial front F, and the opposite side is described as the axial rear R.

[0035] <Load sensor and terminal configuration>

[0036] The electric brake device 10 includes a load sensor 34, which is a sensor for detecting a pressing load applied by the friction members 30 and 31 to the brake disc 32. The load sensor 34 is stored in the housing 22. In addition, the threaded shaft 26 of the linear motion conversion mechanism 25 has a threaded portion 26A provided with a thread that meshes with the nut 27 at the axial front F thereof. The load sensor 34 is arranged at a portion of the cylinder 24 that is axially rearward R of the threaded portion 26A.

[0037] When the friction members 30 and 31 press the brake disc 32, the reaction force is applied to the piston 23. The reaction force applied to the piston 23 is transmitted to the threaded shaft 26 via the nut 27. The load sensor 34 is configured to receive the reaction force transmitted to the threaded shaft 26. Moreover, the load sensor 34 is configured to output a signal corresponding to the reaction force received from the threaded shaft 26 as a detection signal of the pressing load.

[0038] exist Figure 3 The planar structure of the load sensor 34 as viewed from the axial rear R is shown. The load sensor 34 is in the shape of a circular column having a hole in the center through which the threaded shaft 26 passes. In addition, the load sensor 34 has a male terminal 35 protruding toward the axial rear R as an output terminal for outputting a signal corresponding to the pressing load. The male terminal 35 has three plugs 35A protruding toward the axial rear R.

[0039] exist Figure 4 The planar structure of the housing 22 is shown as viewed from the axial front F. The housing 22 has a shaft hole 37 , which is a hole through which the screw shaft 26 passes, and a terminal hole 38 , which is a hole through which the male terminal 35 passes, in a portion of the wall surface constituting the axial rear R of the cylinder 24 .

[0040] On the other hand, the housing 18 is provided with an input terminal that fits with the output terminal of the load sensor 34. In the present embodiment, since the male terminal 35 is used as the output terminal, the input terminal is a female terminal 36 into which the male terminal 35 is inserted.

[0041] exist Figure 5 The three-dimensional structure of the female terminal 36 is shown. The female terminal 36 has three socket holes 36A into which the plugs of the male terminal 35 are inserted. Figure 4 The terminal hole 38 of the housing 22 shown is of a size and shape capable of inserting the female terminal 36 .

[0042] like Figure 2 As shown, in the electric brake device 10, the load sensor 34 is provided in a state where the male terminal 35 is inserted into the female terminal 36 provided in the housing 18. In the following description, the insertion amount of the male terminal 35 relative to the female terminal 36 is described as the terminal insertion amount L1. More specifically, the terminal insertion amount L1 is the length of the portion of each plug 35A of the male terminal 35 located in the socket hole 36A of the female terminal 36. The insertion direction of the male terminal 35 relative to the female terminal 36 is the axial direction.

[0043] In the housing 18, the female terminal 36 is wired to the circuit board 20. Thus, the detection signal of the pressing load of the load sensor 34 is input to the CPU 21 of the circuit board 20. Then, the CPU 21 controls the output of the electric motor 13 based on the detection value of the pressing load of the load sensor 34.

[0044] <Connection structure between the screw shaft and the third gear>

[0045] As described above, the screw shaft 26 of the linear motion conversion mechanism 25 is connected to the third gear 17 of the transmission mechanism 14 so that rotational motion can be transmitted. Next, the connection structure between the screw shaft 26 and the third gear 17 will be described.

[0046] exist Figure 6 FIG. 2 shows the three-dimensional structure of the end portion of the threaded shaft 26 at the axial rear R. Figure 6 As shown, the threaded shaft 26 has a fitting protrusion 39 in a quadrangular prism shape at the end portion in the axial rear direction R. In addition, the portion between the threaded portion 26A and the fitting protrusion 39 in the threaded shaft 26 is a cylindrical shaft portion 26B.

[0047] exist Figure 7 FIG. 1 shows the planar structure of the third gear 17 observed from the axial front F. Figure 8 Shown along Figure 7The cross-sectional structure of the third gear 17 taken along line 8-8 of FIG. A fitting recess 41 having a quadrangular prism shape is provided at the center of the third gear 17 , into which the fitting protrusion 39 of the threaded shaft 26 can fit.

[0048] like Figure 2 As shown, in the electric brake device 10, the threaded shaft 26 is assembled in a state where its fitting protrusion 39 is fitted with the fitting recess 41. Moreover, by fitting the fitting protrusion 39 and the fitting recess 41 in the shape of a quadrangular prism, the third gear 17 and the threaded shaft 26 are connected in a manner that can transmit rotational motion. In addition, in the electric brake device 10, the threaded shaft 26 is assembled in a state where a part of the fitting protrusion 39 protrudes axially rearward R compared to the third gear 17. In the following description, the length of the part of the fitting protrusion 39 that protrudes axially rearward R compared to the third gear 17 is recorded as the fitting portion protrusion amount L2. In addition, the insertion amount of the fitting protrusion 39 relative to the fitting recess 41 is recorded as the fitting portion insertion amount L3. The fitting portion insertion amount L3 is the sum of the length of the part of the fitting protrusion 39 located in the fitting recess 41 and the fitting portion protrusion amount L2. In the electric brake device 10 of this embodiment, the length of the fitting protrusion 39 is set so that the fitting portion protrusion amount L2 is larger than the terminal insertion amount L1. In addition, since the fitting portion insertion amount L3 is larger than the fitting portion protrusion amount L2, the fitting portion insertion amount L3 is also larger than the terminal insertion amount L1.

