Abstract

A method for manufacturing a card for use by the visually impaired, wherein the card has a length of 8.5 to 8.7 cm and a height of 5.3 to 5.5 cm, the method comprising: providing a plastic base carrier layer, providing at least one plastic inlay carrier layer on the base carrier layer, providing a plastic top layer on the at least one plastic inlay carrier layer, and providing a plurality of tactile prints on the plastic top layer by means of flatbed screen printing, wherein the tactile prints protrude from the plastic top layer, wherein the plurality of tactile prints form an alphanumeric Braille code or codes, thereby obtaining a card for use by the visually impaired.
