A method (100) for determining a parameter representing a setpoint torque (XOUT) for a motor (12) comprising: A control step (E2) determining a control variable (IDCCom) as a function of a DC current threshold (IDCMax) and a measured DC current (IDCMes); A determination step (E3) determining an upper limit (XLimMax) and a lower limit (XLimMin) of the parameter representing the setpoint torque (XOUT) as a function of the control variable (IDCCom); An evaluation step (E4) determining the parameter representing the setpoint torque (XOUT) as a function of the upper limit (XLimMax) and the lower limit (XLimMin) of the parameter representing the setpoint torque (XOUT), and a parameter representing the desired torque (XIN).