[0049] <Production procedure of electric brake device>

[0050] Next, the manufacturing procedure of the electric brake device 10 is described. When manufacturing the electric brake device 10, the components of the caliper unit 12 are assembled, that is, the load sensor 34, the linear motion conversion mechanism 25, and the piston 23 are assembled to the housing 22. Then, the caliper unit 12 to which the components have been assembled is assembled to the housing 18.

[0051] <Assembly of caliper parts>

[0052] Reference Figures 9 to 11 Next, the order of assembling the components of the caliper unit 12 will be described. The components of the caliper unit 12 are assembled in a state where the piston 23 is assembled to the nut 27 of the linear motion conversion mechanism 25 in advance.

[0053] When assembling the components of the caliper portion 12, the load sensor 34 is first assembled to the housing 22. Fig. 9 As shown, the load sensor 34 is assembled to the innermost part of the cylinder 24 of the housing 22 in a state where the front end of the male terminal 35 passes through the terminal hole 38 and protrudes axially rearward R. The innermost part of the cylinder 24 refers to the part of the cylinder 24 closest to the axial rearward R. In addition, it is preferred that the load sensor 34 is provided in the cylinder 24 in a state where the rotation around the rotation axis O is restricted using a rotation-stopping member such as a pin.

[0054] Next, the direct-acting conversion mechanism 25 and the piston 23 are assembled to the housing 22 in which the load sensor 34 is assembled. Fig.10 As shown in FIG. 1 , in the second step, first, the axial rear R portion of the threaded shaft 26 is inserted into the central hole of the load sensor 34 and the axial hole 37 of the housing 22. Then, as shown in FIG. Fig.11 As shown, the linear motion conversion mechanism 25 and the piston 23 are inserted into the cylinder 24 to a position where the threaded portion 26A contacts the load sensor 34 .

[0055] <Assembly of the caliper unit to the housing>

[0056] Reference Figure 12 to Figure 14 , the assembly order of the caliper part 12 to the housing 18 is described. The caliper part 12 is assembled in a state where the first gear 15, the second gear 16, and the third gear 17 of the transmission mechanism 14 and the female terminal 36 are assembled to the housing 18 in advance. In addition, the electric motor 13, the cover 19, and the circuit board 20 can be assembled to the housing 18 before or after the caliper part 12 is assembled.

[0057] In addition, in the present embodiment, the assembling operation is performed in a state where the caliper portion 12 is fixed and the housing 18 is held as described below. That is, the state where the rotation axis O of the third gear 17 is located on the rotation axis of the threaded shaft 26 is maintained, and the housing 18 can rotate around the rotation axis O and can move linearly in the axial direction.

[0058] When assembling the caliper portion 12 to the housing 18, first Fig.12 As shown, the housing 18 is moved in the axial direction until the distance between the fitting protrusion 39 and the fitting recess 41 of the screw shaft 26 is close to a certain extent. Then, the phase of the fitting protrusion 39 and the fitting recess 41 is matched. That is, the housing 18 is rotated so that the rotation phase of the fitting protrusion 39 around the rotation axis O becomes a phase that can be inserted into the fitting recess 41.

[0059] Next, if Fig.13 As shown, the housing 18 is moved axially forward F until a portion of the fitting protrusion 39 is inserted into the fitting recess 41. Fig.13 "D" in FIG. 1 represents the distance between the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 in the axial direction, that is, the distance between the terminals. At this time, the housing 18 is not moved forward in the axial direction F from the position where the distance D between the terminals becomes "0".

[0060] Then, if Fig.14 As shown, the phases of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 are matched. That is, the housing 18 is rotated so that the rotation phase of the male terminal 35 around the rotation axis O becomes a phase that allows the male terminal 35 to be inserted into the female terminal 36.

[0061] Thereafter, the housing 18 is moved to a position in contact with the case 22. By this movement, the male terminal 35 is inserted into the female terminal 36. In addition, when the housing 18 and the case 22 are fixed by bolt fastening, the fixing operation is performed. As described above, the assembly of the caliper part 12 to the housing 18 is completed.

[0062] <Functions and effects of implementation>

[0063] The operation and effects of the electric brake device 10 according to the present embodiment configured as described above will be described.

