AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The complexity in creating production jobs for component mounting machines arises from the need to arrange backup pins at specific positions for each machine, which can differ, leading to complications when positions are not common across multiple machines.

Method used

An automatic backup pin arrangement system that uses a control device to determine if backup pins can be automatically arranged at designated positions, excluding those that cannot and arranging only other pins, allowing common and non-common positions to be addressed within a production job, thereby simplifying the setup process.

Benefits of technology

This system enables automatic arrangement of backup pins at both common and non-common positions, reducing the need for individual setup on each machine and simplifying production job creation by using a shared arrangement configuration.

Abstract

In component mounting machine (10) configured to automatically arranges backup pins (51) at positions designated in a production job, an arrangement of the backup pins designated in the production job is used in common by multiple component mounting machines arranged along a conveyance path of the circuit board, and a position of each backup pin is designated at a position relative to the circuit board. A control device configured to control an operation of each of the component mounting machines determines whether a backup pins exists at a position where the backup pin cannot be automatically arranged in the arrangement of the backup pins designated in the production job, and when the backup pin exist at a position where the backup pin cannot be automatically arranged, excludes the backup pins at the position from the arrangement of the backup pins designated in the production job not to be automatically arranged, and automatically arranges only the other backup pins at the positions designated in the production job.