[0064] As described above, during the manufacturing process of the electric brake device 10, the caliper unit 12 is assembled to the housing 18. During the assembly process of the caliper unit 12 to the housing 18, the fitting protrusion 39 of the threaded shaft 26 is fitted to the fitting recess 41 of the third gear 17, and the male terminal 35 of the load sensor 34 is inserted into the female terminal 36 provided on the housing 18. Therefore, during the assembly of the caliper unit 12 to the housing 18, it is necessary to match the phases of the fitting recess 41 and the fitting protrusion 39, and match the phases of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36.

[0065] For example, the caliper portion 12 can be assembled to the housing 18 in the following order. First, the engaging recess 41 and the engaging protrusion 39, and the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 are in a phase-matched state. Then, while maintaining this state, the caliper portion 12 and the housing 18 are relatively displaced in the axial direction to assemble the two.

[0066] However, the third gear 17 provided with the fitting recess 41 is provided in the housing 18 in a state where it can rotate. In addition, the threaded shaft 26 provided with the fitting protrusion 39 is also provided in the housing 22 in a state where it can rotate. Therefore, in order to form a state where the phases of the fitting recess 41 and the fitting protrusion 39 are consistent, and the phases of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 are consistent, it is necessary to rotate the threaded shaft 26 and the third gear 17 to adjust their rotational phases. In addition, in order to prevent the phases from being offset during the assembly operation, it is necessary to fix the threaded shaft 26 and the third gear 17 so that they cannot rotate.

[0067] In contrast, in the electric brake device 10 of the present embodiment, when the caliper portion 12 is assembled to the housing 18, the phase matching of the fitting protrusion 39 and the fitting recess 41 can be performed, and after the fitting of them, the phase matching of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 can be performed. Therefore, the caliper portion 12 can be assembled to the housing 18 while the phase matching of the fitting protrusion 39 and the fitting recess 41 and the phase matching of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 are performed. Therefore, the assembly work of the caliper portion 12 to the housing 18 becomes easy. In addition, at least one of the fitting protrusion 39 and the fitting recess 41 can be chamfered. By performing the chamfering, some phase shift can be absorbed, so the phase matching becomes easy.

[0068] <Dimensional requirements for components of electric brake system>

[0069] As described above, if the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 can be phase-matched with the mating protrusion 39 and the mating recess 41, the caliper 12 can be easily assembled to the housing 18. The dimensional requirements of the components of the electric brake device 10 that enable such an assembly are examined.

[0070] Here, if Fig.15 As shown, consider the case where the caliper portion 12 is assembled to the housing 18 by reducing the distance between the caliper portion 12 and the housing 18 in the axial direction while maintaining the rotation axis of the threaded shaft 26 on the rotation axis O of the third gear 17. Fig.16 As shown in the figure, if the inter-terminal distance D is larger than 0, the engaging convex portion 39 is engaged with the engaging concave portion 41, the phase matching of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 can be performed after the engaging convex portion 39 and the engaging concave portion 41 are engaged. In the following description, the phase matching of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 after the engaging convex portion 39 and the engaging concave portion 41 are engaged is described as the terminal phase matching after engagement.

[0071] On the other hand, if the inter-terminal distance D is greater than 0, the interlocking recess 41 is not engaged with the interlocking protrusion 39, and the post-engagement terminal phase matching cannot be performed. Therefore, the condition for performing post-engagement terminal phase matching is that the interlocking protrusion 39 is in the engaged state with the interlocking recess 41 when the inter-terminal distance D is 0.

[0072] like Fig.17As shown, consider the case where the fitting concave portion 41 starts fitting into the fitting convex portion 39 while the distance D between the terminals is 0. This state becomes a boundary state that distinguishes whether the terminal phase matching after fitting can be implemented. In this case, the terminal insertion amount L1 and the fitting portion insertion amount L3 at the moment of assembly completion become equal. Therefore, as long as the dimensions of the components of the electric brake device 10 are set so that the fitting portion insertion amount L3 is larger than the terminal insertion amount L1, the terminal phase matching after fitting can be implemented.

[0073] If the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 are phase-matched in a state where the engagement protrusion 39 is only partially engaged with the engagement recess 41, the engagement protrusion 39 may be separated from the engagement recess 41 during operation. Therefore, it is preferable to phase-match the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 in a state where the engagement protrusion 39 is fully engaged with the engagement recess 41.

[0074] like Fig.18 As shown, consider the case where the inter-terminal distance D is exactly 0, and the engaging protrusion 39 and the engaging recess 41 are in an integrally engaged state. This state becomes a boundary state that distinguishes whether or not the phase matching of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 in the state where the engaging protrusion 39 and the engaging recess 41 are integrally engaged can be implemented. In this case, the terminal insertion amount L1 and the engaging portion protrusion amount L2 at the moment of assembly completion become equal. Therefore, as long as the dimensions of the components of the electric brake device 10 are set so that the engaging portion protrusion amount L2 is larger than the terminal insertion amount L1, the phase matching of the male terminal 35 and the female terminal 36 can be performed in the state where the engaging protrusion 39 and the engaging recess 41 are integrally engaged.
